As a woman, this makes you want to stay out of every Baptist church. Simply because theres a lot of this that goes on. I don't say every Baptist preacher does this, but several do. Its creepy and scary. Any decent man, no matter what a woman did or didn't do, wouldn't do this if they cared for her at all. Even IF any woman didn't act properly, the man can still make a choice to do right. This "irresistible lust" argument that men can't righteously fulfill their needs and so its the womans fault if he doesn't act proper, is bogus. THIS IS VICTIM BLAMING. DAVID was a KING, thats a HUGE power imbalance. And lets be honest, generally speaking, a lot of men can physically over power a woman. Unless she is properly trained somehow. Just by nature theres a good portion of men that can over power women. So for men to take advantage of that. KNowing shes the "weaker vessell" as the Bible says, is a total cop out on his part. Only a coward would blame a woman for him acting on his lust.

I met that guy years ago when I was in an IFB church before I learned how deep and dark the IFB rabbit hole really goes. I actually met him at a "Fallen In Grace" conference put on by David Hyles here in GA. I had no idea who these guys were and the crimes they had committed (allegedly.) Hyles has a ranch in GA where IFB pastors will ship "fallen" deacons and associate pastors for "recovery" and "restoration." I went to the one day conference because I was volunteering with a men's recovery home.

I was once a member of this man's church back in the 1990's. I will deal with psychological triggers from that time for the rest of my life. From a short, acrimonious marriage (that I believe was surreptitiously arranged), to a parenting experience that I consider the worst of my life, Mr. Talley's church, and the skewed theology that produced it, has cast a long, sad shadow on my life. I wish that the information on FBCH that is so plentiful today had been readily available back then (the Internet was only in its infancy at the time). I was never told about the Robert Sumner article, or the work of Jerry Kaifetz and Voyle Glover. I was never told that Hyles even had a son, much less one who was a serial adulterer and rapist. Today, after an experience with Catholicism that was similarly troubling, I am a member of a progressive PCUSA church in another city, my faith somehow surviving. My only contact with the IFB now is through Bruce Gerencser's blog, the work of Eric Skwarczynski, and a page that recognizes Tony Hutson for the stand-up comedian that he is.

So....show me where does scripture say modesty and passing out tracts are required for salvation. Its all about an agenda. An us against them mentality. A lack of trusting that the Holy Ghost will cause a saved individual to dress appropriately and share the good news publicly is apparent in these preachers. It's also apparent they love to sit in their seat of authority and lord over their congregation with yokes of unnecessary rules and regulations that Jesus didnt place on us to begin with. Can someone PLEASE explain HOW this is preaching? Or better yet, explain to me how this is coming straight from God like they claim....because you know, he's "God's man"... Im just confused. Because would Jesus speak and act this way? How is this edifying to the body of Christ? These guys love reading a few verses, and then going off into story or joke telling time. Or worse, yelling at the congregation, verbally abusing them or berating them. Im just not sure this is what the Lord meant for not forsaking the assembling together. This is beyond disappointing.

And they wonder why people are leaving the religious institutional church system at a quick rate. Because believers are sick and tired of having fear and condemnation heaped at them and being treated like wicked unbelievers 🙄. The church is supposed to be a place of edification and where we can all be involved using our spiritual gifts. But modern churchianity treats their members like children and they get no spiritual food. They just leave feeling condemned and they are being fed a works based salvation message.

The incorruptible seed that is spoken of is from God himself. When you are born again you literally receive the incorruptible seed of God himself. That’s why you can never lose your salvation. Has nothing to do with your preferred Bible translation. But these dogs don’t care about your soul. They just want to corrupt you and to control you into giving more of your time and money to their well oiled financial machine. That’s all there is to it.

He’s preaching something that GOD HAS ALREADY ACCOMPLISHED in a believer! We are made perfect the MOMENT we believe in Jesus Christ! He’s teaching Galatian Error, which isn’t surprising because the majority of Christianity teaches a backloaded works based Gospel message.

We become PERFECT by accepting the PERFECT righteousness of Jesus Christ! By believing that Jesus died for all of our sins on the cross and rose from the dead! That’s how we are made perfect in the eyes of God. Probably 99% of these IFB churches, or just churches in general, are trying to teach you to perfect your OWN FLESH and thus are committing GALATIAN ERROR. That’s what the whole book of Galatians is about. They were adding to the finished work of Christ by teaching that works needed to accompany your salvation/and or your Christian walk.

So....just so we're clear, if someone doesnt go to church, and obey, and give tithe, etc, theyre going to face the wrath of God? Sounds a lot like the lagalism ifb preachers teach against. 🤔 To be IN CHRIST you are FREE! Jesus is the One who sanctifies us and molds us into who we ought to be. But preachers hold people to rules, traditions, and obligations and spiritually abuse their congregation because of power, lust, and greed. They use subtle language and manipulate the bible to keep people in line. Thing is, once someone chooses to read and study for themselves becauae they are actually hungry for the truth and for the REAL Jesus, they will leave! And we all know what happens when someone leaves an ifb church. Theyre automatically labeled a backslider, lost, unsaved, rebellious, etc.

If your spirit is immediately bothered by his attitude, his way of speech, and his obvious pride, then you are aware of what the Lord must have felt when He spoke to the religious leaders in Matthew 23! I have unfortunately heard worse than this. Jokes, slander, gossip, arrogance, etc all straight from the pulpit out of the "man of God's" mouth who claims He gets this message from the Holy Ghost. Question....would the Holy Ghost speak this way? Does He speak to you in your spirit and conscious this way? I think not!!!

My goodness. That was.... I can't even describe it. We can play with numbers all day long and find whatever we want. The chapters and the verses are not in the original languages. That argument is childish and very extra biblical. That is what cults do. And I realized time ago that they are a cult. 1. They use the Bible to say what they want. 2. The main leaders are untouchable, because they are the "Men of God" 3. They threaten anyone who disagree and kick them out. 4. They spend/waist a lot of time criticizing other churches and pastors instead of teaching the word of God. 5. They created many dogmas using the Bible to back it up, I stead of using the Bible to create their beliefs. 6. Very high leaders abuse of their power and many others follow them. They also hide and the other leaders cover up their sins.

KJV-only is a purity standard added by men. The same men who do this to verses they don't think say things how they would say them (like Jesus turning water into actual wine) also do it to the Word Itself. The Word of God is preserved in parchments and fragments and whole entire scrolls, but there is no one place where they've been brought together definitively where God came and said, those scrolls and not those, those fragments and not those. KJV-only follows the Textus Receptus collection, and ALL arguments about it are based on the idea that it's the definitive collection, and all others are corrupt because they weren't gathered and grouped together by one man at the same point in time, Erasmus. It's beyond silly, but it attracts the type of ppl who like to feel like they're right, and they're privileged enough to have got the one single perfect preserved God-breathed ever-lovin true copy of the WORD. They couldn't quote one verse from every book of the Bible (66 is a lot of verses!!!!), and don't study more than the easy sections, but bless God they have it HAYMAN!
