Deconstructed Baklava Fistikli-Pistachio Baklava
I tried my favorite Baklava when I visited the city of Istanbul in Turkey. I can still remember the sweet smell of butter and the delicious pistachio filling. Today I am presenting a deconstructed version of this delicacy using Pistachio Ice Cream.

Warning: at 2:02 the recipe says zest from 1 lemon but that was my mistake, you should use the skin from 1 lemon, as shown in the vid. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
Ingredients:
For your Pistachio Ice Cream:
300gr of finelly ground Pistachio (raw & unsalted)
600gr Cream 35%
600gr Milk 3.5%
250gr Brown Sugar
20gr Corn Starch
4 large Egg Yolks
1,5 tsp Vanilla Exctract
Pinch of Salt

That looks delicious!! 😋 My daughter discovered the no-churn ice cream recipe last year, and made it all through the summer. She experimented with different flavours and combinations, and they were all so good...that ice cream is so luscious and creamy!! Our favourite was her strawberry ice cream. She added a little pureed strawberry to the ice cream, then put in chunks of strawberries. It reminded me of the strawberry ice cream I ate as a kid...so much better than that gross pink "strawberry" ice cream, that I don't believe has any actual strawberries in it at all. She wanted to try pistachio, but never got around to it. Maybe showing her this recipe will inspire her to give it a try. 😃
Thank you so much for your kind words 🙏 You should be proud of your daughter (and therefore yourself of course), taking time to prepare and eat healthy food is one of the qualities that is missing from modern people. So many healthy ingredients in a real ice cream, yet people prefer to overpay for it and eat dangerous chemicals, it really baffles me 🤔.
