- I skated in the NIKE SB PS8 or Problem Solver 8 shoes, the safari pack and or the Olympics drop. I did 100 Kickflips in these New Nike SB shoes. The price is absurd and makes zero sense. I skated them for at least an hour doing the tricks I can so I can get a wear test in. But with how limited it is and sold out it is, I take it most have to BUY it and take any chances, they can't so much watch shoe reviews and THEN go buy what's not really in stock like that because Nike WANTS it that way. This was hard to get because that's what Nike does, money over all, clout over all, and cater to hype over the industry of skateboarding they only virtue signal about. For instance making sure you do limited runs to up the price and making sure it's already insanely priced both work to bend over any actual skaters on average and cater to those not seeking to skate and or who are the wealthiest. Common tactic, not a new game and it's overtly done. Forced scarcity over any skate community for money grabs. The comedic part is the vener of BS of pretending "wE pUt iT iN skAtE ShopS sO wE cUrrEn gUis PrUmUSe" *I digress.

Ah, I see, I see, good looking out! I’m gonna pin your correction. Makes sense. I may have to cut these Hoecakes in half, never been tempted to do so since it seems like so much hassle but with these in particular it might get decent views. I do that I may not be able to stop🤣🤣
I pulled from several places to try and find what I could that they’d even care to detail. I did notice as seen even on the graph that may be towards that specific type at said time it was made. Most I seen was “updated Flyplate” and that was from another company if I recall. I try to go for the primary site but many stopped saying anything about the tech oddly enough. They just know it’s gonna sale
I guess. I know I tried to find more specific details on the Tyshawn II’s outsole, that orange “button” I call it and don’t recall finding ish.
I think I know I used SKATEWAREHOUSE, TACTICS, And skateparkoftampa as far as non Nike sources go.
I think Nike completely WIPED the page even so I couldn’t grab that information to the right they usually have. So I screen shot stuff as soon as I can since they tend to do that. There’s a Nike Release page too or something that I grabbed much of what I did.

AND upped the price by $10 for this particular drop 🤣🤣 I guess the normal one will come in at $120, still an absolute travesty and utter Fuckfuckary. Esp since this particular color way goes harder some how. I’d be curious to see what the dropped price rate comes in at and if it will be routine. For instance I can grab the Ishods and various others for $70 pretty consistently. I’d imagine these will at least become $80 or some shit.
I was thinking of trying pepper grip. Mob is too crazy and destroys your shoes fast. I tried rubber grip trying to save my shoes, man did that suck.
Like 5 years ago I bought 3 sheets of rubber grip cause I was super bought in on the idea. Skated my first sheet, and I still got the other 2 sheets rolled up in a closet to this day. Never again

Best you can do is use lesser grit Mob. And if it wears too fast, maybe, I’m far too lazy, swap it when need be. I’ve been toughing it out with mob for almost a decade now I actually hit the point it’s really grippy but I feel like it may not be as grippy as it once was 😭 I got use to it.

I rather just buy less grippy grip if anything, even if it’s marginally better. However I love and don’t mind mobs stickiness. The fact that board would otherwise be pretty cooked at this point is what sells the first few days struggle. I hate having slick foot grip. While I’m use to the grip and it doesn’t bother me out the gate at this point, that doesn’t mean it’s not clearly EVISCERATING my shoes 😩
@@cyberinsurgent9910 tbf, when it’s brand new it’s super grippy. More grippy than Jessup, black magic and all those for sure. My main problem was that whenever it got slightly dusty or slightly wet it becomes non functional. Not just a bit slick, just straight up non functional. And the grip did wear away quicker than what I usually ride boards for. But when it is brand new it is definitely really grippy

I didn’t realize, didn’t get too heavy into Jordan’s based on the price but at this point with how some skate shoes are looking 💀💀 Nah there’s so many to not like a solid amount of them, some look big time goofy though but I didn’t wear shoes too much just to wear, it’s all to skate/ will be skated. So basically my non skate shoes for the past 10yrs have become just my “good shoes” or normal shoes.

Yup, the 9th is when I see the dunk is projected to drop, this August. They have the Janoski, Blazers, this, and a Dunk that dropped at once with the exception of the Dunk of course as previously yapped about. They dropped a whole show and clothing line of colors. Safari Olympic electric line or some shit.
And turns out the Black and Clear PS8 is actually set to drop soon too, I thought it had but of course just because it’s been available to buy from random ppl with the access to them doesn’t mean they’re officially dropped as I’m seeing. I thought they dropped and I missed them, they are only $10 less than these or expected to be. So $120 vs $130, highly impractical BUT should come down in pride exponentially in time, only benefit of big brands. *assuming they don’t force scarcity which I don’t think they will with these but of course have with this specific color way, lame as fuck.

