How much would it roughly take to have this place renovated in to a livable condition?

A beautiful house, a great pity not to look after it and hand it down to your children, if you have any. If not still worth keeping it in your family, takes a long time to grow roots somewhere, you are lucky to have somewhere with good memories.

I absolutely love this property!! The minute I saw the outside of the house I knew it would be nice inside. I love the natural hedge outside and I love the inside space. I definitely got good vibes as you said Rino! And best of all it’s in Abruzzo, which is where my family came from…Cellino Attanasio, Teramo. I wish I could buy it but my husband doesn’t want to move or vacation in Italy. Very sad for me. I can only dream but pray a lovely family will buy the house and be very happy. Btw, I love church bells🙏🏼❤️

Would make a nice holiday home. I would like to see more of the immediate area of these places.

I love it but on one hand you say , sign me up for this one but later on the video your scary me , telling us for the BRAVE ONES !!?😮😮😅 Soooo now i dó want too see it but is it thát "bad" too renovate . Do you have too replacement everything like electric, pipes , water , roof .... because i'm not in a hurry and have construction friends , i think prices too do this, can be very different. Offcause it has too be done good the important parts but you can save on other work ... spend a 100.000 well not in a 100.000 years , ore you have very high needs off big swimmingpools and expansive ? Fench around but not in my world , i did 2 houses in the Netherlands, yes than poehhh everything costs 2 times more , specialy wood ... but everyone has hos his Dreams and other standard . For me without seeing it ?? Not yet panic ... but please can someone SAVE THAT BEAUTYFUL TREE , he will die because off this plant (klimop) they strangel trees and eat stone in way ... 😢😅 don't know wuth this one ... perfect location , no smoking with all thoose dry trees but view etc etc ❤

I was very touched that you allowed us to come along on this reunion with your grandmother’s home. Thank you. Maybe I am old fashioned. I think that you should enjoy the house for at least one summer and think what you should do. Don’t rush into anything. I think that Airbnbs are the scourge of the planet. They raise property prices for the native people, allow visitors to come to a country and not integrate and are horrible for those who live near them. I can speak from experience as my family lived in Cornwall and North Yorkshire, UK, where they were prevalent. If you must rent it out, offer it to Italians first, or people who are coming to buy property in Italy. People who want to live in Italy on a full-time basis. We found one man who is offering such rentals, but he is American and changes way too much! 😅

its a lovely space, i was thinking if you renovated the bottom rooms for a bnb or rent it out and keep the upstairs for yourself or bnb as well,

It’s obvious you like sharing, renovating your Grandmothers home would make it so much more personal. Whatever you decide, I will continue to watch and enjoy.

Everytime i see a lovely propperty like this it comes with these enorm acres off ground but i don't know bad it is incite , ore do i miss that ... ? Would it be possible too create a place for ? Let say 4 / 6 campers . Ore is that not done in the small village. I have no idea . Let me know . Would there alsow be people who would take over ore rent the land with the olive trees ? In the Netherlands that is possible. Maybey it just is tooooo mutch off everything 😅😮 but the location is fantastic , the house looks so different, nice the way it's build .

Nice , also this small "village " because i love Guardiagrele and it's near but i miss a little garden for my doggy and me . The houses on the egde off town with the free views. 100% super . Very special this one .

This lovely house could be duet. B&B sometimes and your beloved home sometimes. Renovate it with those thoughts. Let the B&B support the renovation. Most of all, find peace there with your family. She would have loved that. And your lucky guests will have the gift of her hospitality and yours.

Canadians are document people. I'm sure you and your mum have all your affairs in order.

Do you live nearby? Do you enjoy dealing with people? If not, forget the air Bnb idea. It would only be an aggravation and an expense. Do you normally spend your summers there? What does your wife think? If you are not going to spend at least your summers there, then there is no justification for keeping the house. Taxes, utilities and maintenance would be an ongoing cost that you will eventually tire of. I have been in your situation. Living permanently in the USA and my father in Italy. When he passed I took a lot of pictures and sold the house. He had done the same in the past with his grandparents' house which he did not need. Your memories are the most important thing. Your grandmother is alive in your heart, not within four walls. I would offer the house for sale to my relatives for a discounted price, and if there are no takers, I would sell it and get something that you can enjoy with your wife, and your kids if you have any. Your future is with them. If you decide to sell no renovations are necessary except painting the rooms on the ground floor. Empty the house as much as possible, especially of all personal things. Buyers are not interested in a museum. Get everything clean and uncluttered, smelling good. Let another family make their own memories. All the best to you!

Well, hello to you, first , i wish i had something from my grandparent..so many Q. Now you should ask yourself what DO YOU want. Do you want your GM house for yourself ? Do you see yourself living there, do you have money enough to renovate, get an estimated renovation and see afterwards, do you live now in another home that you love that you love your environment there , you should sit with a huge blank paper and do pros and cons ..which ever you decide cherish the fact that you have connection to the past and by your life a connection to the future.

Renovate please, but enjoy your home.

This was such a lovely video. Really nice to see the photos of you with your nonna. Don't rush to do anything. With all the memories there are in that well kept house you should first enjoy it for yourself and your family. A few family get togethers, some weekends away etc. For that the house looks in great condition. Take your time to decide whether to renovate or sell.
