@@hypemilitaria6447 Just bought one (identical but unbranded) for £48 which looks great value BUT is it really waterproof? I ask because there's no continuous rubber gasket all the way round. I'd say it might safely withstand a little light rain but that's it. Out of the box it has very poor beta sensitivity...however the easily removable & replaceable orange silicone rubber on the right changes that. Unusual GM HH442 glass GM too, which is pretty sensitive, perhaps slightly better than the more common M4011, which is found in the more expensive & gimmicky GQ GMC 300/500 series plus most of the other PRC origin units. Love the included case too & the fast (for a budget consumer device) response time of the unit, both in terms of rise & fall to background. The ONLY thing I'd didn't like was receiving it with a FLAT lithium ion battery, which will probably mean a limited capacity & lifespan. A big no no to allow these batteries to run flat...perhaps that's WHY it was so cheap? No packaging box either...just in the case within the usual Amazon box. Glad I added it to my collection though as they now appear to have sold out here in the UK...
stuck with this in case of nuclear emergency. i doubt it'll last long but i couldn't afford anything else. if you do shutdown on this thing is there a way to turn it back on? since i wouldn't want to risk losing the battery as i don't fully trust the reliability of this counter.
Do you know how to set it up by detecting the The gamma radiation can you do a video I order the same one and I’m not should on setup for the alarm 😢 thanks
i used him 4months and now suddenly he starts to increase totale dose automaticly without cause; i puted him off.. while restarting he ask to boot does anyone know how to reboot him.? cause the problems is still there after on/off
I have big problem with battery in this device. Battery is fully charged. I turn it off. Then after several days or weeks, I turn it on, and the battery is depleted. That is very bad. It seems that battery is discharging even when device is off and should consume only very little current.
Interesting. Mine doesn't seem to have this issue. I've had it sitting without use for weeks now and it's still showing a decent amount of charge. Could be a short or a lemon?
Honestly 4 days is not really amazing - this type of devices, with the display turned off, should work years on batteries.. I like the fact the device is waterproof but 4 days from a battery change keeps me off...
@@cheri758 I wouldn't buy a device that works less than a month on single charge/set of batteries. IMHO the purpose of possessing such a device is for emergency situations. And 4 days is nothing - you're just not be able to find a charger to charge it. As for stationary or professionally use - the class of device is just not suitable. People buy other types of devices (10 times more expensive) for these purposes. IMHO. I have a DIY (2 tubes) Geiger counter and it can work > 2 years on a single charge (1800mah) and can work on any type of battery as well if needed. Unfortunately it's not waterproof.
@@VilenPro also this geiger counter he showed is very affordable unit, so if you want some cheap geoger counter/dosimeter this is pretty cool device, tho i wouldn't trust it 100%, if i had the money id buy gamma scout the usb one with alarm, raysid mini spectrometer and some other cool meters
Visually it looks way better than the older models
Agreed. It looks professionally made compared to a lot of the kit units out there. The completely sealed waterproof housing is a nice plus too.

Nanjing Nuclear Safety Sensor Co., Ltd. They have specifications and descriptions on their website.
this is what they produce HH442
Awesome device thanks 🙏🏻
Awesome!

I do have a Geiger counter that can really be waterproof, GM01/GM02, both of which can reach P68 waterproof

Hi! Did a section on configuring the alarm at 09:05 Hope this helps!
@@hypemilitaria6447 thanks 😊 super helpful sir
What is the maximum dose it can detect?
Specs I have found list it as 0.05uSv-50mSv but I don't believe them. as that seems kind of on the high end compared to most.
@@albinonoodle5229 yes its quite difficult to have that high range, maybe it’s safe up to 1msV like the fs2011

4 months late but, there is a thing called something like calibration factor in the settings, changing that value changes the sensitivity I think
How do I turn it off
There should be a shutdown option in the menu.

This is rechargable unit, once the battery is dead, you plug it in to ojone charger, charge for an hour or so and its charged

@@VilenPro well you can buy gamma scout, they last ~10-12 years on single battery, yet to replace it you need to semd it back.