@@cyberinsurgent9910 the dunks are dropping on the snkrs app if that’s how it’s spelled, it has it on the Nike website, and yeah I don’t get how non Nike pros get access to these shoes before the drop, I remember the scandal where the CEO of Nike was letting her son get like a 12-20 of limited drop shoes way ahead of time and would sell them on certain websites for limited high demand shoes and they would be going for like 3x-4x the retail price, no one ever got in trouble for it but it’s luck ran out when they fired his mom from Nike, but by then he had and sold hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of shoes, that was his job, majority of shoes you see at sneaker shows came from him, I personally have never owned a pair of dunks but but I always look with intention to possibly, but too be honest I want the basic black/gum or white/gum suede because I wanna skate em not necessarily collect em, so maybe one day soon, but the dunk that matches the PS8 look dope and the black PS8 yeah they haven’t dropped yet and they look dope too

Thanks, but ain’t NO WAY I’d imagine with the way I feel about their anti skater honestly shoe drops. The price is absurd, cuts out most skaters without lasting as long as a shoe for that price outta, and them limiting the supply, be it even if just a color way thing is shitty.

Unless they actually restock and keep them in rotation like ANY other show they WANT to be and don’t do these like the Dunks we’d be fine, because… In no time they will end up being the standard more reasonable prices we see. The fact they go on sale is what’s one of many redeeming aspects of Nike and adidas. It’s more so these particular areas that I take issue. Does adidas have a Dunk equivalent in terms of forced scarcity knowing resellers exist but still not caring for the SKATE market? I instantly got beef with ASICS because they came out the gate doing this shit and damn sure for most their shoes that are lackluster *from the 2 I had. Still not worth it but at least the Aves are a pro models so then get a cut and are filled with tech, even if still not worth the price tag that WILL go down. Plus they have an assortment of shoes that aren’t $110+ as does Nike. Maybe it’s where they’re located or something I’d hope. Anyways this is about Nike right now.

It’s more so these are NEW to the game vs Blazers and Janoskis where I can grab them any point in time because they actually keep a solid supply. I’m hoping maybe these just sold more than then anticipated and they aren’t doing what they do with the dunks. I digress but since these are a NOVEL shoe vs the other they make it’d be nice for the actual skate scene at large to be able to use them for their intended and stated purpose.

I really do appreciate the compliment and feedback to be clear 🤣 I may have looked like I glossed over that tripping over my own nuts to talk about a particular critique I have of Nike and a few brands in general.
I’m likely gonna Heavy rock with these when they become more available even thought sadly this unique color way may not stay in rotation. ESP since it’s Olympic marketing and they may want them to be rare because “sPeciAl” 🤣 Is the SKATE community that the SB is “geared” to towards not special enough 🥺 There is some interesting tech in these no doubt, I can see it being pricey for sure based on that cool, but the overpricing is my thing. These may be worth a higher price tag even if not quite $130.

Good looking, good looking. And at this point I’m personally NOT messing with these longevity wise speaking.
The way they’re skating is up to par so far, but that lace bed is already coming up on the fresh pair, non 100 Kickflips video I did with the black and clear ones I also put out.
For me it’s definitely something to look forward to when they’re not so ridiculously priced. After these Adidas Samba I’m going to hop back to them to get a full on review but it sucked grabbing a whole new pair that I didn’t do 100 in which of course is going to do a lot of damage upfront (I estimate a week based on how much I do them bare minimum so if you don’t do them, you should have a lot more longevity) and having them actually come undone on the lace bed so quick.
That being said, you can always shoo goo and superglue to fix that and wow, not ideal for the price. I paid, often times that lace bed can be coming up, but never fully come up or rip I can’t use it or it’s a problem flopping around or anything weeks in. These samba and SB Pogo have done the same but weeks out just came unstitched higher up the lace bed length wise but haven’t blown out *luckily.
I again for the purpose of reviews do not intervene with superglue which would save a lot more of these shoes anyways. So always remember that of course I don’t have to say and the amount of flips I do vs you if you’re not constantly doing them then you’re probably going to get a lot more out of it than me for sure.

I was thinking about using them as some workout shoes or something, those are notorious for looking goofy in general to the point it’s normalized to look weird and you work to justify it. I am appreciating some of the tech in them hands down, but not to the point of that price tag. They’re even priced like running shoes which actually easily hit $160 🫠
There’s one that has a pinkish glow to the toe cap that look dope as well. I usually can’t do anything that pink unless it’s *insert immature demonetizable joke.

I haven’t been able to give these a proper run to fully conclude but price wise, affordability, availability, the 808s hands down! And they have a good amount of durability from everything I threw at em. They are super thick and super bulky feeling for me at first and took a minute to break in, but they hit hard for anyone that prefers that type of shoe. The lack of board feel is annoying though. I wonder if the suede versions will be better in terms of being more broken in.
They are a unit of a shoe. The fact you can get them and for around $60 gives it the crown for now. By the time the PS8 drop again you mayyyyy have been able to grab the Tiagos and skate them and then try out the PS8 down the road.
I need to tap back in with them, I want to grab the 1010’s, never skated those ones.
