Welcome to Improved Health Chair Workouts! This channel has been created for anyone who needs to work out from a seated position, or for those who want to become stronger by holding onto a chair during part of a workout. You will find both options here with Jules from 'Improved Health'.
Since we are all of different abilities, you'll find a variety of levels from gentle seated workouts (level 1), to beginner (level 2) and intermediate (level 3). Once you find which level suits you best, you can find similar workouts in the playlists and on www.improvedhealthforseniors.com.
You can also find a variety of seated and standing workouts on the original channel, 'Improved Health' on RUclips. I have decided to start this second channel dedicated to seated workouts, but I'm unable to move the seated workouts over to this new channel.

My thighs, glutes and abs are feeling that workout from this morning.
I usually do the standing videos but have just developed some back issues to go with my knee problems!!! So have been doing these seated workouts and they are great. Would love to see more cardio seated videos and wonder if there is a way to gage this for a "step" count. Thanks for these videos. They really do get my heart rate up.
Hi Christine, I'm sorry to hear about your back issues, but I'm glad these seated ones are working for you. I am starting to put the step count down in the description under the video rather than in the video itself (I don't think I did for this one). But, I did for the newest Christmas one. I'll get some new seated cardio workouts up for you soon.
How many times a week do we do this. Please anyone answer
You can do this one every day if you wish. If you feel soreness in your abs the next day, you can take a day off from this one and other cardio or strength workouts instead.

At last I found workouts that I can do. I have to lose weight for a left hip (bone on bone) replacement. I can do all the exercises accept the leg extensions to the side. I substitute heel toe raises for those. Best wishes.

I love these short strength training routines. They always make me feel so strong. One question: If one arm is weaker than the other (caused by arthritis interfering), should you go down to a lower weight for both arms? That is what I did but I get annoyed at my right arm for holding me back!
Normally when one arm is weaker than the other, the goal is to work the weaker arm more so it becomes equal with the stronger arm. But, in this case if the weaker one can't lift more, I would suggest staying with the same weight for both. This would also be a good question for your PT to see what they recommend.
