    Looked like a great day to fly! There was a Funk airplane at that away field! My brother has one of those, he also has a Bonanza. Looked a little bit bumpy of a ride. I get that a lot too as I only fly really on nice sunny days. But I can largely mitigate that as I usually fly at 4,500-5,500 ft, the bumpiness usually settles out above 3,500 here. 3,500 is about the minimum I fly as 97% of bird strikes happen at or below 3,000...Bumpiness is okay for a while but not for a long time. Back in 2017 I did my biennial in a J5-A Cub on a really windy, bumpy day. The weather forecast didn't reflect reality. it was also a training flight for tailwheel - at an away site, the CFI at the time after we got on the ground was like "Wow, you did pretty good with the winds and all!" hehe. That was a fun little plane, difficult to get in and out of but once in it was great. Had a 75 HP engine so it was right about abeam the numbers when we got to 1,000 ft and 90 mph, just in time. to cut power and base-to-final...LOL. Need a Snickers for that plane (not going anywhere for a while)

    Good Job on the GoAround! I feel like too many pilots are worried about 'having' to do a go around. It takes balls to cut your losses and go around. That's an awesome attitude for a young pilot!

      @@TheJonjonj you’re doing a great job of getting the next generation of pilots on the move! I hope to do the same with young pilots around my area too. I helped my daughter get her pilot license, looking for more youngsters to spark interest in aviation.

    Looks like a good.time was had. I am trying to find a better way to mount my sentry. Iam not a fan of suction cup in this airplane.I am looking forword to getting my kids up with me when I build some more time in mine. I also just put the doors on. I am curious how much different it will handle with them on. Thanks for the videos.

      @jeremyjohnston5769 I agree with suction cup I'm about tired of it falling! I've been trying to come up with alternative mounting without interference of other things!

    Great video, I enjoy the adventure videos , would have liked a tour , showing the other planes at the fly in , your son does a great job, like the team work with him backing you up looking for traffic .
    Like the idea of your raw video channel. I put those types of videos on as background noise when I am working on the rc planes in the bsmt .

    So is the other pilot displaying a frequency somehow where you can talk at him? If so what’s needed to transmit and receive radio comm?

    • @TheJonjonj
      @TheJonjonj  Месяц назад +1

      @wisdomspitter7688 yea we all have regular radios so we can communicate. Or do you mean within my airplane? Like how do I talk to the passenger?

      @wisdomspitter7688 Месяц назад

      I should say you went onto mention ADS-B Out. Basically I just got a Phantom X1 and am trying to determine what sort of radio gear one would need to not be invisible up there.

    OKAY ... you really need to cleanup your nomenclature. "REDUCE" means throttle, and "PULL" always means stick. The student should never be taught to confuse the two. Also, ALWAYS use clockface directions rather than "over there to your right".
