The BB’s! While they’re grew on me, I wish they had the other colors for sale where I got these because these hoesssss atrocious 🤣 But they skating insanely good so far ! But they may not last 😢 I’m still gonna tap into the rest of their collections albeit I’m not stoked on how most of them look, kind of like rehash after rehash of long existing things. But hey, if they skate like this and actually hold up, I’m alllll the way down like Buster Brown

@Robredhonda Yeah same dude. For example, Kickflips and tre flips are so much better for me in shoes like this but without fail I always hurt my ankle or feet somehow lol.

Thanks, damn shoes cost a fortune. And they just came with a black/ white and now navy green color way that both look quite delicious but I know the shoes ain’t sh*t 🤣🤣 Maybe when they’re discounted I’ll grab another and maybe one of those two colors which may take longer at this point since they just dropped. Right now I see them for $99, the older models, pst that’s not a sale to my ass. I JUST uploaded the Last Resrot VM004 shoes as a matter of fact. First time with the brand. I did a 100 Kickflip video, lots of hoe-tapping and board tapping. I’m gonna do a first impressions video next. It’s been 4 days of actual skating in them. I’m concerned about the longevity but am loving the way it skates so far. Def a sale shoe tho, $90 bucks is insanity. I got mine for $40 so that’s beyond a great deal. Better than the PS8 for me so far 🤣🤣 I just don’t like how most of them look nor low cut shoes on a personal level. That being said all the VMs are my speed low cut aside. Those toe caps are PHENOMENAL in their build. I’m looking to grab a couple more Last Resort’s, regardless I’m down for some reviews and to the extent I care it is skater owned so that’s a major plus. I’m a happy camper so far with them. I took too long to get around to skating the brand.

They know exactly what they’re doing hitting on that casual/ skate field. They are detailed enough in both areas. Reminds me of many of the Hours Is Yours. Striking that balance of casual fashionable or Skateable. The leather on these joints weren’t so bad, they broke in rather quick. Wish I could say the same for some of the other leather shoes I had where it had that slip to em. I almost wanna give em to someone to break them in for me a bit 🤣

Me neither, me neither. I’m super surprised. I will say after 4 days of skating total things are starting to look a bit yikkkkessssssy as far as them being a $90 shoe at retail. The bottom grip in one section is smoother than Joe Rogans head and brain.

@@diplenski true! At one point when things were really tight I was just getting these Chinese counterfeit Chuck’s off Amazon. $20 and would last about as long as the real thing. Just need to kinda shuffle around a decent insole but tons of color ways and are basically a solid option for disposable shoes lol

Apparently they went in with that in mind styling them after the Cortez. They ain’t got the same energy though as the OGs. Not a Mexican homie I knew growing up didn’t own a pair or 50, this was they’re Jordans I guess💀💀 Dickies shorts and high socks or IS pants I think they were called.

Yeah I’m throughly impressed right now by them and it’s still just the high I’m off of my first and only one so far, really loving the art designs of the graphics as well. They look incredible and unique. I don’t know what the hell is going on, but I like it🤣 The crispness of them is what it is too. A certain richness to the print/color. Mine in particular had a raised graphic which was pretty neat, nice attention to detail seeing as the dudes on it are stone so it gave it that realistic feel. And I tried to find out exactly what the slick material is specifically but it’s not listed or talked about in such detail at least from what I could find. The pop part is straight forward as to what it is and I seen that in the description and promo vid they have on it. With the Slick tried my best to detail what I experienced and how it felt and performed. Since it has so much life in it still I didn’t want to remove it, perhaps once I skate it more I might. It’s interesting, Santa Cruz takes a waxier almost chalk like approach for theirs. Unless that was just the one I had. I wanna run comparison eventually on the two but might feel that Opera is gonna take it Appreciate the comment and feedback! I hope yours does you well, unless you mean you’ve had em, just not the Pop Slicks specifically thus know how fire Opera is in general.

