Stereotypical Wheel of Time fan/hater here. Have read the series twice and it sucks lol. It definitely feels like an abusive relationship. But, if you're not scared away by the length then it's definitely worth the read as no other series embodies such a strange dichotomy of extreme good and bad as it. Protip: don't attempt a sniff/button adjustment count, you'll go as mad as a male aes sedai. Brave New World is the pinnacle of classic sci fi though. Best of luck!

great list! as a huge lotr fan of both books and films i would recommend watching the movies first. the book is quite dense and descriptive (there are long passages just talking about trees) and feel like it would be easier to remind yourself of the plot points, character, locations and battles to make the reading easier. don’t let that put you off though they are both a fun time for different reasons :)

Read this book in English. I did really like it too! I would say I liked Catcher In The Rye better, though.

Hello, I'm listening and I don't judge! I'm very chaotic in my reading too (I read a lot for 2 weeks then nothing for a month), but it's okay :) . 1) I'm a difficult reader, if in the middle of a book it appears that I'm not hooked by the story and the characters, I don't mind not finishing it. Same for a series that goes off the rails at some point. I have plenty of other hobbies and I want to make the most of my free time. So I prefer to go to the public library to borrow books rather than buy them. 2) I have a special place in my heart for books and audiobooks that have a summary at the beginning of a new volume (like the Blackwater series or Dune audiobook) it helps a lot ! 3) If the book doesn't include a summary, add a paper bookmark on which you can write throughout the story, or at the end of the book. So you have a quick recap for the next volume. Hope those tips will help !
