Nike SB PS8 (Problem Solver) Shoe Review (Cry Session)🥲

- The Nike SB PS8 or Problem Solver 8...I was not amused...I was not a happy camper based on the price for these shoes as well as the HYPE around them. In fact now I'm running with anti hype...I don't see myself revisiting these even at a later date based on the personal preferences I have and with what seems to be some objective downfalls of the shoe even at a discounted price. (Maybe if they finally get a hit color way that doesn't look virtually the same and isn't a limited batch.)
The Nike PS8 safari olympic one super grew one me color scheme wise. of course that was a limited run so there's very few color options. The ones I skated in the video however, the black and clear ones do not look bad so that's a plus and HOLY RAMBLE..
I did lots of skating in these from the park to the street and got a chance to put in some work. It is a aggravating shoe for me to skate so if anything mayyyybe I would do a impact exclusive video and do something more comprehensive but so far so good, it's passing the low low bar and seems to sit average if not slightly above for the things I've been going off of. Usually when skating the little things I do, there are some shoes that start to have issues so the fact these did not means it's at least not bad, and going to serve most who skate moderately and or know how to land just right. *As in when I can I'm tucking and rolling so I'm not always stomping my feet or landing straight on my feet which can change how you feel things if doing prolonged jumping. The way I see it is if I don't have issues at all with flat; shoes that do that are easily below average and thus bad off anything, then it's good to go, and if it's again meeting the bar I earlier yapped about I know it's good for mid range stuff. *How long can change that and of course anything higher and especially if higher and for long periods of time. Regardless I always say if you jump then pad up like you always do, and if you don't then...oof. Now I'd imagine those that do already do this and know better so if you got the insoles then use them, why not. The flick of the shoes was proper I must say the first 2 days or so as was the really noticeable comfort but that then kind of wained and things were very much Meh... They lasted me some time overall but at 2 weeks and at the rate they are going I likely would only get 3 total and that's super pushing it and not worth the HEFTY price tag. I didn't even do 100 kickflips in this pair and still seen so much damage within the 2 day on the lace bed housing. That toe cap just isn't going to last, the rubber seems to be cool but the leather toe cap was not hitting so much for me. I did have an interesting wear pattern on these and most my damage was at the tip of the shoe, it HAS to be all the kickflip variations... somebody needs to RELAX!
NIKES DESCRIPTION:
Designed to put in the work out of the box, the PS8 delivers with a 3-pronged approach.
Starting with a layered Flyknit construction with leather in high-wear areas, it offers a broken-in feel that retains its shape session after session. An updated Flyplate is integrated into the sole, providing a responsive feel that works in tandem with the HART (High Abrasion Rubber Tech) outsole. HART uses less rubber to helps make the outsole lighter and more flexible. The PS8 wraps it all in a low-top silhouette with Nike Running aesthetics, heritage pattern and all the technical details that matter.
Benefits
• HART outsole uses less rubber compound than our other XDR rubber technologies-without sacrificing durability and abrasion resistance.
• Updated Flyplate creates longevity in the foam and performs like it's fresh out of the box.
• Snappy and responsive, Air Zoom cushioning helps provide a quick-off-the-ground sensation.

I have not ever heard of the first 7 Nike sb "problem solvers"... but now we have the ps8.. hmm. By the way, sick skating you got good pop... You should also try Last Resort AB out maybe if you find on sale like i did. I just started skating VM004 - Im normally skating vulc vans, and these are so so nice way better.
Thanks, damn shoes cost a fortune. And they just came with a black/ white and now navy green color way that both look quite delicious but I know the shoes ain’t sh*t 🤣🤣 Maybe when they’re discounted I’ll grab another and maybe one of those two colors which may take longer at this point since they just dropped. Right now I see them for $99, the older models, pst that’s not a sale to my ass.
I JUST uploaded the Last Resrot VM004 shoes as a matter of fact. First time with the brand. I did a 100 Kickflip video, lots of hoe-tapping and board tapping.
I’m gonna do a first impressions video next. It’s been 4 days of actual skating in them. I’m concerned about the longevity but am loving the way it skates so far. Def a sale shoe tho, $90 bucks is insanity. I got mine for $40 so that’s beyond a great deal. Better than the PS8 for me so far 🤣🤣
I just don’t like how most of them look nor low cut shoes on a personal level. That being said all the VMs are my speed low cut aside. Those toe caps are PHENOMENAL in their build.
I’m looking to grab a couple more Last Resort’s, regardless I’m down for some reviews and to the extent I care it is skater owned so that’s a major plus.
I’m a happy camper so far with them. I took too long to get around to skating the brand.
