I've done that a few times to try and find some of the more recent dates, (without success so far I may add! 😁). Also you need to keep your eyes open for the 2008 5p shield design, as there is a known rotation on some of them.
I don't believe those King C3 definitives are actually in circulation, I think they've put them in their long store. Except for the 50p Salmon and the one pound coin.
royal mint and change checker have confirmed all but two coins have entered circulation- it might be years before we get some but they are somewhere 🕵🏼♀️
@@TheCoinChaser They kept that quiet if they have actually released them into the wild. They often say "we have minted them ready for circulation", but don't actually release them. The Royal Mint... classic at mixed messages 🤣🤣
With the modern stuff I am always upgrading so i check my change everyday

Didn't they switch the size on several of the denominations?
They made the 5p, 10p and 50p smaller over 25 years ago. All others are the same size.
@@LesCoins-uk Thanks I'm in the US and more of a pre-decimal guy. Are the larger decimal coins completely out of circulation?
yeah they are - the smaller size came in around 1990:1992
@@TheCoinChaser Thanks
How many coins do you get in each bag.
pennies are 100, 2ps are 50, 5ps are 100 i think then 10p are 50 (if my maths are serving me well) - some coins got smaller and lighter
Thank you
