Hello Katie. Beautiful finish on Garden Door. To keep threads from tangling, I finger comb my threads on cards, gather them and wrap around thread card. Happy stitching!
I posted in my video before how I now organize my dimensions floss, this one is my first dimensions kit and for a long time we had love hate relationship lol
You have every right to your opinion regarding the charts. You didn’t say anything negative, other than sharing the difficulty of the Dimensions kits. I love your kitty.
Hi Katie - love your finishes! The Dimensions is my personal favorite but the Rooster is lovely. Plus, I am very happy that you found your “red head” piece and can finish that after all your hard work. I am grateful that you openly share your challenges with each pattern and company. I find you offering constructive criticism and helpful advice for stitching the beautiful pieces you’ve chosen. I hope you will continue to do so. Stitch what you love! Happy Stitching 🧵🪡 Jacque🐑
Still collecting info, but for now the main question everyone has is - how to put pattern in it. You need your pattern in speacial xsd form. So you can google yourself name of you projects xsd saga, but whatever you find on the internet doesn’t mean it’s a right pattern mistakes can be in there, find me on instagram- redstitchery and I’ll give a link to the girl who can make a pattern for you :)
Enjoyed seeing your video. The Garden Door and Rooster turned out so beautiful. I loved them, and I liked the progress on your other pieces, too. Your cat is so pretty and sweet. Can't wait to see more.
I’m thinking about his companion every day 🙈😀 I have so many plans that I have to stop myself from starting her but I don’t know how long I can hold anymore lol I can feel it’s going to happen soon 😀
This is your channel, you can give your opinion on any pattern you like. There are more people who agree with you than disagree with you but for some reason the loudest people are the negative ones. I for one appreciate you for sharing your honest opinions! ❤
That house wow a lot of work and it is beautiful to. The flowers on the blue material is lovely. Pay no attention what people say to you about Dimensions stitchers comment about them a lot how they are not for the faint heart. It is for sure wonderful looking forward to seeing it framed
Lovely work!! The rooster is so cute and the goodnight chicken is such a nice pattern too!! The large dimensions piece you finished is also really pretty - I love how they incorporate different textures into their patterns 🥰 when you were discussing the technique where you use one need to lay a long piece of floss down, and another needle to anchor it to the fabric - the technique in English is called couching ☺️
Super progress ❤ the rooster looks amazing 🤩 I also don't drink alcohol but I love the wine mill hill. Such a thoughtful and lovely gift. I just love when someone else appreciates the work that goes into cross stitching 😊
Katie, You were showing how you did the long back stitching and curving it and then doing a tacking stitch over it to hold it down- in English that would be called "couching." Another lovely video, thank you! 🐸
I am so glad you found your old project, it already looks stunning, but I think your finishing ideas will really help it shine. Congrats on your lovely finishes!!! Your perseverance paid off on the dimensions kit!! And the rooster is perfect! I have the Hen and Rooster all kitted up (thank you again for your help on the beads!) and I plan to use Saga too. I have a couple of goals to meet before I do, but I am very excited! I would love a video on Saga and any tips you can share....it will be my first time using it. Thank you for another great video 💛✨
I was so worried I threw it out! Thank you 😊 oh! Yay! I’m so happy to help and so excited for you with saga! I wish all designers and brands would incloud saga option with their pdf/ kits I’m still working on saga video, collection all info, which I know it’s impossible to know everything, but I just want it to be very informative ☺️
Love your videos! I’m always impressed how much you’re able to get done. Maybe an idea for a future video, show us your stitch method - I wish I was as fast as you so I’d love to see your secret! 😅
I really enjoy seeing your projects and how you talk about them. Such great information. Beautiful finishes. I got a Dimensions Gold kit for Christmas 2 years ago. I had just started learning stitching. It was hard to read. I would lose my place all the time. My stitching became better over the 2 years I worked on it but the pattern never got easier to read. I do so much better with black and white patterns. Having colored shapes is just confusing for my mind. I probably won't ever do a Dimensions kit again because it was just too confusing for me.
Maybe you could get the pattern copied in black and white ? I don’t do Dimensions because I have never seen a pattern I like yet, so I don’t know if it’s feasible for the photo copy idea to work.
I tried copying that at home but because it had colored areas in addition to the shapes it was just as difficult to read. It's probably easier to scan it in and read it digitally. I have a kit that had a colored staped canvas. It would be easier for me to just do the pattern unstamped. It's so interesting how the mind works. @@Lisa-vb3gn
