Korean Family Adventures
США
Добавлен 7 мар 2020
We are a Korean American family residing in Atlanta, GA. We have 2 biological boys, and 1 adopted baby boy whom we adopted from South Korea in March of 2020. We both immigrated from South Korea when we were both young, but we are a total fusion family of both Korean and American cultures. We are both very fluent in Korean as our parents taught us the language growing up, we love the Korean food, we attend a non-Korean ethnic church, and we have an amazing group of friends. We live a busy life running our private family medical practice, raising our 3 very energetic and sweet boys, and teaching them about Jesus each day... and just trying to navigate life in parenting, marriage, maturing, and trying to get a fuller picture of God each day. We LOVE to TRAVEL, playing music with our children, biking, rollerblading, going to beaches and mountains. Above all, we live each day with such gratitude from the incredible blessings God has poured into our family.

I LOVE YOUR DICIPLINE PLAN. CHILDREN MUST LEARN AT A VERY YIUNG AGE. OR THEY WILL RUN WILD.
Parabéns 👏 👏 👏 PAPAI E MAMÃE PELA ADOÇÃO QYE VOCÊS SEJAM MUITO FELIZES 🎉❤🎉❤🎉 COMBAS CRIANÇAS 🎉❤🎉❤
God bless.❤
THE IMMEDIATE BONDING WITH LEVI'S FATHER. HELPED HIM WITH A DIFFICULT TRANSITION.❤
I LOVE❤ THE SWEET SMILE THAT LEVI GAVE TO MOMMA AS SOON AS HE AWAKENED.❤
IN JUST A COUPLE OF DAYS LEVI WARMED UP TO HIS MOTHER.❤
THIS IS A VERY SWEET CONNECTION LEVI HAS WITH HIS FATHER.
SWEET LEVI DID WELL AFTER THE INITIAL CHANGE. I THINK HE IS A SMART CHILD. WHO WILL REAP THE REWARDS OF HIS FOREVER FAMILY . THERES SO MUCH LOVE HERE. AND WHEN HE GETS HOME TO HIS NEW SIBLINGS HE WILL BE OVERJOYED. I LOVE LEVI FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART❤.
May God bless you family always your such a wonderful and loving family I cried the whole time it was a beautiful and loving adoption my heart went out to his foster mother but you could tell she wanted what was best for him ❤ she was a great mother to him, just as I know you will be a super great family to him as you now have three wonderful and beautiful sons who you love and adore I know God bless your family always ❤ 💙
😊
Dont worry about aging, it will keep comin even if you dont want it this way. I think some of stress is from rearing 3 boys. Levi is Very active boy, maybe more active than your 2 biologicals. He is normal, happy, growing in love, with 2 siblings. You are doin very very good job, looking at good result of 3 kids. Its not about adoption, its about having 3 boys to control. You dont know, levi might turn out your blessing in future. He is bright, loyal. Just dont spoil him, overindulge, discipline him as needed, scold if needed. Just be hqppy with everything, even if you are stressed out.
You are v lucky to get a boy from korea. China adoption is only for girls. Adoption is deep kind act, love is central driving force
This is sick she is such a narcissist she keeps writing about rehoming her child this is sick
Shes a narcissist
They don't keep him they re-home him
How do you know that
If I'm soeaking correctly they don't keep him they end up rehoming him
I think people who adopt and re-home there adoptive child should be charged just like a parent would be for neglect of give bg there child away. This really sucks that he ended up with a family that didn't want him. Why would they go to that extent. Narcissistic!! She is still talking about herself and making videos. It's all about her and probly the comments she got about how generous it was of uer to adopt, all the pat on the backs for being suck an amazing person. People need to stop watching her videos because that's what she wants is attention
What a precious & sweet litte boy and lucky to have young loving parent. Looking a like the adopted parent. Much similarity. God Bless 🙏❤️🙏
He adapt very fast and connected with his adopted parent very fast good boy 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤
You are so Lucky couple and having blessed by God Almighty for adopted such a handsome young boy, there are so many couples out there waiting their opportunity for approval for adoption but most of them are being rejected by the agency Congratulation to you both.😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I trust you are all doing well. Please could you give us an update. Would love to hear how you are all doing. God bless you.