@ I have not had an Opera board before, no. But I’m looking forward to getting my first one. I want a symmetrical pop slick but my only hesitation is that steep kick. I’m not near on your level (got back into skating after years) and I’ve got a Baker and Chocolate deck. So pretty mellow, ya know. But I’m at the point where I’ve got my balance and ollie down again. Ready to do some grinds. Mostly skating crusty street spots so hoping the pop slick will help the deck last a bit longer and slide easier. Digging the videos, boss. Cracking me up and keeping me informed at the same time.

🤦🏾‍♂️ That’s always the worst, you triggered my PSTD 🤣 Kickflips, Switch Flips, and 3 Flips are always on the chopping block for me with the wrong pair of shoes or board. When a shoe just doesn’t hit or even a board which I’ve experienced now and you lose a particular trick it’s frustrating. While with me and these, it was the opposite but once I started reviews skating so many different products and back to back I’ve had this happen a few times to the point I really can’t do certain tricks💀💀 Now usually I just have to really focus on a pair of shoes or switch shoes completely and they kind of come back or I have to spend a couple of days, but some had me at day one of skating completely gone. Like I couldn’t even process a Kickflip. Shit sucks. Mainly cupsole that are thick do me in. For these I had to put my foot lower on the board and basically completely sideways as opposed to that 90 degree slant ( |:: //:: ) Luckily, I figured that out right away on accident with these early on so was able to get some good ones. Some shoes are too goofy and I gotta go way outside the box for them to work. I have about 3 generally approaches I run down that help but some shoe just ain’t right. What really pisses me off is when I lose my Switch flips. Switch and nollie heels have long left the building to the point I legit have to relearn them. I neglected them too long to where they don’t click. Now I’m yapping all this and in that time could have probably relearned them 🤣

💀💀💀 I seen so many “Fit” reviews and yeah, they aren’t pretty. It is lackluster day 2 just walking in them. I thought it was gonna be at least really comfortable or mid, it may not when it’s all said and done. I gotta get back to them but have hopped to these Last Resort AB VM004 for now! Now it’s Skinny as a dog’s…if I say it I’m in trouble and on 6 different watchlist, but it’s hitting so far. Just likely gonna be a low impact Shoe.

Yeah the halfcabs may out do these honestly BUT. It’s too early for me to make that call. They’re a bit more flimsy for me than halfcabs and I can be indifferent to that but rather it not be so the halfcabs take it there for me. Next my feet were kind of hurting day 2 just walking in these NB Joints. Hopefully it was just a me thing vs the shoes impact and support already waining. Yeah I’m really liking the color way on these. I especially like the hints of navy blue on it too. I do love a good Gum sole done properly, always looks clean.

That’s always the big brain move to do. I got some Reynold G3s still 🤣 I miss those days since with reviews it’s me running the shoe raw and often times I don’t return to said shoe and or have gotten another pair if I really like it for a later date. Ideally I would have been started repairs for many of them, not that I still can’t but imma get less out of it since I’ve worn them so down. On the bright side I’ve saved every pair of shoes I’ve had over the years so once I’m more free it’s time to break out that Super glue and touch them up as I once did before. It’s been YEARS since I’ve worn out the bottoms completely to the point of there being holes and my insole busting out🤣 Although I’m not down for that, that was the struggle days where it was a board or shoes and I could extend my shoes vs boards. I was skating Turbo brand Blanks. I had these Reebok DGK shoes and converted them to sandals unintentionally.

@@cyberinsurgent9910 clear gorilla glue is better than superglue, but takes longer to dry, at least overnight before skating. i skate my boards to death too, it's a hard habit to break. the struggle stays with you, sometimes in ways that are helpful. your most valuable resource is resourcefulness

Which is fine, many such cases, but to actually get a quality brand that feels above your standard entering that preferred tier feels good. I’m keeping an eye on these for sure grabbing them where I can for backups ready to go. If it used to be Madness I have SHAT THE BED because 1. I would have experienced such quality a year ago plus, and 2. At a solid discount, I believe they were going for $40 on sale. I recall getting a Studio board around the same time and noticed the brand. I hadn’t heard of them either but ultimately went with the Studio deck. They had Studio, Madness, Almost, and then some others for as low as $40

Yeah the way the ones hit with comfort just hug 🫂 your ankle especially. I mean it’s comfortable all around but that extra that the mids just don’t have since there’s literally… less shoe🤣 comes in strong. I have YET to skate a SINGLE SUEDE ONE and I know it’s just pure fireeeeee. I think I’ll start with the 1’s in a suede version. I was eyeing the red and white one when the remastered’s dropped.

