Nice video for sure. It was rather an inside " Antique Riad show" than a flea market with these prices. Several years ago I went to a coindealer whom I visited often. He had to apraise an large English Coin Collection. He asked me if I was looking for any particular English coins, I said I'm looking for a nice Cartwheel, an great Maundy set, and a few more. A week later I came again and he showed me the coins I had asked him to look for. It was a really nice selection in an astonishing quality. He asked me what I would like to pay for it. I set there is a big difference between what the coins are worth and what I would like to pay for them. I said I would like to pay € 100 for it. He said , it's yours. It was unreal. He told me he bought the collection this morning for € 12000 and sold it in the afternoon for € 17000. He made such a great profit that he wanted me to gave these coins for only € 100.

I average price at £8 for silver content British coins, thats an overall price of £40 for 5 coins of different sizes.

I was hoping for some 92% or even 50% silver predecimals, i have less than 40 really nice examples from young Victoria's to George V1 and was very interested if you could source some similar.

Hi CC. That £3.50 tub was far too expensive... there were several Tale of Peter Rabbit and at least 1 Benjamin Bunny... both very common and face value at best. Congrats on nearing the 100 videos, and well done on this one - nearly 3k views at the time of writing!!! I'm lucky to get 100. Cheers.

Wish we had a market like that near where I live. I would be like a kid in a sweet shop! Those silver threepences looked a good deal at £1.50 each. Some of the prices for the common coins were a bit over the top though.

Awesome flea market our markets here in Canada everything except jewelry and coins are just placed on tables out in the open and even the cabinets are just 5 to 6 inches high and 24 by 36 square with a glass window to see through sellers pay so much per table most of the time they are 8 by 4 folding tables its on a first come first serve basis so if you are a regular you may have a different spot each time you want to sell stuff

Metal detecting also is great exercise lots of steps on the fit bit your state quarter collection is better than mine and I live in Canada however I only collect them from pocket change but I usually fill 2 or 3 spots per year slow going

good idea takeing up , metal dectecting , liveing next door to a beach , loose change , lost jewelry ,rings , etc , the quirtery with dectors makes a different , the better ones stop you digging up ring pulls and tin foil , got one about 2000 with my brother mine was 100 hes was about 150, hes worked out what he was finding a lot better , but if you want to get a cheap one for now maybe a better one later , found hardy northing small change but on a beach i think you will get better luck , try find a shop that sells them to get tips and check out u tube vids for pointers , p s loved that show p s this was surpose to be on your latest vid , sorry

I live on the West Coast of the USA, almost all of the Quarters I see in my change are Denver mint, with almost none of the Philadelphia mint coins. Also, the same coins come up again and again, so I still have gaps, despite billions of them being minted.

Detectorists is a wonderful TV show. I enjoyed every episode. Did you see the special 1 hour 14 minute episode that came out in December of 2022? If you do decide to do metal detecting I look forward to seeing your finds.

Your lucky you can metal detect in UK In Ireland it's illegal and actually quite a serious offence if you are caught 90 days in the pokey .. Good luck with your endeavours

Metal detecting always looks interesting, but I would advise doing much research before buying. It seems like a good idea starting with a cheap one until you start to use them they can be really frustrating they work sort of but don't search very deep.
