Im new to tgc, but as a base genshin player. To be honest finding it fun, but seeing the context of views and matchmaking I feel like genious invocation should be it's own separate game. And be specially on mobile, where I feel it plays really well.

It's not easy with those enemies overwhelming you, but you came up with a pretty solid strategy and it worked. I find it very funny tho you always went the long way around to get there which stressed you out a couple times lol, at least that got you a good bit of geo

20:10 it is possible you got a weird bug that takes away your ability to use spells. I have had that before and no idea what causes it. But since you were able to use them again shortly after idk, maybe it was just your input not registering...

Flukemarm as a bossfight is interesting because it's the textbook definiton of a battle of attrition. Until you kill it, it will endlessly spawn waves of semi-homing enemies at you that will divert your attention away from dealing damage to the boss itself, which especially punishes players who like to passively heal. I won't lie, you solved that issue in a pretty interesting manner by using quick focus to tip the scale of attrition in your favor, which is actually the first time I've seen that. Most other players just walk into the boss room with a full soul meter and start spamming the howling wraiths (4 casts instantly chunks roughly 70% of it's health).

Ah yes, Flukemarm. Everyone's favourite boss... it's kinda hard to deal with when you don't one-shot those flukes she spits out so you might want to give it a couple tries but not overdo it if you get stuck. Other bosses are enjoyable to get humbled by / watch you getting humbled by, but 30 minutes of Flukemarm wouldn't make for the best episode lmao Also about the charms you use: Sure, there might be a meta and a certain fighting style that is better and faster than others, but just slapping on the "best charms" won't enable you to fight in said efficient way where they are useful. So while yes, Quickslash and Shaman Stone are two of the three charms that could carry the title of "best charm in the game" and "overpowered", it doesn't mean you would get certain use out of it. So just keep using whatever you want, the playthrough is also more unique that way :) Also also: You didn't get any info out of Elderbug, that's because he has a lot of things to say about the world and things that change, you just didn't exhaust his dialogue yet, so he should still have a hint for you if you keep talking to him. Although I am not sure if you would recognise it as hint. However the game gave you a more or less subtle hint in another place this episode and you even called it out, you just didn't make the connection. You'll find it eventually 👍

39:40 imma ruin your immersion rq: it doesn't matter where you stand in the elevator for whether you go up or down. There is only the one lever in the middle. Also you can switch direction midway by hitting it again

Oh, quick slash. Didn't think you'd find that one so quickly. In the previous comment I mentioned how Shaman Stone was in my opinion the second best charm in the game. Well, this one's the best. Absurdly strong charm, there isn't a single endgame build that doesn't use it.

Finally kind of caught up with this series, and I just want to mention that Shaman Stone is, at least in my opinion, the second most overpowered charm in the game, and for a lot of people later in the game, especially speedrunners, it's by far the best. Maybe it won't suit you since you rarely cast spells, but the amount of damage they deal when used correctly is absurd, and in fact for speedruns it's the only charm ever equipped in the whole run for any% no major glitches. A lot of newer players don't like to use spells because they'd rather save the soul for healing, but then get punished for it immediately after and just lose the health they just regenerated. In reality, if they tried to deal and build more damage instead of trying to heal health they're just gonna lose immediately there's a higher likelihood they would have killed the boss before it dealt fatal damage to them. Imo in this game, the best defence is a great offence, and there's no charm that encapsulates that like Shaman Stone, I highly recommend it.

But before you look up anything and end up spoiling yourself... literally just go to the left and drop down. You went there before (at 47:56) and then decided to turn around (at 48:12) for some reason...

Demn too bad man. They make more complicated mechanic, but destroying the balance altogether with it. At this point, they should've made major adjustment to all pre-Fontaine cards (esp character cards) to keep up with todays character output and synergy. But maybe theyre too lazy to do that 😂. I also almost quit TCG, like today I only play weekly PvE for the coins and play PvP only when they have draft mode Heated Battle. Pre-Fontaine TCG is still the only good era of GITCG.
