I usually go with normal to begin with to get the story and mechanics of a game and after that I do hardest diff, sometimes this is even required to get access to hardest diff!

I used to always just play on the normal difficulty, and i would always say "ill do another playthrough on a harder difficulty" But I very rarely actually play a game more than once, so one day I just decided to start games on the hardest difficulty from the start from there on out.

I need the challenge, aversion and high stakes to give a fuck about what Im playing. My only gripe with this is when the game isnt deep enough to warrant playing higher difficulties. If I go from Normal to Hard mode, sure, I expect enemies that are sturdier and hit harder, but if the core gameplay loop doesnt change from normal and Im not forced to try new tech to progress, its bad design

Had a similar experience as a kid, except I used cheat codes to beat games (the likes of Quake, Warcraft, Serious Sam etc), since I was shit at games, but reaching the ending just felt very underwhelming. I later realized why - because it wasn't challenging and I didn't feel like I accomplished something, so first I stopped using cheats, then started increasing difficulties and it kept going.

I swear im getting ptsd from the worlds first run 1:58:47 i cant imagine how you mustve felt bahahaha So i skipped ahead 10minutes. Looked at the health. Clicked the boss fight restart then skipped a head 15 minutes and i swear the health was virtually the same. So you fought for no reason for 5 straight minutes risking countless death. I feel so bad for you and the amount of regen bosses you get lmaoo and this is only my second video ive watched. I swear the devs have you soft locked for regen to appear on X number of bosses every time 😂 only time will tell if my theory is true as i work my way thru your play throughs bahaha

Out of all the bullshit Kratos and Co do in this game, killing Niddhog is probably the worst thing they do. She's pretty much essential to pruning Yggdrasil's roots and preventing it's unchecked growth.

9 months late, but seems the grey health damage ring only kicks in when you are at max health. At least, one of the rings are not active when below 100% health.
