Then before I was 16 I got a CL350 that was also a nice bike but not as nice as the 160. After the 350 I switched to Suzuki and had a GT550 triple two stroke. Loved that bike, two strokes for the win!!! When it hit the power band, the front wheel comes up. Never get tired of that. That was my senior year in high school. Two years after graduating.. time to get a new bike. Bought a 79 Suzuki GS1000 off the showroom floor, paid $2500 for it. Another very sweet bike, fast, smooth and sounded so good. Love cruising in the mountains, wife on the back, tent, sleeping bag. Sold it after 2 years for $2500. Next bike was an 84 Honda Nighthawk 700. Another great bike, loved riding that thing through the country roads. It was stolen when I was in Houston... Didn't get another one until 87 when I picked up a GS800 and restored it. It too was stolen from my apartment in Dallas around '91. Haven't had one since. In between the GS1000 and the 700 nighthawk I had a Honda 200X 3 wheeler. That was more fun than should be allowed. Loved riding it on dirt roads, sliding sideways through the corners. Spraying dirt and rocks everywhere.

I don't understand why there is so much "hate" on this video I thought a restoration is when he uses the same parts and cleaning them And a repair would be when you replaced some parts due to damaged or just because they are not good to be used again But as the name said "restoration" not "Repair" I may be wrong, but I relly liked this video, is really impressive how many oarts this motors have And the guy just disassembled everything an put it back in again. 10/10🎉
Another excellent restoration the only thing I would say maybe could have been different is to paint the Honda black to match the top cover tying it all together.
smart men change all bearings, seals, piston rings etc, same time then have all open, then have sure all have good after repair. cheap change bearings and seals new, and valve seals, stupid keep old and then next week go some old part broken need open again all engine. better change all new same time, because not cost lot, very cheap buy new bearings and seals.
Very nice and helpful video. In this procedure, your should change Piston, Piston Rings, Carburetor internal parts, complete gasket kit, ball bearings with brand new parts. Thank you Sir.
@@marcofrancioso6348 Dear Marco, When you put out piston with that's 2 types of rings from cylinder after several years of using them, they should change with brand new one because they (Rings) will deform after exiting from cylinder and maybe appear micro cracks on them.
I was also wondering why he didn't change the wear parts. Most of these parts (gaskets, ball bearings etc.) are easily available and don't cost a fortune, but I'd strongly recommend to use a NOS piston (if necessary!) and piston rings, as aftermarket parts by my experiance often show low quality.
@@marcofrancioso6348 maybe have ok, but better ghange new parts if engine have open, lot better all in engine have sure new parts, stupid stay old parts and then next week one bearing go broken need open all engine again. not smart.
These are strong engines, my friend rode mine without any oil for some time after I changed it but found that someone used my quart of oil. I had told him that he could ride it whenever but he didn't know I got a ride to get a quart of oil. It smoked a little bit after that so I pulled the top end and honed the cylinder and put some new rings in it. Mine was a used bike that was rode hard and it still ran when I sold it years later for $50 bucks.
My daughter bought a Chinese made knock-off of one of these engines, a 230cc unit. Construction much the same though has CDI ignition. It had an oil seepage at the head joint which pushed me to take off the head and put in better parts. I was a Honda mechanic in the U.S. many years ago, very few push-rod engines from them in those days.
sure, normal men change all same time when engine have open, cheap buy new parts. if keep old worst bearing and next week go broken stupid all need open again and change all parts new, lot stupid work more.

Thank you very much. I cleaned my engine step by step watching your guide
I really would like it if you could start adding in what liquids your using, what color paint/primer. Etc. Just in 1 of the corners. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE
I don't understand why there is so much "hate" on this video
I thought a restoration is when he uses the same parts and cleaning them
And a repair would be when you replaced some parts due to damaged or just because they are not good to be used again
But as the name said "restoration" not "Repair"
I may be wrong, but I relly liked this video, is really impressive how many oarts this motors have
And the guy just disassembled everything an put it back in again.
