We loved our meal at Tiesto's when we were in Cuenca last month. It was our most fabulous meal in six weeks of eating out every day. I kept my eye out for you two as we wandered the city.

I just love your videos. I hope to visit Cuenca soon. I am vegetarian and it looks like I will have a lot of choices when it comes to eating. That was a lot of food…oh my goodness

El pan de yuca is better if you try it from Naturissimo, it is not supposed to be dry as the one you bought on the street, is very soft and cheesy. Also, if it is very dry is bc they're not fresh. Eat it with a yogurt, you will love it!

WOW!!!! I know what I am doing when I visit!!! Does this happen only one time a year? I would be trying absolutely everything! The foods you tried looked so delicious. The plantain and cheese, I bet that was a great combination. I am watching the video and my stomach is growling hahaha I would also be weak as heck and would be bringing home a couple of those goats for pets 🤣😂 What an absolute delight your day was! Your dinner, OMG!!!! That was food made for queens and kings! I am going to try that restaurant as well! Honestly the bill at the end, with the amount of foods you got, was a pretty decent price! I’ve lived in Cuenca for almost four years, seen lots of videos about apartments but this is way above average. For me the best value was the one in Misicata..Nice place and near the Tranvia. The house is nice but too isolated for me. Love the woman singing, who is she?

I could not live that far away from everything. Beautiful, but not for me. I am single so 3 or 4 bedrooms is too much for me. I would not choose any of those places. But I am interested in visiting. Great video

I love your video. I contemplated moving to Ecuador but my husband and I moved to Rwanda, in East Africa. After a yr here we have to decided to move closer to our children who are in the US. , so we are moving to the Caribbean. Hopefully we’ll make it to Ecuador visit someday.

I found your videos yesterday after researching moving abroad. Mexico was high on my list but after seeing Your Educador videos. Omgosh I have to come visit. I loved apartment 1,2 so much. The house is most definitely goals! I grew up in the mountains and I love it however, I am a beach bum and would love to live near there. New subscriber! Peace & Love 💕

At 5:28, what market is that? I would say Supermaxi is basically an upscale Walmart, if that makes any sense. They do carry a lot of items u can't find elsewhere, but their prices are higher than local mercados. My gf has lived, basically, in Cuenca for 9 years now, and she does most of her food shopping at local markets, She actually lives not far from Super Aki Narancay, an easy walk for her, so she finds a lot of what she needs there, cheap. For more, Coral Centro is two bus stops away, it does have a lot more things. Otherwise, when in centro, she hits 10 de Agosto, or any of many small vendors she knows there. Point is, yes, one can eat very frugally in Cuenca, if you are willing to search out these places!
