I use vice grips when all is lost, when they don't work I will use a chisel and hammer. Usually they will shock a screw loose, then replace with new hardware using antiseize. It's kinda crude but it works, especially if you can't use heat in the area. I just bought a 1977 400f to replace the one I had years ago ...so here I go again...