10/10🎉
A work of amazing precision, I really appreciate your work, man.🍻💪🏻
Yes very cool 😎
🤣
I am Indonesian ... This is remind me 40 years ago, my first motorcycle. Inherited from my father. Tough but reliable motor for daily use.
Another excellent restoration the only thing I would say maybe could have been different is to paint the Honda black to match the top cover tying it all together.
Still sold in the Philippines today as the TMX 125 Alpha. With the Chinese too from 125cc, 150cc and 175cc.
I wonder if the frame and tires will be one video or split into two?🤔
Awesome job!!! ❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Dude this is literally what I’ve been looking for
Motor totalmente restaurante e ficou novo 😊 ótimo trabalho nesse motor da Honda 125.
OMG! Beatiful I could only wish I could perfect such a rebuild.....Very Very Nice....Production was spot on....
Good job.😊
Yes very cool 😎
Interesting engine.
Superb workmanship.
Inspiring video.
Thank you.
Why are these videos so satisfying?!
Needs bearings, seals, rings, and valves/ valve seats lol
smart men change all bearings, seals, piston rings etc, same time then have all open, then have sure all have good after repair. cheap change bearings and seals new, and valve seals, stupid keep old and then next week go some old part broken need open again all engine. better change all new same time, because not cost lot, very cheap buy new bearings and seals.
Love them old Honda motors. They will run forever with proper maintenance
they will run forever even if the universe collapses these things will still be rolling around for some reason
You should get a parts washer. Some are self-contained, so need for plumbing.
man i wish i can restore engines everyday
Good job
Yes very cool 😎
I love this little engine I used to have one. The 100 cc is also extremely reliable.
Very nice and helpful video. In this procedure, your should change Piston, Piston Rings, Carburetor internal parts, complete gasket kit, ball bearings with brand new parts. Thank you Sir.
Maybe he has checked clearances and pistone an Rings are ok
Excellent video/skills. I just noticed you didn't remove the crankshaft bearings' seals, which were out on original bearings for lubrication .
Even me I noticed that maybe the piston have been fixed back without o rings
Work of art!!! Great Job.
Will she start? nobody knows
I am super excited for final part please upload the final video it’s been so long and just waiting ❤❤❤❤
Restauração top! Mecânico profissional.
This engine is a piece of art.
Nossa ficou 10 👏👏👏👏👏
These old bikes are solid I had one as a kid and used to ride it around my uncles farm couldn't kill it😂
Simply magnificent! outstanding restoration, keep up the great work:)
My daughter bought a Chinese made knock-off of one of these engines, a 230cc unit. Construction much the same though has CDI ignition. It had an oil seepage at the head joint which pushed me to take off the head and put in better parts. I was a Honda mechanic in the U.S. many years ago, very few push-rod engines from them in those days.
used the same old piston and valves, here in my country this is called disassembling, cleaning and reassembling. Not a "restoration".
Ele nem fez a retifica do cabeçote kkkkkkkkk
CG 125, one of the most durable, low maintenance and on budget bike honda has ever made.
Now that it is clean, take it apart again and actually rebuild it, not just make it look better.
فنان ❤❤
Why did you go through all that and not pull the valves and lap them?
To get views.
Merci.
J'aime beaucoup votre façon de travailler.
Je viens d'acheter le même moteur que je veux restaurer.
Votre vidéo va m'être très utile.
Excelente trabalho.
Hello, I am a 16-year-old Iranian boy. I have a Honda engine in the version 125, 150, 200. It is still produced in Iran.
Nice cleaning and paint but no new seals, bearings, clutch plates, piston rings, carb parts, etc, etc?
sure, normal men change all same time when engine have open, cheap buy new parts. if keep old worst bearing and next week go broken stupid all need open again and change all parts new, lot stupid work more.
Either way, impressive disassembly, spa treatments, and reassembly
You need about 5 gallons of Varsol and dip all those parts
Can you make your own video how then please
wow...amazing to watch you work....and wow.
The guy just sanded valves in place. I'm done.
quel beau travail ! magnifique ! bravo !
A junta no velomolde é só por a junta encima de um E.v.a e por a carcaça encima e pressionar que ela molda certinho e só cortar dps
