Why Did I Buy A John Deere and Why Am I Sending It Back?

I just purchased a new Kubota and have been researching tractors. I can tell you why I did NOT buy a John Deere. Right to repair. Since John Deere decided to f-over its equipment owners and to constantly fight them in court to prevent them from repairing their tractors I couldn't justify the purchase. Next week I'm going to be taking delivery of a Kubota L3560 and even if Deere was 10k cheaper (it isn't) I still would have bought ANYTHING other than a Deere. I'm not reassured by their warranty at all since you are literally at their mercy because no one except the dealer can fix it. Weeks of downtime for a $4 microswitch I cannot diagnose because of locked down software... NOPE

Kubota is a good tractor! It was high on our list, but ultimately, they didn't offer the same options, warranty, or support we were able to get from our local John Deere Dealer. Not to mention, the guy didn't have any inventory and didn't really seem all that interested in getting us a tractor that would work for us.
