hey! i’m from cedar falls-waterloo and i can confirm the addition of the theme park has been great for the area! it’s only 2-3 years old i think so it’s still really early but both the water and theme park are amazing! :)

I remember going when I was very young, when IoA opened, we were driving to the park and there was this really creepy billboard that kinda changed the closer you got, it was of the twins in The Shining. It’s very vivid, I always wonder what it was for.

The fact that a list of scariest rides starts with Casper…

It was the best ride to get on when you needed to get out of the stifling north Texas summer heat.

Wonderful ride and a great respite from summer heat and humidity. I got to work for Six Flags in park safety in the mid-80’s and got to see the guts of this ride. Once, a swarm of honey bees made a hive in one of the walls.

I've always been a huge fan of Universal Orlando Resort and especially a huge fan of Islands of Adventure. I remember seeing a photo from the early 2000s with me in front of the Spinosaurus statue at the Jurassic Park area. Watching this video definitely helped me gain more appreciation for Islands of Adventure and is definitely helping to make me super excited for Epic Universe.

This is probably my most missed defunct attraction that I never got to do. It looked like such a fun and iconic ride. I always forget that there were two versions though! It was very cool doing the Studio Tour in Hollywood, but I really gotta get over to Japan one day to experience the full thing over there. Oh, and this video was amazing and beautifully crafted, as always.

Just recently, I smelled something that reminded me of fleshly made ice cream, which reminded me of a small creamery we had in the mall when I was little. I loved walking by it because I loved the smell, I still do to this day TBH. I had forgotten about that place until that exact moment. It felt wild.

i watch and follow so many theme park pages on YT that I'm shocked I hadn't heard about this place before!

I remember one indoor Jurassic type ride took you deep into a dinosaur 'swamp' with lots of loud overpowering sounds and explosions - finishing through T-Rex about to eat you before hydraulics "dropped" you back to safety. What a ride!

Excelent video man! I love to watch those YT documentaries about theme park attractions and your channel always delivers quality content. About Jaws itself, I'm a simple brazilian who has traveled to Florida only once in 2011, most specifically December... I had no single clue that attraction was less than 1 month from closing forever, which makes me even more grateful for having been able to ride it. I remember seeing all the effects working and the skipper was awesome in his perfomance. I'll be forever grateful for that opportunity and the memories I have of that single 5-minute ride that scared the hell outta me 13 years ago 😂 Btw I swear I could feel the flames' heat from here while you were talking about them on the video lol Greetings from Brazil!

I could see Christine and Maximum Overdrive fitting in perfectly with the Stephen King ride, they probably would have made Pennywise the one who is controlling the possesed cars.

OK - maybe it's just me but - tech problems design faults aside - didn't the sharks look better/more realistic in the original version ?! Something more convincing about them. I also like how they showed both the tale and the dorsal fin as the shark glided through the water, as you see when a real one crests the surface. Meh, a great ride regardless.
