It has a ton of impact protection, how can you just gloss over the fact that its an air max shoe as if its nothing? Its the entire marketing of the shoe. Im getting tired of his reviews....

I don't like that shoe at all! If you roll your ankle in those, your session is over. Too rigid outsole and tall footbed with firm sides and outsoles. I love these new nikes that feel like a vulc shoe with a deep footbed. The two look alike but don't compare. I got a deal on them and rolled my ankle first day. Today, after a good 2hr sesh in another shoe. Trying to figure out if my cuboid bone is broken or what now...I feared the shoe would be bad in a rolled ankle situation, but it was way worse. So that's my opinion. YMMV. Here are some statistics about the chances of cuboid injuries; The prevalence of cuboid injuries in the United States is not clear; however, it has been diagnosed in 6.7% of patients with inversion ankle sprains (when the ankle rolls outward and the foot rolls inward). Approximately 4% of athletes who report foot injuries have symptoms from the cuboid bone. Cuboid syndrome is found in about 17% of professional ballet dancers. It can occur from trauma or without any recalled injury. Physical therapists design individualized treatment programs to help people with cuboid syndrome reduce their pain, regain lost strength and movement, and get back to their normal lives
I don't think they're trash (I pair them with a gundam shirt because of the silver/white/beige colorway), but at the very least I would not recommend them to a beginner, and I wouldn't recommend them to a pro either. So uhh..idk. Performance fail (too rigid sides) means a part of your body is the sacrificial link in the chain, the ankle and foot injuries I got in them sounds like horrible odds coming form my perspective. I also packed an extra thin insole because the one already in it is thin. No difference at all. Sides won't fold over while the sole is planted, everything just tips over. I can't understand who needs that because it's dangerous, but I do acknowledge if you land primo on these your board will too feel the punishment it deserves. You could probably break it lengthwise like that lol. A mid or high top version might benefit from more ankle stability.

The insole is not thin...it's the insole and midsole combined and it doesn't pack out with impact. Feels great to me
