can this be done with a prc 148
@@zackdrew3559 If it has airband Rx mode, yup!
@ hmm not sure it’s a tri prc 148
The nv mode nice
25 to 50k. Low to high end for anything worth using in battle ... Check out google, the GSCI SWAT-G ONYX ELITE PLUS run 53k.
Dude what you need to do is to get a laser designator, some better nods and get us footage of shooting that thing in the dark
Hello HYPE Militaria do you have any advice on where to get a PVS-14 schematic with measurements, you would be of great great help in my 3D printed Night vision endeavor
Whats the cost on something like this ?
Website or away to look theses up online!?
Here ya go: adnvsys.en.alibaba.com/
I’m really excited for your thermal fusion review
I've wrapped up the final testing and filming and will get to editing everything together soon. Hopefully will be able to post it before the end of September
Thanks for the vid man. Got a free NVM-14 housing but had no idea what the light pipe was for, lol.
Glad I could help ayy
I was just wondering about this
When video?
@@cxsey8587 Within this month. Currently wrapping up all the filming and tests.
Is there any plans to make a device with the 1.7 inch sensor?
@@cxsey8587 Not as of now. That sensor is APS-C sized and will require pretty hefty lenses to fill the image circle.
@@hypemilitaria6447gotcha!!
If they can get these down to 1.5k, they have a total winner
@@cxsey8587 Definitely! Albeit I think their current Alibaba price of 2.1k isn't too bad either, especially considering its performance, durability and longevity
Just wondering - isn't it illegal to bring an Omni VIII tubes outside the US and especially to China? I'm not sure what country you're from so this may not apply to you. Nonetheless great video! It's incredible how far digital NV has come along.
Many thanks! And yeah, the tube was already well outside the US when I got it (it was from a seller inside China too haha).
so much movement
The yawing motion post-launch? That's part of the manual of arms of many disciplines of Eastern archery. This moves the bow out of the way of the arrow as it accelerates and separates from the bow, reducing the perturbations to the arrow's flight due to misalignment between the bow's thrust axis and the arrow's shaft axis.
I was hoping you do the dial measurements. Well anyway, can you tell your wrist size? I've a small wrist, so not sure if it would fit me!
I do have a rather large wrist. However, my GF has a small wrist but she can also wear Amfibias just fine, so it should be good for basically everyone
Also gotta think, the noise from this thing is probably super detectable. Flip this thing on and it’s basically a radio beacon for whoever
Noise as in acoustic noise? This thing is quieter than autogating tubes. And if we're talking about EM noise, it uses fairly low power semiconductors and doesn't have any EM emitting function. The likelihood of detecting the EMF signature of any device powered by a small 16340 battery from any meaningful distance is basically nil.
@ yeah I worry about emf, with these surpassing goggles that are currently itar bound and also the current state of things I wouldn’t be surprised to find some suspicious things while looking at the pcb board. Have you actually looked for yourself that it cannot transmit and receive signal? I think you would be surprised what you see soldered into some of these boards nowadays. Yknow they lied about putting serial numbers on everything we print for a good while, wouldn’t be surprised at all to see a gps emitter on that board. I just don’t feel comfortable not knowing whether or not this thing is gonna turn into a fed beacon when they snap their fingers and three grand$ is way too much for me to void the warranty opening it myself
@@Najsnwjsbdn I have actually seen the innards of the G14P2, a board with a CMOS sensor and ASIC, a board with a OLED screen and display driver as well as a flex cable connecting the two, no RF hardware at all. There simply isn't enough space or spare power budget to pull this kind of thing in the G14P2.
@ that’s cool but our lives are on the line and ‘they wouldn’t do that because there’s no space and 15$ more worth of parts just is too much of a deterrent’ is just not true man. You all said the same things about Jerry nvg and then when they got caught they made gps integration a “feature” and you all ate it up. Until you do a video tear down and full pcb inspection no one serious is going to buy this and it’s a shame because from what I can tell it’s a big improvement over phosphor tubes. Even people like law enforcement wouldn’t trust thing, especially when it voids your warranty to even look. Deer hunters shop thermal optics not nvg, professionals won’t use it because there’s zero security factor and cops won’t use it for the same reason and also budget, who is thing even for? Airsoft players? Idk man, I know I’m not the only one raising concerns about it and I know if it was signal safe it would in service because it’s inarguably better than phosphor tubes and cheaper and tougher. In my mind the only two things stoping this from use is either battery or security issues and the battery life ain’t that bad so
How much is it
Seen them for ~2k GBP in the UK and ~3k USD in the US
Thanks for sharing!
@@Guide_outdoor You're welcome! I'm really enjoying using this device.
Oooooh this is really nice.
Chinas NVGs and Thermals are killing it, now if only Alibaba was not an absolute pain in the ass to use...
True. If only everyone were on AliExpress haha
This is the first thermal optic I've ever heard of that has a variable optical zoom. And just my lifetime China has gone from being barely able to assemble a microwave to being a world leader in some tech. Absolutely incredible!
