I collect American Girl dolls and have 94 dolls. I have all the mini dolls and some duplicates of some. I have a lot of the furniture, clothes and accessories. I’m slightly addicted!❤😂
i’m also an american girl collector and i’ve been following kris for a while. this is actually SO cool! it’s been so fun to see our little hobby gain more and more popularity and recognition lately
As a fellow adult doll collector, I loved this! I’m so glad Kris’ family finally accepted his hobby. 😊 Dolls are for everyone. There is no hard and fast rule that dolls are only for little girls. Honestly, it would do some good in the world if more men had played with dolls as kids. Many adults today collect toys, too. I love how it’s gotten more socially acceptable. ❤
I honestly genuinely love how he’s so dedicated and committed to his beautiful doll collection, it’s like me telling myself no I don’t need no more “sharks” but yet sometimes or not I buy them to make me feel happy. When happier, when I make clothes for them. Keep on doing you !
I have a Squishmallow army, & I refuse to calculate the damage lol. So I can't hate the game. Do what makes you happy, there's so much wrong in this world. I'm glad you found something to bring you joy 💖
As a boy who was endlessly bullied for liking Barbie dolls, I'm happy with the progress we've made. At the end of the day these are just heaps of plastic, it's always adults looking for negativity in things. Kids are pure and only find malice in something once adults start scrutinizing it. For instance my biggest draw to Barbie was the hair, I was obssesed with long hair and loved to style and brush it. Now I'm a full grown adult whose pursing a career in hairstyling. Also I can't stress the importance of having a supportive family, I'm so happy that he was blessed with such an amazing family. At the end of the day it's a harmless hobby, pricey? Sure. As long as you're being a responsible adult, paying your bills, having food to eat, and clothes on your back then nothing else matters.💚
I’m also an American girl collector and it’s so nice to see positive things being said about us! It’s often seen as a cringy and childish hobby but I’d say otherwise, it takes so much effort and care to keep these dolls looking clean and nice. I love that Kris was featured by you guys!
I watch Kris's RUclips channel all the time and was not expecting to see him on this channel! I am a doll collector myself so I like to live vicariously through his videos.
@@ajarnt9050She's a "Just Like You" #6! The version Kris has was only avalible for a very short period of time (less than 2 years), before she retired, and when she was released again, she was revamped to look completely different! (Blonde hair, green eyes) She's a very hard doll to come by because of it, due to how short she was avalible for/her uniqueness! Her and Samantha look very different side by side, as that doll has black hair instead of brown! :) Here's a video from his RUclips channel about her + explaining her a bit more! ruclips.net/video/rGdpbe8XGt0/видео.htmlfeature=shared
I watch Kris as a fellow adult collector it’s so funny to see him here! I love watching his channel as well as many other doll collectors, we are not so rare anymore
As an Adult Doll Collector myself... Yessss, I'm totally here for "Kris Kollection" the doll room build out is amazing!!! I LOVE this so much and the support is priceless!!! Tomorrow isn't promised... Life is short buy the doll!!! Live & Love life to the fullest!!! ❤ Blessings!!!
Aw the support in his life from his family is so heartwarming. I collect anime figures, and it started with my brother getting me my first 10 years ago. It was so sweet because I didn't know how he knew which one I wanted till I remembered years prior he deleted some files on the family computer including one with a couple pictures of the figure. It was the first thing he ever got me when he got his first job. So many sweet memories come up when I look at them
I love this so much! I’m an adult AG collector and I love watching his videos! I’m proud of Kris for following his dreams and doing what makes him happy! We need more people like him in this world. Keep it up Kris, we love your collection and videos. 🥰
I know of Kris (also in the AG community) and I am happy to say he is the most socially normal person this show has interviewed. That is a great thing!
That doll he spent 2000 on truly is THAT rare ! I have her as well but I didn’t pay close to that amount as I got super lucky . She was made for only a year lol and no one bought her so they got rid of her.
It’s not that no one bought her... They thought she was too similar to Samantha. Which is kind of weird as GOT#16 looks more like Samantha and they kept her for some reason. Only the POC dolls have black hair in the initial GOT release.
@@ALT-vz3jn she also looked similar to # 4 because of the hair as well so it was easy to miss her . Even thought I know 4 has a different face mold . Either way she still wasn’t super popular from what I seen other collectors say . 16 was my childhood doll 😭so having them both you can definitely see a difference in person
This is so awesome and wholesome ♥️😍 Him, his family, and friends are so great and supportive. I'm a little jealous of that collection. I had some hard times and sold all of my childhood dolls, but I'm slowly starting again from scratch. Now I have a daughter to share this passion with!
This video was sooo wholesome and warming! Kris definitely helped me get back in touch with my inner child and love for AG. I love that his family is so supportive
I collect dolls, and my husband collects physical Switch games and Super Mario memorabilia. I’m glad society is changing and being more accepting of these things, because they’re normal and bring a lot of joy to life in the horrible world we live in now. I’ve been following Kris for a while and he’s a cool guy with an amazing collection, and he worked at American Girl as a doll hairstylist! He’s definitely helped me a lot with restyling American Girl doll hair.
I’m an adult doll and plushie collector. I like to weave in many different hobbies into my doll collecting, such as sewing/crafting, acting, photography, etc. Collectors of dolls, plushies, and toys come in all different ages.
I still have my original Addy doll with a bunch of the accessories and books stored away in a protective container. This doll meant so much more to me than most because my grandmother's name is Addie as well, just spelled differently. She is also the one who gave it to me for Christmas as a child. I am of the age range when the books were out way before they even started making dolls. So, I fell in love with the stories as a child before I ever received a doll at age 11, I believe. For me, it was the first pretty expensive collectible doll that was black that I had ever seen. So, it was $112 back in 1992. That was a lot for a doll for a child back then, plus the book series and accessories! I think that is why I will always try to keep her safely locked away. I remember looking through the catalog and checking off all of the accessories that I wanted. She holds sentimental value that can not be replaced. ❤❤❤❤
I collect American Girl Doll too. I also have our Generation and my life dolls. My doll collection is pretty big but not nearly as big as a lot of RUclipsrs. Thank you for sharing your story. This teaches me anyone can collect dolls. Every age every gender. This is awesome. A real inspiration
I love Kris! As a guy who loves dolls and collects AG, there are not many guys who collect dolls. When I first started collecting as an adult, I was really a self-conscious about what people would think of me, as a guy going into a doll space, one that society really views for little girls. On social media for every like 30 collectors you get one guy who collects dolls. Maybe even less. I’ve only met 3 people who collect dolls that are not women. I love the AG community and what they have done for me as a collector in terms of support and acceptance. Kris was really one of the first guys I saw that collects dolls and definitely breaks the stereotype when it comes to doll collecting. It really helped me come out of my shell and be myself. For that I am grateful!
