I’m glad that you were able to fix or however if it was a doll that I was still able to get from the care center and happy to completely replace I would have just done on that. My reasoning for saying this is you don’t want to read the particles of the mold or risk damaging the doll in the process

I haven't gotten a ag doll this bad before, but I've had many barbies that were moldy and I've used bleach to kill the mold on them. Of course it gets watered down some, but I'm highly allergic to mold so i have to make completely sure it's gone😂 your josefina came out beautifully! You did so great on her!

With using those cleaners would you be afraid to touch that doll/have a kid play with it? I’m just thinking through how much those kinds of things can be touched in play/dressing.

Oh my god, is that the replica wig for Kirsten from an online shop (that I am having an absolute brain fart on the name of right now😅)? Oh my god, Maryellen was my first in person doll too! God I got her after Christmas of my final year of college? I can’t remember when the Orlando store opened, but I think it’d been open for a while. But my mom, brother and I had gone to the FL mall where it is for whatever reason and I caved and went in. Was still kind of embarrassed, but was the only time my mom and I went to the AG store together. Now that she’s passed, it’s kind of a special memory, going through the store with my mom, even if I was an adult and not a kid

I remember visiting the AG store in Chicago 2 decades ago and trying to decide between Kit and Nellie (I wanted a short hair doll as I had Josefina). I picked Kit since I didn’t have Samantha. So now I have the Samantha and Nellie mini dolls too.

Can you wash AG clothes in a wash machine on cold?

Maryellen's sledding outfits is 10/10 The bolero jacket of her Meet outfit is the best part 😂. Funny how everyone has different taste. Her accessories are great. You just make me want them so much. ( I just checked and AG doesn't sell ot anymore 😢) The poodle skirt is a bit cliché to be honest. The saddle shoes are great. The skirting outfit is too adorable altogether. Her fancy pink dress is lovely whereas i get goosebumps when i see her Birthday dress. The red/white/blue is a bit too Americana like but a cite dress with the sweater.

Kit's Meet outfit is very much to my liking. That twinset and a floral skirt. AG does love pink outfits sonce little girls do, too. The hat is gold. The Beforever photographer outfit is only so so. They are all cute pieces but forgettable. The assymetrical Christmas dress is also not my favourite but perhaps quite accurate to the era. The bows were very large in the twenties and thirties Her birthday dress was authentic and quite realistic for her considering the times. The sailor pyjamas were so fun. I love all classic sailor outfits.

There are free knitting patterns on the internet and Kit's hat and mittens are cute small projects.(Good for beginners) I like her school outfit. It is very pretty as is her reporter dress. What i really wish i had were her desk lamp and telephone. So perfect for the time and i have her desk and typewriter. I don't habe the camera either, and it is also on my wish list. Really good reproduction.

I am crazy about Nanea's high waisted shorts. Sporty chic for the time. The pink/yellow dress is okay, cute on her as you said but just okay. Her long gown is very well shaped, and the thin fabric helps it drape better, I think. Her grass skirt outfit is great. I always think of Molly's cute Halloween costume but that was becase they were both great. The swimsuit is lovely. The school outfit is perfect, and so are the shoes. The fabric pattern of the school outfit os Hawaiian and subdued at the same time.

I don't think i ever saw Melody's rose gala dress. Super cute.

That highlighter green dress needs a good amount of melanin in the skin. All the girls from Lea to the darkest brown look amazing in it. Not for pale complexions.

Kit in Melody's meet reminds me of an outfit i had in the sixties. I had a short blond bob and a pant/skirt suit in those colours. I loved it then and i think it aged well. It's still adorable. Mine had a floral jacket in those colours, a pleated skirt and a pair of slacks in turquoise.

Speculation videos are my favorite. My daughter has two WellieWishers right now at age 5, and I would say they are a good introduction for her. I think she likes the magical side of their stories, but the older versions of the books and outfits were more realistic and she liked that too. I think it could be fun to see them rebranded as little sisters somehow, since that already seems to be what some collectors do with them in photos! However, when I saw the direction AG went with GOTY 2025 - that does tend to lean more "WellieWisher" to me with the bright colors etc. I saw the Kirsten Collector Doll peek, and I am quite disappointed if it really goes the way it seems like it will. It would have been so much more accessible and exciting to have Kirsten, Joesfina, and Addy's Christmas/Holiday outfits released. I would have snatched them up in a heartbeat- especially Kirsten's in order to get a pristine St. Lucia outfit. The socks and crown always seem to be unraveling or missing pieces in the secondhand market. I will not buy the whole doll just to get the outfit though. I already bought Kirsten in the 2024 release. I love the Janie and Jack outfits with the nods to historical dolls, especially Samantha's dress, locket and hat. I think it is fun, but I SO wish they would release the historical outfits and like you said - give Claudie a holiday dress!!

Thanks for showing your girls they look great. I just dressed some of my girls for Fall. I totally agree we need more new releases for the historical dolls. I do like the new holiday releases and already ordered. I am looking forward to the new Moana doll. I will not be getting another Kirsten doll already have 2

Learned so many things I hadn’t heard about! Wellie wisher rebrand would be cool since I think people seem to like the itty bitty babies as “little sisters” to the 18” dolls and Gwynn tan might have been the test run for that. Never would have guessed Julie’s pjs to come back! There’s so much I want from her! I’d love more rereleases but hope they don’t do exclusively or even mostly that for historicals now - I still want new outfits too! I agree a Kirsten collector doll is disappointing… the birthday outfit sold out for her so there’s clearly demand! Forcing the purchase of a duplicate doll feels shady. That whole “The American Girls Collection” didn’t seem like a one time thing to me but I guess we’ll see!

