Unfortunately this criticism extends to the entire Xbox ecosystem. The brand appears to be a shell of its former self where MS want “everything” to be an Xbox where you can use you Gamepass subscription. Far from the glory days of the 360 where exclusive games and console sales mattered.

GT7 wasn't/isn't disappointing. The worst was a short time of people complaining about grinding, maybe a couple months and they fixed it, that's it.

Forza should combine car mechanic simulator with the base game. One thing i liked about old forzas was the explanation of car parts vs now it's just a car performance grade. I'd love to own my garage and tinker with my cars while actually racing. If you're gonna just release the same racing game with no real graphic upboost over and over then im out. Well I've been out since 5 honestly.

Personally I think its quite an okay game its just the obvious facts that you stated with the engines not sounding correct and how the penalty system is straight up whack but I also have to give the game credit for adding some realism with the tracks and boundaries (but hey its a motorsport game so obviously its going to have tracks), I think to improve the game they would definitely want to rework the skill rating system and the penalty system ah also the tyre degradation system as its just not even realistic then maybe add some more real world tracks and more GT3/LMP cars as the ones we have are quite similar in body-shape and vehicle specifications, maybe they could also add rally based races like rally cross or dirt racing as I feel like the game has just gone dry with content recently.

FM2 was the whole reason I bought an Xbox (360). Way back when as a kid I'd bring car magazines for silent reading during school, and one had an ad with a scratch & sniff portion where it smelt like burning rubber "Forza Motorsport 2, so realistic you can almost smell it". Bought every Motorsport title from thereon through the good and the bad, FM4 was probably my favourite console game ever even over Halo/COD. Now it's the reason I'm holding off on next-gen console/Xbox Series X. With life in the way, I delayed upgrading to a next-gen console, missing out on FM"8" launch. Forgot I could play on cloud, so I gave it a try, the only thing I missed out on was not wasting $80 on the game, and even more for a next gen console I wouldn't play.

since the trailer came out and the first gameplay trailer they only talk about graphic improvements, new graphic, new shadow, damage and immersion. Not a single sentence they talk about how the gameplay would be and the mechanic of the game. Turns out its shit, now I know why 🤣

just the sound design alone was bad enough to make me not want to play , the game was just not fun and its still not giving us instant hoppers like fm7, i still go back and play fm7 and have a great time racing against people, but in fm8 its takes way to long to hop in a race, i dont care about e sports, I just want a game to play, i can easily hop into a game in fm7 that game came out when.........

The crew hands down has a way better map and even a free extension FOR FREE and coming from Ubisoft

Forza Motorsport 4 was the PEAK of the franchise compared to later iterations. Less and less soul was injected into the games and the recycling/slimming of content really shows now. Speak with your wallets folks. Never pre-order, and switch to PC.

The AMG one sound has been degraded from Forza horizon 5. Why? Thankfully the game has mods on PC.

I agree with so much of this. One of the most demoralising things about Forza Motorsport is its obnoxiously terrible AI racers. They ruin every race one way or another, completely demolishing any pretence of serious sim racing. This has never been fixed, as far as I can tell. It actively stops me from playing. I want the NPC cars to act with a semblance of actual racing etiquette. Why is this so completely difficult to achieve? Motorsport was not a step forward in any meaningful sense. At best, it stood still; at worst, it regressed.

You missed the point with this game big time: it's not a racing game at all. It's a DRIVING game, for those interested in driving.

Literally un-drivable - Was highly disappointed. Complete failure. CARS DON'T EVEN TURN.
