I think that the DMC colors have changed somewhat over the years. So a number from the 1990’s isn’t the same as it is now. Not certain about that but I see people comment about color changes on other FlossTube channels.

Hi Katie. Your cross stitches are beautiful. I love the peonies with the black fabric. It would look lovely as a bag too. The house one looks gorgeous and the castle looking one looks great. For the bear cross stitch you could leave the flowers wreath and do another quilt pattern using the log quilt pattern or a triangle pattern for on the quilt and use the brown orange colour you did use in the bear in that and maybe use a darker green or use other colours that you think would work. Just an idea for you. Hope you have a good weekend.

What about change the green leaf wreaths on the quilt to a different shade that is green with a blue undertone. You can even blend… even a subtle sparkle. The charted flowers on the quilt could be changed to a simple 2 color form rose with a better form. I would sit with graph paper and colored pencils to try it out. You can borrow from other patterns you like too. Or change flowers to hearts. Changing them to blue just looks too matchy matchy, simplistic, and almost like you were missing a floss color. I wasn’t sure if it was the leaf wreaths or the flowers on the quilt that bothered you. It’s coming out great! I prefer a brown tan bear than an orange one.

😂 I see what you see! I think you are right, blue will fix it. Maybe make the shapes more flower like by adding petals on the round shape.

I think it is the lack of tutorials in English for Saga that hold people back, it did me. I use Cross Stitch Paradise Pro, and love it, in fact I prefer it to PK. I love the Peony, but that you can see through the screen how horrid the floss looks. Congratulations for sticking with it. Kay xx

About the " Sweet Teddy with Quilt ", I would leave the quilt out ! The teddy is nice but the quilt is unnecesary I think. Your idea of an actual lace & ribon border would work well.

I use Cross Stitch Paradise Pro, which is like Saga. It’s definitely a learning curve.

Thanks for the video Katie - always fun to watch. I'm working on a cute pattern at the moment called 'Evening in the Shire' by Cute Patterns by Maria (on Etsy). It's some hobbit holes with a moon and clouds. If you like backstitch it's great. I would recommend doing it on evenweave not aida as there's a lot of the backstitch that goes through the halfway point on the fabric (tricky on aida).

I also own Oriental Splendor but can't start it until I finish my current Dimensions WIP. I vote that one for your new frame!

I love the Nora Corbett E! I looked at my initial C but I didn’t like it as much. My middle initial is E but I don’t think I can justify stitching it. 😂. But the Klimt Tree looks gorgeous! ❤❤ I may have to get that one!! I saw a seller on Etsy that sells them completed for $500 and I thought it was the price for the pattern!! 😳. 😂. I just remembered that I have a digitized pattern for Oriental Splendor, if you are interested I can share the Saga file with you because it's a huge pattern and a digital pattern would make it a lot easier in my opinion 😅

Thanks for another great flip-through! I have stitched Madame le Fee. It was the Christmas one, "Un Noel en Or," and I only stitched the nutcracker. I showed the finish in one of my videos. It was extremely confetti heavy so a huge challenge. I love the pattern you picked. So pretty!

I think I most like the Oriental Flowers for that frame, and would indeed be a great start for an Asian inspired wall. An every other day vlog sounds perfect! Maybe feature a variety of your favorite trims and ornament finishing ideas.

Great video, as always! My preference for your big frame would be the peonies, but you always seem to envision how you want to complete your projects, so it will be beautiful with either one. On the Dimensions Kit Aida, I take my fabric and lay it in warm water for about 45 minutes and then drape it over a towel on the shower rod to dry. It softens the fabric just enough. The stiff fabric is too scratchy. I love your choice of the opalescent fabric for the ornaments. Looks beautiful! I found a Mill Hill book like the one you showed…it’s a must have for me!! On your Vlogmas, I know some I watch film for a week…little snippets… and post once a week. I would love to hear about Russian Christmas traditions and maybe some recipes! 😊❤. I have the same kit. Not sure when I will start it as I am knitting socks for gifts for Christmas. I really like the flower angel you have nearly finished and the Winery one you finished for you Mum is lovely. Your craft room is looking great. I like the wall paper and the magnetic board with the collection of needle minders on it. I have just started collecting needle minders and will eventually use one while I cross stitch again.
