Hola , Moved to Cuenca 3 months ago . Had plenty of time to plan while waited to retire . It was very exciting time for me, But often didn't share my excitement because people just couldn't understand why . There's a whole world out here . Why not !
Welcome to Ecuador. Been here for almost 3 years now and it's been the best decision! We're much happier here than we were in the US. Unfortunately, not many people will understand your decision. The world is vast and there so many experiences to be had. Enjoy yourself :)
I constantly get asked that same question, why Ecuador? my answer is if you had ever visited Ecuador, you wouldn’t need to ask such a ridiculous question. Ecuador has captured my heart, the people, their kindness, it’s like I’ve been searching for this peace my entire life.

We've been in Ecuador since 2021. But we just recently started making the videos. Wow. 10 years, Cuenca must feel like home by now. Hope to run into you sometime. and yes, we're originally from Ghana ☺️

Hahahahaha now I wish I could make the kenkey for you. Unfortunately, I don't know how to make that. We brought the kenkey and shito from our last trip to Ghana. And yes we're originally from Ghana ☺️

It's hard to tell you the best place to visit, it all depends on what experiences you're looking for.
For coastal beach party vibes, you can check out Montañita.
For city vibes, You can check out Quito and Cuenca
For country vibes, you can check out Vilcabamba ( it's a popular destination among back packers)
These are my recommendations, based on the few places I've been within the country.
Your voice sounds a bit faint, you need to work on the volume of your mic or speaking a bit louder.