I love seeing the historical girls in their meet outfits. ❤ I am a big Kirstin fan and actually have two but having said that I do have limited space as well and I try not to have duplicate dolls. I do have two Caroline’s but one was from a thrift haul and I plan to customize her. I wish they would sell her St Lucia outfit separately. I recently put Claudie back in her meet outfit too. I just love her!

Maryellens dress is my least favourite as well. That cheap lace in hospital green, 😅. The cut is par for her time , though. i like Felicity's pink dress and pinner apron a lot. But my love is not really for the colonial era. Too long dresses for young girls. However, that's how they rolled. I love Kit's dress for her as well. Very suitable for her era and situation. It screams depression era. You had me laughing so hard at your Molly comments. Hilarious. I never looked at it that way. 😂 But now i can see it. I bet her mom sewed it for her. Hence the rickrack. Nanea's dress is sooo cute as well. You are one tough judge, but then, I am a sucker for sailor styles. Haha. Isn't Josefina's just gorgeous. One of my all-time top outfits. That camisa!!! Samantha - now i must disagree . it is very, very accurate to her time period - the Edwardian era. Especially in those fabrics. Did you ever read "Anne of Green Gables"? About her big puffy sleeves? 😊. They nailed it. Rebecca's dress is very pretty and i suspect really unrealistic for a young girl - even at 14 or 15. I don't really see it. Kirsten's dress is another dress that rings true for me. Maybe the colour could have been pale blue but the dress was made by her mother again. Perfect. 😜 Reminds me of Little House on the prairie. 💯 Julie is so pretty in her white dress. I at least partly agree with you. It always make me think of Jenny's dress from "Forrest Gump". Totally love it. She was from my time. Melody is adorable. She looks so young and lovely in that great outfit. ❤ Addy's outfit is also perfection, and a classic. And it is brown. So subtle. Caroline's style is Regency so the shape is correct but I was as disappointed as you - cheaply made. I realise that it's a good thing i dont make a video like yours. Mine would pretty much all be A and B toer with the exception of Caroline's and Maryellen's 😂😂😂 You are really good at it and make great videos.

May i just applaud you for such great research and creativity. AG would be lucky to have you. Are you perchance a creative writer? You should write to them. Just make sure they don't steal your ideas. 😊 The great era of archeological digs is a good topic. However, i don't think it should be viewed with modern eyes at all. We should all be thankful that qualified historians and archeologists led these excavations. If it hadn't been for them, many incredible finds may never have been made. What it they had all been lost to civilization due to local conditions of poverty and lack of education at the time. The archeologists at the time thought they were doing good, and so would a young girl have. Now is another story, and many of these items should rightfully go back to their origin.

Its funny that you would accuse Nanea's dress of giving "Sailor Moon" lol. It's actually the other way around, and it's not a weird time period to see that style for a girl. Sailor Moon's outfit is based on Japan's school uniforms, which were an adopted style from western fashion. Sailor style dresses were really common for girls from the late 1800s all the way to the 50s, so it would be right for Nanea's time period. However, it should probably have sleved instead of be sleveless. I do really agree with you about the pineapples being too over the top and the bow being too shiny.

My mom was a little girl in the 50s, and she loves Marryellen's whole wardrobe because she says it feels really authentic to her and is similar to the things she, herself, wore. So, each to their own, I guess, but at least I don't think Marryellen's clothes are inauthentic.

The reason why they don’t have birthday dresses for the newer dolls is because Nanea is the only doll in your line up that did not start out with a 6-book series that was later changed to two books (with some edits to the original versions). They all, except Nanea, had one of those books titled “Happy Birthday …..”. The book covers had an illustration of the historical character in her birthday dress. Selling the birthday dress was a part of the collections related to each book. Nanea started with two books and they don’t mention her birthday. It may have been one last contemplation on the birthday outfits. I do like her outfit. Very 1940’s Hawaii.

Happy birthday to Libras from another Libra! I am an early Josefina collector. I also love her Fiesta Dress! Her original accessories (Heirloom Accessories) includes a necklace, beautiful yellow shawl and black fan that totally top it off. For Kit, she was in a low income time period from the Depression. Children’s clothing was being made from flour sacks. The flour was a used food item. Those that made the flour sacks created patterns on those sacks when they found out they were being used for children’s clothing. Think of her birthday dress as being from a patterned flour sack. Molly was in a time of conservation because of WW2. Her dress could have been home sewn and not store purchased; attributing to less fabric and basic trim. Julie’s dress reminded me of wearing long dresses to school in first grade (1974). The earthy colors were very 70’s.

Fantastic find - Josefina's clothes are in such beautiful muted colours. I love her and have many of her things including jer loom, - but not the two expensive outfits. You were very lucky.

I was born in 84 and I swear I remember my mom putting me in a dress just like Molly’s birthday dress. I remember wearing a lot of dresses with ruffles like that. I don’t recall ever wearing a dress like Samantha’s though, but I totally agree with you it’s giving 80s vibes. BTW~ I loved this ❤❤❤

I was never a fan of Molly’s birthday dress either, because even as a little girl, I didn’t like rick rack. It just looks like something you would put on a homemade pillowcase. I LOL’d at your description and Julie’s BeForever outfit. My first impression of it was that it looks like something you buy last minute when you have a backyard party you forgot about. Like some inoffensive floral dress you won’t wear again until the next party forget about. Melody’s outfit is absolutely the best. Also, maybe your theory is correct because I grew up in the 80s and I loved Samantha’s clothes because they are so poofy and frilly!
