Impressive work. It's only right that you go back to wherever you need to and fix mistakes, problems etc. We've all been there but in the end you'll have built and sealed that engine up perfectly. It's a bike worthy of that attention.........can't wait to hear that silky sound of a 400 Four again. A beautiful piece of Honda engineering.

New subscriber here Tim, & can I just say how much I’m enjoying your vids! So pleased you took your time showing us around the classic cars & gave us good information about the barges & traction engines. Transport weekend in Lymm is now on my annual calendar & we hope to visit someday soon. All the best mate & keep the vids coming!👍😎 By the way you’re right about the ticket prices for the field...they charge a tenner at my nearest classic car show in Hebden Bridge!!

Great workmanship.......totally agree that if you're not happy with something.......STOP! Think about it, diagnose the problem, fix it and only then, move on. Good practise.......it'll be worth every minute you spent on that build in the end.

You are a true back street mechanic hero. The bike looks lovely. I have had 2 CX 500's over the years. Both of which I did a complete engine rebuild . Your method of operation is the same as I have been employing since 1987 . Bin the king and queen seat. And that horrible rack. Thank you for producing this video

Hey thanks for your positive comment. Ive been on the bikes since 1990 when I bought my first. Never not owned a bike since. You did well to rebuild a CX500.big job that. I was lucky my engine was sweet. 😃

Omg my first motorcycle. I was 16. Now 76. Never seen this configuration. Rear swing arm no dampers. 2gears set off n bit faster. I put bigger sprocket on cud do 55mph. Honda not exist.this took me all over, all weathers. I had grey long seat. Could do two riders ,had rear pegs. but hills where I lived were a pest. Oh my, memories. Crankshaft seals n bearings iffy.clutch shot.rebuilt Bradford place. They burgled soon after and moved. Re bored cos groove in cylinder, sorted seals much better. My oh my. Who ever gets it pls look after it.

I use vice grips when all is lost, when they don't work I will use a chisel and hammer. Usually they will shock a screw loose, then replace with new hardware using antiseize. It's kinda crude but it works, especially if you can't use heat in the area. I just bought a 1977 400f to replace the one I had years ago ...so here I go again...