Soon I’ll post about saga app if not for that app I would not be able to stitch dimensions! Find me on Instagram - redsstitchery and I’ll give you a link to a girl who can make saga pattern for you :)
Nearly everything you’ve shown on your FlossTube has been added to my wishlists! 😂. It’s very dangerous for me to watch but I love your projects! Your Dimensions projects are just gorgeous!!
Ha ha, don’t worry I’m the same way with everyone who I watch, lol 😀 very excited to show what I finished in this couple weeks, will post about it next week ☺️
I’m thinking about chicken every day lol, I have lots of projects that I’m trying to finish right now so as soon as I find a window for her I’ll start her 😀
Your finishes are so lovely. I do agree some Dimensions kits are hard to follow especially with the different colours on the cart like pink which is hard on the eyes. I prefer uncolored charts less distracting. Keep to your plan of finishing the wine and your flowers 💐. Once again I look forward to your next video.
Your progress on everything looks great! I consider myself an experienced stitcher and I also can struggle with seeing all of the overlapping colors and symbols of Dimension charts. However, I love the final result so like you, I make it work. You may not have been stitching for a long time but you are definitely not a beginner. Shame on someone for being so unkind. You handled it gracefully though. Look forward to seeing that blue chicken come to life lol!
I really wish Dimensions will change their charts to only one colour. The 3 colours confuse so many people. I guess they justify it by the beautiful results. Yours looks amazing!
You did a great job on that Dimentions!! The Dimentions patterns are awful to follow! They definitely could refine them! I have been stitching Dimentions for 30 years and I know what a challenge reading the patterns can be! you couldn't have done a better job Katie getting through the pattern!! It's beautiful work you have done❤
Hey Katie. Lovely video with great projects. I always want to get a dimensions pattern after watching your videos😊 you mentioned you found a saga file for your kit. How and where did you find it? How would I go about getting one for my future dimensions kit. Love the app, figured out a way to convert pdf patterns for saga but not yet paper patterns (other than redrawing it digitally)
So in order to do paper patterns to saga you need to scan your pattern and put it as a background to any pattern making aps and just trace it and save it to xsd. I also have couple people that I know that will do it for you :)
Hi Katie, I just found your FlossTube channel. Your stitching is stunning! I am curious about your accent. Do you live in America or overseas? The Garden Door is beautiful! I have stitched on and off for 40 years. I have never done a Dimensions Kit because of the chart and having to separate the floss in the older kits. I now have 2 Dimensions kits, because of you. LOL Is your cat, a Maine Coon?? He looks just like the one I had for 16 years. I still miss him so much even though it’s been many years ago. Enjoy your videos.
I’m originally from Russian, but I moved to USA 9 years ago ☺️ I’m working on my accent, but I think it will stay with me forever 😀 I hope you will enjoy your dimensions kits! It takes time and concentration, but results are sooo beautiful 😻 So road worker found him and his brother in the middle of nowhere and brought to the hotel where I work and we took him :) I don’t know what he is, but I do think he has Maine coon blood in him! Because he is way bigger than my other cats :)
Beautiful finishes. I love the rooster. (You have the right to say what you like or dislike about a chart). You finished already a lot of projects. So I don't see you as a beginner. I think you meet a cross stitch police, sorry to hear. Happy stitching
Thank you! After seeing your comment I reached out to my Spanish tutor she confirmed it and I changed it! Next week I’ll post my stitchy updates very excited to show how it looks like ✨😊

Really love your channel Katie ❤ I think the stitch you used for the arch in garden door is called “couching”; congrats on that finish! 🎉
Thank you so much ✨🥰
Love the Rooster. I actually love all your stitches and your finishes! Stitch what calls to you 😎
Thank you!☺️

I can't wait for your Saga video! I almost bought it last week from your recommendation, but decided to hold off for whatever reason.

FANTASTIC finishes, Katie! That rooster is so cute and the beading is amazing! Can’t wait to see the companion chicken stitched when you get to it :)

I really wish Dimensions will change their charts to only one colour. The 3 colours confuse so many people. I guess they justify it by the beautiful results. Yours looks amazing!
Yes, same!! I feel like they need to adjust charts, I love the results but it’s very uncomfortable to stitch 🙈

Congratulations on your progress and finishes! A small correction: in Spanish it should be "vino tinto" instead of "rojo".

No, but you don’t need it to be in English it’s very easy :) if you follow me on instagram - redsstitchery on my page in highlight “where to find” I have a link to it :)
That Dimensions pattern is busy. Probably would have been better with symbols instead of letters. I’m not a beginner and I think that.
Yes, thank you!!!
Can you link your iPad case? Pretty please. 😊
