It's Time to Get Our Pool Ready for Summer
We are opening our Coleman 52 inch above ground pool for the 5th season and getting our pool ready for summer. Getting the pool cleaned out from winter is a horrible experience, but the enjoyment that my family and I will receive from a small oasis from the summer heat will be well worth it. Bonus is that we get to set up some cool new toys we received from POOLHACKER!
We set up the fountain light from POOLHACKER to add a little more ambiance and fun to the pool. It was surprisingly easy to setup and included all the parts needed to fit our Coleman Above Ground Pool.

I Wish I Had This Before Setting Up My Above Ground Pool!

Poolhacker sent me some FREE stuff! We got a mysterious package in the mail today, and to my surprise, it was some gifts from my friends over at poolhacker.com The Poolhacker liner pad is surprisingly thick and durable and would have been a nice addition to our above ground pool setup. It does a great job of smoothing out the level ground from sharp rocks & debris that might damage your pool, o...
What to Expect Making Black Walnut Syrup
Просмотров 3865 месяцев назад
If you've ever wondered what to expect when making black walnut syrup, I'll take you on a little walk up the hill to our black walnut tree grove where we have tapped a few of our black walnut trees to make some more black walnut syrup. I share some tips that we have learned over the past few years of tapping black walnut trees, as well as some of the things you will want to keep in mind when ma...
It's Time to Tap The Black Walnut Trees Again
Просмотров 845 месяцев назад
A couple years ago, we discovered what trees on our homestead we could tap for syrup, and black walnut trees were among the highest-rated. It just so happens that we have a lot of black walnut trees on the property, and it's time to tap the black walnut trees again! Just before spring, when the temperature is just right, the sap in the black walnut trees will start to run. That's when it's time...