Don't know how you do it. I am sorry but he needs deliverance from the spirit of anger and grief. Check out Isaiah Saldiver etc.
I really appreciate your honestry. How is he doing now?❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I guess you removed your instagram account?
I can't find her instagram anymore. Is Levi okay?
How do your kids know korean when they grew up in the USA the older boys
Whenever a Baby as young as Levi was and has such a big appetite, This is just for random . . .I would have taken him to a Doctor to check for parasites. If you are eating raw sea foods especially Sushi, the Mom says that on occasions they will eat fish. Not quite sure what type, but if it is Sushi by any chance, it would've been a good idea to get him checked for Parasites.
Lindo bebé!!!! ❤❤❤
Why dont they say theyll come back to see or something.
Korean-Canadian here. Although I was not adopted I am fascinated by Korean adoption stories. This is the first I have seen of a foreign adoption from a Korean couple. What a wonderful story. I had know idea there was a demand for domestic adoption of girls. I have no doubt you will do a wonderful job raising Levi.
Only Jesus can rewire a brain. The Master Physician, Psychologist. Rely on Him day to day for everything
I hope Levi is ok
She replied to a comment 10 months ago where she said levi is diagnosed with autism in some parts and levis is still with them its been hard for them
PARABÉNS 👏 👏 PAPAI E MAMÃE PELA ADOÇÃO...❤ QUE DEUS ABENÇOE A TODOS VOCÊS QUE VOCÊS SEJAM MUITO MUITO FELIZES 🎉❤🎉❤...
She hasn’t bonded with him. She’s not good with him. I wonder what happened to him. For goodness sake he’s a baby .
I wish I knew what happened to Levi, the mother never seemed to bond with him.
I wish I knew what happened to levi
I’m wondering how you guys doing now, maybe can we see everyone updates
Esther❤Thank you for explaining the stages of grief! I have never adopted internationally, but I am a trained social worker who worked at a grieving and trauma center for children who had either lost a parent or a sibling, or some combination of both. Grieving does have stages! And it does take a long time! What people need to know about children grieving is that they usually express their emotions in the ways children do. Like anger = screaming, tantrums, destructive behaviors. The key is to help them grieve, while also teaching them that some behaviors are not okay. 😢❤
Our friends who adopted a little girl from Ethiopia, after they had 3 biological children, also kept the name her birth mom had given her as her legal middle name. So the name they gave her first, her middle name is her name at birth, then their last name. ❤ For the first 8-9 months mommy and daddy called her by her Ethiopian name, while her siblings (all 4 kids under 5) called her the English name. After she had been in the 🇺🇸 for around 8-10 months and understood more English, she started asking certain people (Aunties and Uncles) to use her “English” name. But she wanted her mommy and daddy to call her by her Ethiopian name until she had been with them around 15 months. ❤
❤Wow! How you just assumed he would be reunited with his birth mom and birth family❤ Esther, I have always thought you were amazing, but to acknowledge that is just … beyond words! God Bless You❤❤❤❤
I love how the boys are learning by example from David that “boys/men” should do household chores too! I think this is more common in some countries in Europe. We are from the 🇺🇸 and my husband and I live here. But our adopted daughter and her husband and our 3 grandchildren live in Germany. Papa (Daddy) has always been very involved in child care ~ he would never call taking care of his kids “babysitting”! But then again, Germany is much more “family friendly” with BOTH parents given 6 weeks pad leave after a new child enters their family (including adoption)! They are guaranteed at least 6 weeks paid leave each year for vacations.
