Thank you for sharing. Im a private pilot, but would like to fly a true part 103. Im just worried about wind and cross wind. Have you flown a true ultra light with some wind and cross wind? What would you say is safe when it comes to wind and cross wind on those ultra lights?

I had visions of paramotoring for a time, but now at 61 I don't see sprinting on takeoff and landing (not interested in a trike paramotor). 103 looks like the new dream and maybe eventually sport. Keep the vids and info coming! 👍

So by virtue of the 2 seats in this aircraft it means you've got to have some sort of License(aircraft) to fly her OR him? So is this a paid, "GiG" as I've seen these mostly in South American Nations? Unfortunately I've seen at least two bad crashes as pilots performed this activity. Glad you survived it. Shit happens

Was an F4 crew chief, 20 hours in the F4 sim, flew the F4 for one sortie…. Have dual time in helicopters, couldn’t afford to finish. Have flown in many different smaller aircraft with friends over many years…. What I appreciate in this video is the realistic things to think about getting any aircraft. I would love to fly one of these bug smashers, however I know I would get bored with it. These machines are expensive and great consumers of time. Much more than one might think when they romanticize about owning any aircraft. Start with the end in mind.

Sorry but it was operator malfunction. holding the tank (which is obviously a repourposed fire extinguisher) inverted moved all of the powder away from the pick up tube. only the powder in the pick up tube was discharged.

Does the noise of the plane bother you at all? That is the only thing that would make me think twice about this type of aircraft.

Question, can the wing on the a challenger be uninstalled and be able to load in a trailer for transport across country? I’m thinking Montana summers and Arizona winters. Would a new inspection be required with each move and reassembly?

Been interested in ultralight flying for some time. Retired now and might finally find time to actually get into it.

OKAY ... you really need to cleanup your nomenclature. "REDUCE" means throttle, and "PULL" always means stick. The student should never be taught to confuse the two. Also, ALWAYS use clockface directions rather than "over there to your right".

Full span ailerons and flaperona on ultralight type aircraft typically create quite a bit of adverse yaw, especially when they don't incorporate some type of differential control. The drooping aileron creates more lift and thus more drag. A 3-axis Quicksilver also requies rudder during turns. During an emergency landing due to a prop strike, that also took out my rudder cables, I had to literally bank left to turn right, away from an approaching oak tree. Probably not a bad idea to practice reduced control maneuvers (at a safe height of course) to be ready if the situation comes up. Do you know if you can use weight shift to control your flight path? Are your controls trimmed for reasonably level uncontrolled flight, if needed?
