I like seeing the historical clothes on a variety of dolls, not just the doll they were created for. Thanks!

I love how after reading the books, all the special accessories mean so much.

10000% yes!! The books all just made me bond with my dolls so much more. It's so fun to see how creative the company gets with picking which details to incorporate into their real-life accessories.

It was very fun seeing your collection of clothes and your honest reviews. I am also missing a lace for one of Kirstin’s meet shoes. I love Kirstin and her collection. 😊

Thank you! 💖 if you ever find a replacement for her laces that seems like it matches the original, I would love to hear where you find it!

I agree. The Molly skirt seems to have shrunk at some time!

So odd! I wish I had a time machine to stop whoever shrunk it 😅

You may not be reading comments, but I'm bingeing your videos at the moment and you asked Gen Xers about Julie's outfit. I'm a So Cal Valley native who is 1 year younger than Julie. I had straight, long blonde Jan Brady hair until Dorothy Hammil created the Hammil Camel on ice in 1976 and I chopped it all off. But I digress. The shoes -- no we did not have cheap foam soles on our shoes -- ever. Especially for dressy outfits. But the wedge soles (not platforms like these shoes), yes. They woud have been black patent leather like the rest of the sandals. The tights -- yes, we wore tights with sandals -- all the time. Women wore L'eggs pantyhose with reinforced toe with sandals. It was an unfortunate time, style-wise. It brought us gouchos and coulottes. Not to mention toughskins. But GOLD tights? No. No no no no. Those would snag before you walked out the door. Velvet yes. The collar yes. The top of the sandals yes (not practical with tights) with black patent leather wedges (not platforms), and the tights yes, but more likely white to match the blouse. Definitely not gold. I think they were trying to do something Disco but we 10 year olds listened to Disco as that was on the radio, but we just wanted thin gold metal belts, not tack gold tights.

@@sallysimpson10033 thanks so much for sharing this info! I'm guessing the gold tights were more of a reflection of popular trends when the outfit was released in the late 2000s (I remember having some pairs of tights like that) rather than actual 70s fashion! I never made the disco connection, but I totally see it now! But yes, not appropriate for a 9/10 year old to actually GO to a disco 🤣 Love seeing that a lot of these trends have come back into style in the 2020s!