Building a DIY Brooder for 80 Baby Chicks
Thank you for the video, I’ve got to put a lean to on a building and will use your video in every step. You did a super job explaining everything.
I could not figure out how to get my pump to work. After watching your video I saw the tubes were hooked up wrong. Their directions really SUCK! I connected the tubes the way the picture looked and it was wrong. Thanks for your help. Was thinking the pump was broke.
They sell rafter hangers for the ledger board with a bottom that can be angled to the pitch of the roof, although more expensive than just regular hangers.
That was cool
Why won't you put a top on it, will that help?
Omg absolutely brilliant, you just made my day, I'm now going to attempt this 😂
Great idea! Would not of thought that would work. 👍👍
Music too loud and really off putting.
Did you use all PT?
Great video thank you I have one. I have what covers bottom of the tub looks like a blue speckled inflatable bottom that could be inflated yet ive never seen anybody inflate it on any videos I've watched. Could you help me out with this please? Thank you.
The bottom of ours does not inflate, but when you turn the bubbles on it fills a tube around the bottom with air to make the bubbles.
Nice.
What was the point of this video? You showed how yo cut nothing. So the easiest way to do a birds mouth is use your template? What a waste of time.
Build me that wood piece and I’ll buy it from you. I’ll pay the shipping too!
Came here for information, but I have to say it- you look JUST like Charlie Day! Normally don’t comment stuff like that, but had to say it! Thanks for the information! Very helpful!👍🏻🙏🏻
Personally I think Charlie looks like me. IMO
My hubby tried this today and it worked! He was very skeptical at first but went ahead with making the unique post tool, jacking it up on the t-connections. Our pool looks so much better and is level now. Thank you so much for the great idea and demonstration!!
You’ve got a good man there! Don’t be afraid to do the scary things!
Could do without the music! Otherwise, great idea to fix the pool. Going to try it today.
Be careful… it doesn’t work without the music.
Great video!
I’m new to bee keeping, how long does it take for your bees to calm down? My bees go crazy trying to sting me when I open the top. I’ll never open them up without a suit. Is that normal in the beginning?
It depends on the bees and their stress level. Some bees are just more aggressive than others.
1x2s are wayyyy indequate for any areas with snow. Use 2x4s. Also check with local code for pitch. Flat roofs in snow = no good.
Looks great but dont use an impact driver on those roof screws. Way too tight. Washers will fall apart in a few years.
Will this work to level out a side u need to like put San under it
I am so excited to see this on a Coleman pool! I hard plumbed my daughter’s pool but it took forever to get the right sizes adapters. Had to make a Hayward sand filter work with a Doheny pump. I’ll try to send you a video clip of what I did 😊
I was really surprised how well it worked right out of the box! Post your video and tag me in it. I’d love to see what you were able to do!
Really helpful. I like the way y'all work together. Thanks.
We’re a good team.
Bro. That's genius
I know!! Please tell my wife!
@@HurricaneHomestead lol
Brother, when you paused to mention your wife and the happiness shown when you did was heart warming!
She really does make me happy!
I would have had at least four straps put down & possibly if I knew it was going to be gale force winds I would take the netting down on the sides.
The netting has been a problem. It bent one of the support poles holding the net up in one storm. But the trampoline didn’t budge an inch.
Very informative This changed my life
Where in the business of changing lives here! Thanks for watching.
MATERIALS PRICE LIST PLEASE!! Coworker wants 4 of these and I gotta know the guesstimated clst
It’s hard to guesstimate with lumber prices fluctuating so much, but I think it cost me $170 for all the lumber and hardware last year.
I used 4 48” 2x4 and 3 pavers. one board and paver on each pole next to the one I’m adjusting. 2 boards on the one I’m lifting with alternating with a rubber mallet to slowly raise the height and not strain the pool in only one location
Sounds like you had a good plan there.
How did you flash against the wall? Building something similar.
We have an overhang on the roof above it and since we’re not enclosing it I didn’t see any need for flashing. But it wouldn’t be difficult to add. Just pick up some L flashing and screw it to the wall on top of the metal roofing.
Great ideal
Do you have plans/material list for this picnic table project .. TKS
How high can I prop up one side of the pool before failure/ unsafe? I have a slanted yard and it needs about a foot or more of propping on one side
I did this and fixed my pool THANKS!✌🏽
Do you have the measurement maybe on what you used?
Wow ❤😊
Thank you very much for your help that idea level my pool great tool 👍👍👍👍
I think it would be safer for pool liner to drain pool half or more to take stress off the liner before attempting to level. Waters cheaper than a new liner.
This year i decided to counter sink 12x12x1 inch blocks in the ground level with our pool circle. It did however create a bigger slope on one side as it is a bit low but only in two spots. Since its an adult only pool, yes we have zero kids, we feel confident that this year will be okay but i will have to raise these blocks up about an inch or so. It is slightly off from last year due to natural ground erosion through the off months. I wanted to try this approach but given this liner is on its 4th year and patched all over i cant risk the stress on the liner at this point. Great idea though
I've been thinking about getting one since I saw it on a home shopping channel.
Quick question. Great help and thanks for this solution! However, when we were doing this, we had 2 legs move out too far, I'm guessing because of the weight of water and were not able to push them inward. How am i gonna be able to fix that problem? Any ideas?Anybody?
Your dog is so cute he’s like ok let’s go when you got in the truck lol😂
did the metal ring bend?
Thank you very much for your video. When you took the slip clutch apart did it look like it would slip both counterclockwise and clockwise?
No little brackets were cut those are joist hangers.
I did that with my intex pool and it ripped along the bottom liner , the water flowed out like a river
How much sand did you end up using and does the pump work good?
Love it! :)
We have to be related some how cause I was thinking before watching hummmm how can I use my jack.....I hope I don't destroy anything (most times you are going to if you have to say that lol) a bracket like that is something I would try (idk if the would be the same) all the way down to the I don't wanna lose any of my digits hahaha last year I just made braces for the leg on the side that was 4in off cause they whole dang town slants because we are in a vally......worked pretty well but someone rob my wood an legs over there wenter grrrrr and I don't wanna do it again hahahaha
Great idea, I have the same coleman pool but mine is rectangular and not leveled. I'll give it a shot Cheers
