Hello..it takes 10min for me to read full explanation of 1 question. Therefore can't even finish 40 question review/day. Would u give any strategy to read each review within 5 mins?
@jayeshwatane9688 hi Jayesh! Yes, I got what you mean. First of all, its not wrong at all to spend 10 min per qs. You just have to do less than 40, maybe 20 qs per day, or even less!(depends on how much time you dedicated to study each day). My philosophy is, its better to review it thoroughly rather than review it superficially. You wont improve with just a superficial review. Of course its possible to spend the whole 10 min and achieving nothing. I already explained in the video what are the things that you need to review and how to review them. However, to answer your qs, I do feel using chatgpt4 will speed up your review because you spend time the most to understand the concept. Also, just believe that you will eventually spend less and less time to review as you go through more qs (that is, if you review it thoroughly the first time), because the qs and explanations are repeated.

Yes! You are eligible as long as you are from medical school listed by wdoms, and to be safe, should also be accredited by wfme. Watch this video for all the steps from start to finish how to match in US residency ruclips.net/video/H9sdgWyKbLk/видео.htmlsi=3qva0R64d3e_dqpk

I feel overwhelmed with the concept of microbiology since I never had a biology background
I am doing anatomy and physiology and microbiology courses and I am struggling to put down notes since I had a different style of studying in my previous major (Mathematics BS).
Thank you for the questions! Are you referring to studying the courses in medical school or for usmle purposes? If you really want to fully strengthen your fundamental concepts of the subjects, my recommendation is to watch Dr Najeeb lectures. None of the video lectures come even close to how Dr Najeeb explains it. You just cannot not understand. The downside is Dr Najeeb lectures are very long so it woull be inefficient if you are preparing for usmle.

Great video. How we use Uworld? 1. System or random ,tutor or timed mode?2. Do we take note from Uworld and write it in first aid as it is very time consuming or just red explanation and move on without taking any note in first aid .3. If we don’t take any Uworld note how we revise those huge question bank ,as we forgot those information after couple of days ?reading explanation is ok for me but taking note from Uworld in very time consuming, and I struggle with this.if possible you can make a video about those topics.
Thank you and great questions! 1. The concept here is you want to always build the knowledge based first then go for time mode. If you only use uworld as the study material (like most people in step 2 ck), then system, tutor mode first. Try to get to time mode as early as possible. The latest would be once you done with half of the qbank. Why half? Its simple, uworld qs are repeated. So if you have done half of them, almost guaranteed you have seen almost all of them. Your knowledge should be all set, and you should go for time mode. 2. This is problem of retention/retaining information. This is the topic of my next video, planning to release it next week. But basically, you dont waste any time when you write those explanation to put it in your note, that is actually the learning part which you have to do. I use anki, I put all my note in anki and review it in active and space repetition manner. Again, it doesnt matter, u can use notion, google spreadsheet, but there has to be active recall and space repetition, because its evidence based, u will do much better with this. Hope that answer your question!
Thank you .1.Do we do Uworld system wise or random mode for step1 as an img? 2.For USMLE step 1 to build knowledge base first do we read step 1 Uworld note/ tables & images/educational objectives first which was found on some external source then do Uworld.?3. what is your thought of doing off line Uworld & some youtube channel’s Uworld question solving video first to build knowledge and then do online Uworld for step 1?4. A how much time we give to solve a Uworld question or a block of 40 question to solve question and read the explanation ? 5.. Some suggestion for your video topic - “how much information Anki we use for USMLE step 1/ how we use Anki for Uworld ? , How we take note from Uworld on USMLE step 1/ how much information we put in our note for Uworld for USMLE ?; How we use Uworld on USMLE step 1?; In which format we take note time efficiently from Uworld?”
@@javedimran568 thank you for the questions and suggestions! 1. if you already have build all of your knowledge (you go through all the materials of step 1) then you should do random. if you use uworld only as the source (without Boards and beyond or other fundamental videos for step 1)then system wise (only half of them) then random mode. note that this technique is consistent throughout most advisors and tutors including me, they just use a little bit different study resource, but the principles are the same (build knowledge, then do questions). 2. interesting actually, are you able to make those external uworld information in system-wise without giving away the questions? if yes, based on the principles that I have, its potentially doable. structure is important, human brain easier to follow when there is structure, your ability to recall is also faster. however, I assume its hard to do the external source and read educational objective without somewhat giving away the answer, you lose a chance to test yourself while doing uworld. again, uworld is learning tool (as most advisors said), but at the same time, it is an assessment tool and you should master the test taking skills (you need to show improvement in your score at the last couple blocks) 3. this answer same as above, can you build a structure on it? videos are very structured, if you go biochem for example, you start with dna-rna-protein, how they are made, then collagen synthesis, etc. so its easy to follow. unstructured learning can confuse people especially for step 1 as you are building fundamental. there is a reason they make a course and why a course is pricey -> the structure and roadmap, there are steps to follow and make it easy for people. 4. 40 qs is 1 block, but the review may take 3-4 hours if you use my technique (see my video on how I review usmle qbank) ruclips.net/video/JdrhO45ooXI/видео.html 5. great suggestions! actually, I already made all of these video, they just need to be edited and released. i actually show how i set my anki (the optimize settings to study), how I put info to anki as we go through the uworld information. 6. which format we take note time efficiently from uworld: my personal preference is digital in anki. but there are some fundamental principles you need to understand, i plan to explain it in the next video: how to retain concepts in usmle efficiently
@@YuliusHaryadi7189 Thank you
@javedimran568 hi Just to let you know that the next video " how to retain usmle concepts effectively" will be delayed for 1 week. I will post different video instead, which would be how I go over uworld explanation with a sample question!
Do you mean review to read the explanation of questions?Do we need to take note from Uworld and annotate to first aid as it is very time consuming or simply just read explanation and move on.
Hi! Thank you for the qs. As I mentioned in the video, you read the explanation and you need to understand every single sentence. That is the key. You have to create a note where you can easily review in the future, and that for me would be anki. Do not just read and move on, you have to do something with that information. This is actually the topic of my next video, next week! The title would be " how to retain concepts in usmle effectively". I am going to go over very very fundamental principles of learning, which I found a lot of student (usually IMG) has forgotten because a lot of IMG has become doctors/ post grad, and they somehow forgot how to learn/study.