I bought an Ishod Air Max and it didn't last a week and the whole toe box split open, so now I wear Vans Slip On and Wayvee
My first pair of Ishod 2s blew out quick too on my second pair I used loctite on the seams and it’s been holding up really well
Not surprised, my exp with the air max was almost instantly down hill the millisecond I felt the ground off the curb RIGHT out the box doing 100 Kickflips lmao. I’m gonna run them again for a full review and buy another and… likely be let the hell down. At least for me mine didn’t rip as yours did, that’s all bad. Slip ons are crazy tho, they murder my feet and are so low if I’m thinking the same ones, unless they revamped those too with the POPCUSH etc etc when they relaunched their skate checkered line years back. Now the Wayvee, I’ve been feening to try those out, they look SUPER promising and durable since I’m too chicken shit to skate the slip ons. They might be my favorite if they match how they look. I’m glad your reminded me and vouched for them 👊🏾 plus the Ishods are SUPER skinny, I don’t even have wide feet and that shit had me tilted🤣
I’m glad to see someone rocking vans, it’s rare I see any appreciation for them in the wild, it’s always people dogging them. I got my issues but that’s with pairs as with every brand, but I don’t often throw the whole damn brand away 🤣 *Cough cough ASICS (so far)
So is it safe to say the 1st Ishod Pro Model was better?
@ i like the 2s they skate the best out the box, they’re not very durable because Nike doesn’t glue between the overlaying materials before sewing the seams together. I don’t like skating the ishod ones too low, very narrow and the material wore down fast imo
EASILY for me! Sorry I don’t get follow up responses unless I FILTER for “responses with new replies” and I don’t have drop down notifications on my phone so only get notifications when in the app. I get the first raw reply someone makes, but no new ones NOR do I get anyone commenting under the OG posters comment unless again I actively filter.
The only Nike I've used that worked was the Blazer GT low
I’m fond of the Blazers myself, still I cry because it goes back to the whole low cut thing which to be fair I forget the moment I skate 5 mins. Solid ass toe cap and flick to them I will say. I’m liking the Malor so far but they may not last me🤣 I will say I love the Pogo Plus right now but only the Sky Brown color and they’re more or less like some Blazers with a normal collar height. More or less.
Take into consideration that Nike's Blazers, just like The Dunks, are centuries old models.
Meanwhile, new stuff like this and The Wairmaxes can't hold a candle to them.
Exactly, the GT Blazers are promising as hell, the Mid ones I got that aren’t GTs to my knowledge are lackluster for some mids and lacking internal padding. I heard the OG dunks were so much better, I didn’t skate them then to be able to speak to that, but it’s a common Trend with shoes in general to degrade the once phenomenal standard they use to once come with to pinch pennies and make a killing.
I've never had a good experience with clear rubber outsoles. Something about the formula they use doesn't grip as well as other rubber.
Thannnnnk you, I thought I was schizo posting in my car and creating patterns in a take u didn’t post and settled with the mess I did here rambling. Hell maybe I still am.
But the Footprint DS3 or something, the Decenzo’s that are red and clear did the same damn thing! I was ranting in my car not able to grasp what it may be since I know Nike here is using a tech specific rubber as is FP so they aren’t the same so maybe it’s more than just it being clear, but nah, both them hoes all the same have the same outcome of not gripping and maintaining that grip even when it’s not worn down at all to make it make sense. I’ve always wanted to do clear outsole shoes but now I’m scared 🤣 It’s just too soft and lacking form or something. Now I’m schizo typing…
The irony of the fact that good shoes often come with their laces falling short in length. Meanwhile, garbage like this gets to have all the length on their shoelaces.
Tytyty wtf😂😂
synthetic woven shoes are dope but that MSRP is outta pocket. these shoes are cheaper to produce and lighter to ship. nike wylin
Wouldn’t be surprised, it’s always like that 🤣 Hell, and here I thought it was just a timing marketing colorway thing but nah, these are just MRSP’d on some Bulllllll.
The first was a limited colorway, the first drop of the shoe, and during the Olympics, with the Olympic Safari specific markings so I was hoping that’s why it was $120. Then again look at Asicis and Vans💀💀 I’m surprised Nike doesn’t have more shoes priced the same on some Bs. Some adidas are wild af too. I hope this doesn’t become the norm in anyway. So far it’s just a few outliers.
More like problem causer
Straight up, lil Gup is what these said to me. I was sailing high the first few days until my whole world came crashing down into a fiery storm of hell as the gates of Dante’s inferno’s Urinal pissed scorched fire upon me. Translation, there’s is not translating that.
Hopefully they serve others right but I hadn’t seen any longer term reviews on these I don’t think even after I lagged all this time to getting back to skating them the 2 weeks I did. Regardless I can say it’s never worth $120
