How to Overcome Mental Blocks | Gymnastics Mental Block
Mental blocks in gymnastics can be incredibly challenging to overcome, often stemming from fear, anxiety, or a lack of confidence. They can create a significant barrier to progress, as they prevent gymnasts from executing skills they are physically capable of performing. These blocks can be frustrating and debilitating, affecting not only performance but also the joy of the sport. However, these tips I have provided offer effective strategies to help you navigate and dismantle these barriers. By incorporating mental training techniques such as visualization, relaxation exercises, and focus-enhancing strategies, you can gradually build the mental resilience needed to conquer your fears. Each one of these drills play a unique roll in gymnastics which is why I love this circuit so much. Gymnastics drills are essential for developing the core skills required in the sport, including strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. This is the easiest way to sew a scrunchie! I have been sewing for a really long time and have found that this is the best way to sew a scrunchie. Overall the steps are easier and I personally like the look of the scrunchie when sewn this way. 1. Cut out fabric that is 22 inches by 4-4 1/2 inches. 2. Cut elastic 9 inches and tie ends together. 3. Sew the fabric ends together with right sides to...

    i have a tip too as i’ve been looking as comments!! pull your feet all the way to the bar and then really put your hips up!! this will also be easier based on how power full or far you glide swing is!! your glide swing has to be very hard with your hips pulled toward the sky!!

    Hi! I have a question. Am I also supposed to use elastic for the back and arm wholes? I finished the Leo and the whole back was very loose. Thank you! Your videos are so helpful!

    • @coach_christa
      @coach_christa 7 дней назад

      There are be a few solutions to this: 1. You can adjust your pattern so that the back is not so wide 2. Pull the binding a little more when sewing. The binding is was acts as the elastic. 3. You can add elastic. I use to have elastic on just the back but then realized if I pulled the binding enough it works. You would just add the elastic to the inside before you do the binding.

    Thank you very much for such a detailed lesson! It was very useful for me. But I have a few questions: What threads should I use for sewing? I saw that store-bought leotards only sewed with elastic threads, like "wooly nylon". But I'm not sure if it can be used in needles too and not only in loopers. What width I have to use an elastic ? And last question - if I want to make applications or upper part of leotard with different fabric - how I have to attach parts with each other ? thanks in advance.

    • @coach_christa
      @coach_christa 9 дней назад

      So glad it's helpful! 1. I use wooly nylon thread, but if you're using a serger and coverstitch you can use everyday sewing thread but it just doesn't stretch like the wooly nylon and it's itchy. I put the wooly nylon through all of it and haven't had a problem. Store bough it probably trying to save money because wooly is expensive. 2. I use 3/8" inch (I actually list all the supplies I use in the description 😀) 3.So if you want to make the upper half black and the bottom half pink you will need to adjust your patter (or how you cut your pieces) You would just cut the leotard in half, but add a seam allowance to each side. Then sew the fronts together and then sew the backs together. Then just sew the leotard like normal in this video. I will try and make a video soon, but hopefully that makes sense. Let me know if you have more questions!

      @leostrog88 7 дней назад

      I’m a XL platnium and compete that. And although they are fun there also scary. But the best advice I can give is to do super high double backhand springs until you’re comfortable to do the tuck! And Ik your coach might not let you but it’s worth a shot

    • @coach_christa
      @coach_christa 10 дней назад

      Doing a high back handspring is not going to help you with your mental block. It's MENTAL so you need to work on your mind first. Just like Simone Biles did. She mentally got down to the root of the problem. I made a tiktok going into further details. Hope it helps! www.tiktok.com/@coach_christa/video/7394929532010007854?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc&web_id=7363420747614537247

    Sorry to say but its less and a horse.. a normal level trained horse is around 25k.. and you also need equipment wich all is around another 10k and also clothes and a good helmet and a good safety jacket only that is around 2k. Both are expensive but im saying that the actual gimnasts dont even have to pay for the equipment... only for their lessons and personal clothes... but when horse riding you have to pay for all.. also in horse back riding you need to pay for the lessons and you have to pay around 500 per month only for their food and stall sooo think twice before complaining

    When you buy factory made clothing in small batches like this items will always be individually bagged in plastic to protect against damage and soiling while they're being moved around between departments. I believe there is also requirements for plastic packaging bags to be clearly labelled as hazardous to small children, factories care more about covering their own ass and export licence than fulfilling customer requests.

      Because now days branding is extremely important and my bags show what my brand is and who it is. I have really high competitors and unfortunately the only way to make my company stand out is to adjust every detail of my brand to give the customer and type of vibe and feeling. They are sending too much money for me to just stuff their leotard in a bag that say "to avoid suffocation" don't put this over your mouth and noise lol

    I recently got my kip after a loooong journey and it finally clicked when I stopped thinking of pulling up my pants, but shooting my feet towards the ceiling. It's still the same motion but a different mental picture. And trying a drill helped where you hang on the bar upside down, straddle the bar. Then you keep your back leg in a position where it would be in a kip (toes to bar) and pull the bar along your leg as you would in a kip. Keep at it, you will get there! :)