Yeah hopefully it won’t, I haven’t had the OG Puigs to really say, but as far as my experience went here, they didn’t seem to give at all in that area. So hopefully yours hold up the same as well but you never know 🤣 I speak highly of them in that area but ultimately you never know so for what it’s worth I’m hoping yours hold true. Maybe catch it with some shoe goo if it does start to happen but I really ran these hard and skated them super long.

I skated these in a full review on my channel so to add on to my prior ramble (not sure what order you’ll get these in) but in terms of me skating them a longggggg time. I hit a full month in these no problem really, although it did look like it was gonna be a shit show potentially after this initial 100 Kickflips video. So I was mentioning in my last comment about how they held up for me and after so much time skating them and how they should, but you never know do the same for you. Wasn’t sure the video you were on and if it was the 100k one which I see it is. The full review to save time was that full month. *Granted I add 1 week for these 100k videos to that since that’s the rate I’d do 100 Kickflips bare minimum just normally skating outside a video with 100k that’s done within a session or two. I need to get in my Emerica bag, I got a stockpile of them from over the past 4 years 🤣🤣 I gotta add the Hobans to my list and about to more that dropped since then. I couldn’t wait for the Vulcanos so ended up dropping those already. I wanted to basically do like 1,000 Kickflips in ONE DAY 🤣 That’s why I been waiting.

Yeah, I been laggggggging it 🤣 That was SEVERAL months ago. Or at least when the Tyshawn 2’s dropped. Basically I just Gotta finish editing that one. In short it was run of the mill long lasting and I didn’t chip it Easy. I mess with them for sure. I will say the tail felt lonnnnger than a biccccch for me some reason. By that it felt slightly longer but actually made a world of difference for me throwing off my Kickflips a bit before adjusting. I almost wanted to run another one to see how that one does shape wise and if there is other shapes. I didn’t see off hand looking but sometimes there’s differences between sizes and other things companies won’t always list. While probably not always true, when I would get smaller boards like an 8.06 or below vs 8.25 and up of the same brands, I can’t remember, maybe it’s the opposite but I felt like the bigger boards often times had more pop or kick to them. Maybe it’s the reverse, it’s been so long 🤣 And I’m paying attention to any listed shapes so it’s not like I happen to get a baker OG concave in one size and then have the B2 in another which is actually listed and would just be me not looking. I swear I’d run the same shape and get different results. Maybe the smaller ones have more point to them and the bigger ones almost never had more point in my experience but the smaller ones tended to have more kick in the nose and tail.

@ Gotcha! I skated one once , it’s the same shape as a FA board. I want to say the dimensions are the same when it comes to the length and wheelbase as well. The one you were skating looked a little tapered, I know the other ones have the square tail with the shovel nose.

@Pcat_DREAMS any deluxe brands(real, antihero, krooked, grimple stix) are pressed 4 at a time and have a roman numeral I-IV stamped in the deck indicating its location in the stack. the III and IV are the bottom 2 and the mellowest. powell/mini logo are also known to be pretty flat, especially in the narrower shapes but i can't say i've had one any time recently. any dwindle brand(almost/enjoi/blind/darkstar/madness/etc) is single pressed and has the shape printed on it, i really like the medium and mellow. i usually ride 8-8.25" in popsicles or 9"+ in shapes

@Pcat_DREAMS originally yeah, 5.0(7.65") but it has 20yo stock grindking bushings in them. i'm surprised how nice they are still. grindking always made good stuff

@Pcat_DREAMS nah, but i remember them. my cousin had some on his board. they were sick, and very well-made. a bit bulky underfoot, but i think they'd sell just on nostalgia if they brought them back. they make rocketbolts now, they are splined and the head is smooth and shaped like a star. you just tighten the nut and it pulls them in