Chinas been trying so so hard, and I guess it eventually pays off
I agree. I'm definitely looking forward to a future of more capable and affordable choices for our hobby!
GD that music sucks balls
Nice, but at the price or the unit, an average person can't afford it. Say the pricing up front. That way it's less disappointing. Good video though. Thanks.
Good suggestion! I'll try to include prices next time if there isn't a huge price discrepancy between regions.
When will Infiray release their Discovery DR200, the combo of color night vision and thermal? I hope they use VCSEL IR on that unit.
The DR200 is already on iray's taobao stores in China. Western retailers should start carrying it soon too.
@@hypemilitaria6447 Why Taobao and not AliExpress? I don't think Infiray sites have any info on DR200 yet. I was hoping to find the spec of DR200 but no joy.

English setting?
@@GR3YHOODCrypto Unfortunately, no English setting with this one.
Dude how do you even get all this stuff
The "Nuke Map" style dose simulator is really cool.
Where do you find information on your NVDs? I have a T3C-2 NVD, like the one you showed, but can't find any info on it. How did you figure out what tube it had?
The 5MP MWIR is amazing !
Idgaf about the future unless its a future where Alibaba has $500 digital NODs with 1" EBAP sensors...
Man that'd be an absolute dream. But be careful what you wish for since EBAPS suffers from the same durability and longevity issues as IITs. It's a reason why ADNV went all-in with ultra-high sensitivity CMOS, unlike NNVT who are going the EBAPS route.
The ZV-E1's sensor is just wild. It's basically night vision with a decent lens, and I'm impressed! Maybe it's what I'll upgrade to soon! Thanks for this extreme low light test. It's exactly what I needed.
I agree. It actually beats out actual military night vision from the cold war. Absolutely crazy.
Fine. I'll buy one.
Enjoy!
I wonder how a F1.0 with Starvis2 sensor would perform in comparison. Something like a colourvu camera?
A starvis sensor behind a good fast lens should offer similar results, but remember starvis sensors are much smaller than full frame sensors and hence gather less signal overall.
Looks like they took a Radiascan 701A and then made it really simple.
Yup! All someone needs to do is turn it on, the device does the rest haha
Im pretty sure it was the other way round 😅 From what I’m reading on some forums, it seams that there was a law in Russia that required banks to have meters to check cash for radioactivity. These unit were made to fill the demand as they were one of the few which met the criteria for being approved. Today there many of these unit being sold on the used market in Russia and can be found for really low prices but due to the current political situation, it is very hard to import anything from Russia plus I don’t know what about you, I don’t feel like paying even a single penny in taxes to support Russian economy. If you find them outside of Russia, they are definitely worth it! I just received mine and I’m really impressed and I’ll definitely be making a video about it 😃
@@allRadioactive Very interesting, thanks.
What's the price?
Around 100USD on avito: www.avito.ru/all?q=%D0%BC%D0%BA%D1%81-01
Awesome. I have a NVG30 but this will definitely be the next device I'll buy.
Awesome! Hope you enjoy it!
Let me guess, sourced from Valgear?
Mine's brand new straight from Russia, not a trophy
For this retest, the Voron-3 is now fitted with a much brighter lens (Pentax 50mm f/1.4) to give the old tube a fighting chance against modern NV. Didn't help a lot in extreme low light though.
Some really cool tech here.
Yup! Future of night vision tech is bright! Time to save up for more NV purchases in the future haha
Not much difference now between Russian and Chinese tubes, and seeing as China is going digital they will inevitably get a lot better.
Yeah, a reason I did not compare this to the ADNV-G14P2 is that it won't even be a fair comparison haha, the ADNV completely thrashes the 1PN. Well, to be fair to the NVT7 and Omni VIII, they're also a step above the 1PN as well at least in terms of gain.
Are you serious? Open your eyes. Going after your logic you said: Not much difference between Omni 8 and Russian tubes
@@aesthetic8780 Reading comprehension, Chinese and Russian not US...
@@Weaponsandstuff93 Thinking comprehension brother... This is not what I meant with my comment. US Gen3 and well made NVT-7 is closer together than NVT-7 and Russian tube.
How would Someone from USA order?
@@cptwhistlebritches6253 You can purchase it through ADNV's Alibaba: adnvsys.m.en.alibaba.com/
what do EBAPs do?
Think of them as a digital CMOS sensor but with GaAs used in Gen 3 photocathodes as the photosensitive material
@@hypemilitaria6447 please do a video on ebaps, for us noobs
I think this is satire. This same video was used to compare the difference in the new digital NV bin comparison to analog. And someone using it for this
@@brandonfrancis4218 No digital devices tested here though. Also, I'm now using a new camera (DJI Pocket 3) to film through the eyepieces of NODs instead of a phone, hence the jump in the video brightness and clarity. Will be doing the same with future tests with digital NV too.
Very nice comparison, I haven't seen much about modern Russian night vision.
