I just got my Mirena because my gynos spent so much time talking me into it? I can’t have estrogen and the depo and mini pills made everything worse (on bc for shit periods). I’ve been in severe pain since I got it, Tylenol and ibuprofen is not touching the pain I’m feeling. I thought my cramps couldn’t get worse than my period… I’m honestly extremely mad at the PA at my gynos office who told me I should get it that I don’t want them to take it out; I don’t trust them now. I wound up in the ER due to the pain and yet it’s “in correctly.” The moment it was in I started feeling extremely wrong. Like I haven’t gained weight but I’m cramping so Much that I’m extremely bloated and it hurts to move my hips at all in any serious way, which sucks because I am a gym girlie. It just feels like something shouldn’t be inside of me at all. As soon as they put it in I wanted it out but I was in SO much pain when they put it in I couldn’t tolerate a removal as well. I was shrieking in the office. I love that some people have amazing experiences with it, I think we need more permanent-long term bc options. However it’s really infuriating that a lot of Gynos kind of talk people into it, don’t offer pain relief, don’t believe pre-existing issues can be WORSENED by it etc. They rave that it’s some miracle device? For some people it is but not everyone will have that experience??? I work in reproductive healthcare and a lot of people have worse experiences with Liletta compared to Mirena as well. I see lots of people coming in for a second Mirena and getting a liletta and having the same experience as you. You are not alone!

Has anyone experienced this with the paraguard ? I feel like I look bloated I just got it in a week ago , I had mine in for 10 years and I feel like I didn’t have issues . However maybe I did . I had similar symptoms that you mentioned but I attributed more to my implants . My poor body 😢

I had weird vision issues seeing as dots of light, tinnitus, vertigo. Also, my hair is getting brittle! Getting mine out today actually

I’m sure the iud doesn’t always affect weight gain I’m in year 4 still same size if anything I believe it caused weight gain struggle for me

Hi.. omg.. thanks for this story/share.. I’m so very new to having an IUD.. but recently started noticing my bloating phases before and after a period.. I’m guessing it’s because I’m still new to this.. so I’m not sure how this IUD is hitting my body aside for the lesser flow on bleeding… but yeah.. thanks for this.. I’m still monitoring and checking is bad /hopefully it’s stays positive for me… aside from weight gaining and bloating ..lol 😅

I appreciate that you're literally the only one to post a curly hair tut of hot rollers but prev. commenters are right /: your hair is not considered kinky in the slightest, kinky is referred to type 4 hair :) no hate great video but as a curly girl try to be more conscious of terminology in the future <3

hey to all the people saying they gained weight after iud insertion did u manage to lose the weight after its removal? i have gained 12 kgs after getting mirena and I so want to take it out but im like what if I take it out but the weight still wouldnt drop?

What were you doing with the wash cloth? buffing?

I also had mirena back to back in my 30s. Then in February inserted the liletta. Over 2 months in and I am at 7 pounds gained. I was told it will take about 3 months for my body to adapt and I am counting the weeks. I am glad you shared your story. I at least know to draw the line if my body dies adapt like they say it should.

I’ve had Mirena for 4.5 years, since I had my son. I don’t think I’m going to get it replaced after it expires, just removed. I’ve been on Phenephrine and Saxenda, and I’m also a gastric sleeve paitent so I KNOW how to lose weight, I lost 150lbs before & gained 90lbs during pregnancy & it just seems impossible to drop after the IUD. nothing is working and I’ve stayed the same weight for 2 years. By the grace of God, I was able to lose 50lbs when my son was 2 after I got on the phenephrine & saxenda, but that plateaued a year ago and I’ve been struggling so hard with my body since. So I still need 40, minimum, because I never hit my goal weight from the start. Also losing the weight after my IUD was the hardest experience, harder than losing 150lbs before I had my son and had the IUD. Also, I’ve been to the Gyno so many times for different kinds of bacterial infections not yeast (yeast is fungus, not a bad thing but bacteria is just slightly different) and I’ve never had these bacterial infections before the IUD and nothing else would be contributing to having too much bacteria in my system. The bacteria is coming from the IUD

Definitely gained weight with mine. I’ve had a bloated gut and my boobs went up a couple sizes. I’m keeping it though because having no periods beats the weight gain. Having endometriosis, my periods were absolutely horrible.

So how do we know if we are taking too much off before it’s too late? Should we just do a little bit like every other week? And should we soak them get the dead skin off? I see that some use a tool on their dry feet first to help smooth it a little.

I had the same weight gain experience with the Marinia IUD and felt bloated all the time.

Same thing happens to me , The doctor did all the tests on me and I don't have any sexually transmitted diseases but I feel an itch and a small odorless liquid from there. They don’t says anything to worry about it, but I not happy and 5 pounds more 😔

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who has done this. I felt so horrified. I actually drew blood from going too far on one foot and the other I didn't realize I had gone too far until I went to step on it just now and went "Oh no". I used the same tool as the one you showed in the video, that callus shaver, and I'd never used one before. I hope my feet heal up quickly. Dreading being on my feet for work tomorrow 😢

Not only weight gain, depression, chin hairs, im ready to pull out my IUD myself lol. My obgyn said none of these issues are attributed to the IUD though which is not right

Test for gardinella when you take it out, because that’s what it causes to overgrow. Mine was positive, I had to take antibiotics. It will increase cancer risks

I feel you! I'm still on recovery, there is no green already, but the nail still have a weird shape that I hope desapear when that area is finally off from my finger. And definitely it was because of the bubbles and the water that got in there. I have omg so many years using acrilyc, deep powder, and all kinds of fake nails, but done at the salon, and this never happened. But I decided to do it by myself without researching how to avoid this kind of problems, now I know, I learned the hard way. Hopefully I can do it again, in the correct way this time, in around two weeks!! 🙏

I have had my Mirena IUD since April 2019 to treat my Endometriosis. It has definitely been effective in stopping my menstrual cycle and not getting pelvic pain, including bad cramps. However, I have gained quite a lot of weight. I look pregnant and am constantly bloated. I also get migraines. I will be getting the Mirena taken out due to these unwanted side effects and hope for the best.

Thanks for the video! I was curious if clippers would cut them like real nails but was scared to try because I was afraid it might break them. Happy to see I can just clip them since I like my nails super super short and filing them down takes foreverrrr lol

IUD is a crappy thing I don't know why they allow it ,its not good ,it makes me so itchy for 9 mins,thank god it's out and I'm free from that experience experience

I totally agree. It should be easier to buy from different artists. Different artists have helped me in different ways. The bubbles are normal for cream makeup and storage/travel/heat/cold. It's a bummer. I got the same quality and felt the same way, though even my bougie stuff from major brands have that. It's not okay, because those TEENSY pans are 20 bucks a pop. I spent abut $400 bucks! I also find the product grainy, and professional makeup like Dermacolor is very smooth. There's a huge learning curve, and I am still learning. I am not a consultant, and don't plan to be.

Was it Glamnetics by chance? I absolutely love these nails they are strong, and beautiful. .but they are rounded and don't sit flush to my nail, and yes, mine went green from them😢

Just got my Mirena implant out PLEASE get something different. It gave me so many side effects. Theres been a class action lawsuit AGAINST Mirena. It stopped accepting claims for the class action lawsuit in 2021. Same year I got on. Started making me bloated and look pregnant, started causing neuropathy problems - other people have spoken to this. I just had a mass in my reproductive system. I had NO problems prior to Mirena. ZERO health problems. Dont do it
