With the amount of Jurassic themed attractions around the world, you could have one super fleshed out amazing park on its own. From VelociCoaster, to River Adventure, to Jurassic World Adventure, to The Flying Dinosaur. I'd be in heaven!
There's almost enough out there for an entire Jurassic theme park. 😭 Now I wanna do that all in one day!

Its tough to describe any aspect of VelociCoaster as "underrated" considering all the praise its gotten. But the storytelling truly is underrated and something I'm so happy to see getting the praise it deserves! Great video as always!
True! It’s hard to say it’s underrated, but I wonder what it’s reputation would be with simpler theming, like the Hulk or even a SeaWorld coaster.

Is the story of the coaster, that the riders are actually Raptors?
Im not a big coaster guy, but I am in awe of VelociCoaster did for Islands of Adventure. I am actually surprised Universal did not decide to make the whole section into a Jurassic World land, even changing the name of the Discovery Center.
@@JasonRBeing The story is stupidly simple: They put a roller coaster in a raptor paddock. It's an in-universe Jurassic World attraction where guests race around with actual raptors. Awful idea, but it's something a real Jurassic World would build.
Yeah, the half JP/JW situation probably comes down to budget. Ideally, it would be one or the other, but the odds and ends from the original and the reboot work decently for a overall "Jurassic" land.
This is a fantastic video! Coasters with a purpose as to why they exist is my jam! Jurassic Park is my favourite movie of all time, and the fact they themed the coaster to actually be in the new movies takes LORE to a whole new level 😂

That coaster looks so intense & awesome! I've ridden Maverick at Cedar Point & love it, but this looks so much better. Plus with Universal theming it the way they did just makes it 100 times better. Great job on the video. I enjoy watching your videos because you're a great storyteller.
Maverick is still a gorgeous coaster with the water and rockwork! But VelociCoaster is really something special.

Great ride review! I had the opportunity to visit Islands of Adventure in 2022 and ride the VelociCoaster. From other vids, I knew of the innovations of the coaster and how it ranked as one of the best in the world. As a fan of the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World the story of the ride is immersive. On the technical merits of the coaster's linear accelerators and the lap restraints alone, makes it top tier. Integrated with the theme adds to the magic of the ride. I'm a long time Disney fan on both coasts and this ride blows away the competition. I highly recommend this ride to all. While it's good during the day, there's extra magic at night. Keep up the good work and spread the good word on your finds!
When I was editing this video, I realized I forgot to mention night rides! Truly takes it to another level. Most coasters give great night rides, but this is really one of the best!

I also love the Spider-Man and Dudley Do right ride. And I feel they are one of the best in the amusement park world. Would love to see your assessment on those as storybook rides.

This area has always been one of my faves, but VelociCoaster really does seem to perfect it. I can’t wait to ride it one day, I know it will rival my Top 5 once I do.
Jurassic Park is somehow chill and exciting. I'm looking forward to how your top 5 shakes up after you ride VelociCoaster!
Velocicoaster looks EPIC [although the velociraptors in the Jurassic Park series should technically be Deinonychus], but I wish we still had an area where we could interact with herbivore dinos like Triceratops Encounter. Honestly, I love dinosaurs so much that I think Universal should just create an entire theme park for the Jurassic Park movies. Universal's theming and attention to detail makes their coasters so unique and interesting, can't say the same about Six Flags. What really angers me though, is when Six Flags gets rid of original mascots in favor of IPs. Cyrus Cosmo, Marvel Mcfey and His Enchanted Animals, and Great Adventure's various mascots were so cool and unique, and make each Six Flags park feel different, which should be the point. As much as I love DC and the Looney Tunes, their areas feel like Six Flags is trying to make budget versions of Disney and Universal. My favorite of the pre-Looney Tunes era Six Flags mascots is Lester Lion from Astroworld's Marvel Mcfey shows, because he's super fluffy, he's clumsy, adorable, but admittedly I'm biased because Lester is a lion, my favorite big cat. I really recommend checking out the Marvel Mcfey shows on RUclips, they are really good. Also Micki [I can't remember what her last name was] created the characters, while Rolly Crump designed them and their costumes. I also recommend checking out the Great Adventure History website's page on the OG mascots, they were also really creative.
Jurassic Park could definitely use some more gentle experiences! Some sort of petting zoo would be great if they could pull that off. But I guess the Discovery Center and its hatchings will do for now!
Well done my friend, Jurassic Park is a theme park IP that feels so connected to its host park and just gives me a special feeling whenever I’m there. Whether it’s the experiences based on the original film or the new ones, it all feels so connective and personal.

Hammond on the docks 🥺 Jurassic Park is definitely one of the best lands at IOA! Not a huge fan of the JW movies but VelociCoaster is the best thing to happen to this park so far besides WWOHP. Great job on this vid!

Having experienced Jurassic Park for the first time during Soft Opening of Islands of Adventure, I was lucky to get to ride Pteranodon Flyers and get sneezed on by Sarah the Triceratops. Each subsequent visit I’d walk past the walled off plot of land between Rip Saw Falls and Jurassic Park and wonder in anticipation when the long rumored Jurassic Park Jeep attraction would finally arrive. Alas it was never to be and years later that plot of land would become home to Kong: Skull Island. Thus solidifying two things. One, That the rule that IOA attractions would be based on books would be broken, and Two, the JP Jeep attraction would never come to fruition. Little did I know that many years later there’d be a Jurassic World franchise and that it would bring, in my opinion, the greatest and most incredibly themed rollercoasters to the central Florida theme parks.
Oooh yeah. IOA has been really special from the moment it opened through today! I'm glad we still have some classic Jurassic Park with updated World parts too.
Seems interesting and intense, but where is the actual storytelling in the ride? I haven't ridden it yet.
It's an overly simple storyline: They put a roller coaster in an active raptor paddock. It's a stupidly Jurassic World type of premise that somehow makes sense. But the way the coaster flows within the land is brilliant.
Yeah. I used colorful words during the second half of the ride, both times I rode it. 😂

When I kept seeing videos of the raptor animatronics, I was impressed and excited to see them in person. When I rode last week, I went through the line and was actually scared of them. They were so realistic my monkey brain went off and percieved them as a threat.
That's hilarious haha. They really nailed it! Even with the air coming out to feel like they're breathing. I get lost and believe it too. 😅