I really like this video, its very useful and to the point (I use a similar method but in Notion instead). A quick question: How many Anki cards do you do in a day? Do you try to finish all your reviews due each day? Comparing this to the Anking deck, recalling info from each card would take considerably longer, ofc fewer cards, but learning more from each card will also require more repetitions per card). I'm considering using anki, I have used it in the past, I like the spaced repetition, but many times I found myself only able to get through the reviews and not to new information/cards. How do you manage that with this method?
Thank you and great questions! 1. I do about 100 cards each day, if you manage to keep the number of cards low, and consistently doing it everyday, that pretty much about the number of cards per day. If you are behind, it can be accumulated and turns to be overwhelming. When that happens, review new cards and slowly add the old cards to make it manageable. 2. Yes, I finished all of it everyday, again, as long as you do it consistently, its very doable 3. True, it is considerably longer, but it is more effective and not necessarily longer. I will address this in the video next week. But i will give you a little spoiler: space repetition has a weakness, and that weakness is, its only as good as how you input the information in your brain from the first place. If you put the information effectively, even one card that seems long, will require less time to do. Again, I will address this in my video next week! 4. I answered this in point no 1 , you review the new cards first, and add the old cards slowly to make it manageable (again, its better to not get behind by doing it everyday). I hope that answer all your questions!
@@YuliusHaryadi7189 Yes that helps! Thank you for the elaboration, I really appreciate it! Looking forward to the next video!
Thank you so much!!
You're welcome! Let me know if there is any other topics you want to see in the future
So you are accusing them cheating because they study, recall or practise more than you and your fancy peoples ? wow what a psychopaths they are.
can you give me an example on how you would limit the review to the “context” of the question? if possible, by using a sample question, and how you would approach the review. This would help me so much, thank you.
That is actually in my next video! (Well in fact I, already made one, just not being released yet). You can go my website and find my email, you can email me directly to ask for it and I will send you the video.

@@YuliusHaryadi7189I already did, thank you!
Hey Yulius, did you do flashcards for every question?
Thats a great question. Actually I did for step 2 ck since uworld is pretty much my only source. But at the end, there were some repetitions on the explanation, so I only added info on the old cards or create a new short card for the additional info.