TLDR the Lows In my experience. Easily the 2’s for the worse IN comparison that is. The Lows for me edged out the 1’s being the best! So the lows for me in my experience are the GOATS with the 1’s being a close second, honestly which ever is cheaper at the moment I’m grabbing between those two. I haven’t had the 1 remastereds so those while they look like the 1’s hardly really remastered I can’t say for sure on that. So If you go with the 1’s be mindful if it says remastered or not. I’d bet it’s the 1’s more or less though just guessing. But either of those two I would say you can’t go wrong. So the Lows were my favorite offering comfort and longevity vs the others. The 2’s are the least durable in my experience thus far but still hold up as of now well enough. JUST not for $100 imo. I don’t know a shoe where I’m down for that price since you can always find shoes cheaper, even the same model usually. The 480s come close. Anyways the Ty Lows. The 1’s are dope but the lows come in and make them better to me with that suede bumper. The 2’s have comfort mostly in the outsole, not so much the collar of the shoe but nothing like the 1’s or Lows, and the Lows have a bit less than the 1’s which are the most comfortable overall but again I lost my flick quicker.

Good looking, I was actually filming for a trick Tip as far as the and Tailslides go so was really trying to polish them up here 🤣 Spent the day only to get the garbaaaagio I got here. (As in I want to elevate to popping out but do like where they’re at) As far as the crooks go, they have LEFT the damn building 💀💀 They don’t pinch at times, I just gotta work on em for about 10mins. I’ve been neglecting the ledge so my nollie crooks are better rn somehow 🤦🏾‍♂️ I’ll try to work on that BS Tail trick tip, I gotta see how and IF I can be of use and If so then I’ll do more trick tips. Just gotta get that test run out first is all.

You ain’t even wrong, I been talking about doing YT seriously and said I am even without actually doing so like a Moron🤣🤣 I need to stop playing, I already put countless $$$ into it for shits and gigs, albeit I typically use most the stuff anyways that I seek to review so it’s just a normal purchase in my eyes. That’s how I rationalize it, it’s a little cope though 🤣 It’s just frustrating to not get any return vs what’s put in, but I can’t let that, and haven’t let it stop me. I like to control all I can and be as self reliant as possible because others are just another undependable factor and I can’t pay someone as of now which I would want to do be them filming or editing. With a pay incentive that increases the dependability at least editor wise more so. That’s a later on thing if I scale up because As of now I don’t film enough to where it saves me time to keep grinding and kick it to someone to edit that way I’m freed of 10s of HOURS since editing takes so much time unless someone’s gonna come in for free. Basically the lackluster content I do now takes time and I have time to edit but I need to work to vlogs or skate sessions that can be pumped out more routinely because reviews quite literally take X amount of time, weeks to months even. That’s not good for consistent content uploads without big gaps so I need to diversify my shit anyways. Part of that yeah is actually going in FRONT of the camera more so talking to the camera and people vs the more so distant dry mumbled background Biccccching I’m doing now. I basically gotta do all you’re talking about or else I’d never make anything out of anything for the most part. As for a filmmer, no one’s around, dependable, and available to get up at 5am when I do and all else at random and when I’m in the mood to skate lmao. Super infrequent but I’d love love love to get it in while I can and go with a tripod when I’m not able that way I can get what I can with a filmmer. Someone to film you is ALWAYS the best and game changing for skating in particular. Def something I would work towards easily.

Not a problem and I agree with the look of these vs most the OG sambas! These are nothing short of refreshing imo. Also I didn’t expect the amount of non skaters I’ve gotten on some of my reviews, makes me contemplate being a tad bit normal of a human being for once during these reviews 🤣 *Edit that’s not gonna happen but I think I should include some more general use information even if I pretty much hit all bases regardless by happen stance for many of these Big brands like Nike and Adidas that bring in non skaters more often

Not a problem, I feel the first two are the most fortified with the lows being the most and ultimately edging out the OGs, but to each their own as always. It’s just a plus that you can routinely find the first two on sale and massively so vs the 2’s since obviously that’s newer. I did catch some on EBay for $35 but nowhere near my size lmao. Typically if it’s a sea that good it’s because they have nothing close to an 11, it’s always 8.5 or below with my luck.