David’s mother was SOOOO awesome and understanding about Levi being so upset and scared of her😢❤. Of course she knows that every Grandma’s super power is yummy food🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
I am so tired of seeing nasty comments from people! Especially about the closeness in age between Ezra and Levi! Have they ever adopted a child?! Especially an international adoption?! It is complicated, expensive and the child’s age is often undetermined. I have friends who adopted their 4th child from Ethiopia, after 3 biological children. Eventually, after almost a year in the 🇺🇸 they determined she was actually at least 12 months older than the orphanage had originally thought, due to her severe malnutrition when she entered their care! So she and their youngest were only 4 months apart! I also know A LOT of people who have biological children that are less than 12 months apart!! Should they have left the second one at the hospital to appease the child at home?! Prayers to Esther, David and their extended families❣️🙏🇰🇷🧎♂️➡️❤🧎➡️🇺🇸🛐❣️
I am watching this in August 2024, so when you are so hopeful about the Coronavirus being over quickly I just want to cry😢😢😢. I am sooooo thankful you were able to go to Korea and bring Levi home! 🛫🇰🇷😷🚗👦🏻🧑🧑🧒🛫🇺🇸❤❤❤❤
I absolutely love how much Esther’s parents interact with all three of their grandsons! And I really admire how Esther seeks to look for Blessings, even among the difficult situations!! 🙏🙏🏽🧎♂️➡️🧎♀️➡️🧎➡️🛐❤❤❤
Absolutely awesome with the no TV! I live in the 🇺🇸, but my 3 granddaughters live in Germany with their parents. They are now 8 years, 6 years and 3 years. They don’t own a TV, the girls sometimes watch nature videos from RUclips on the computer but that is all. Of course Nana & Grandpa (us here in the🇺🇸) make sure to buy lots of blocks, Playmobil sets, books! Lots of books! And they spend a lot of time in nature. They are very fortunate because Germany is much more supportive of parents and families. After each baby is born BOTH parents are given 6 weeks of paid leave that they can take any time during the first year, and a midwife comes to the home for the first 10 days after baby is home. She checks babies weight, sees how feeding is going, just is a reassuring presence. And children are very seldom left home with a babysitter because restaurants are family friendly. The paid vacation time is very generous too, guaranteed minimum of 6 weeks per year. And yes, they pay a flat 35% tax on wages, but then everything in their life is covered! Health, dental, childcare, school. The idea that parents in the 🇺🇸 have to decide if they can afford to take their child to a doctor when they are sick is just plain confusing for them!❤
I can’t possibly imagine how hard Levi’s grieving period was for both of you, Esther and David❣️ But knowing other families who have been blessed with adopting internationally, Levi was VERY lucky to have been living with a foster Mother (and her family)!! So many orphans do not have that kind of love, attention and stability! I truly believe that it was because of her love, and the grace of God, that Levi was so on track with his development. It broke my heart when the foster Mommy kept saying over, and over, and over, again and AGAIN: “Please love him!” “Please promise me you will take good care of him!” 💔 I hope there was some way you could send a letter and pictures to her through the adoption agency?! Or maybe have the agency tell her about these videos? I know that Levi was her 11th foster child, so her saying that to you makes me wonder if she had bad experiences in the past? ❤❤❤
I can’t imagine how hard it was for Esther to have Levi bond with David first! But that is NOT unusual in international adoptions! My friends who adopted a little girl from Ethiopia (when their three biological kids were 4 years, 3 years and 18 months), went through the same type of adjustment! Their new daughter “M” clung to Daddy, but actually screamed when Mommy tried to hold her! “M” had been in an orphanage for almost a year with the same 2 female caregivers who each worked 12 hour shifts. It was wonderful “M” had that stability, but it created a dilemma for her poor little heart after she left them. But both her forever parents did a lot of attachment work and the bond was forged with both. ❤
I’m watching all your videos for the first time in August 2024 and I am so glad I was able to find the Playlist so I can watch them in order❣️ I really love how you chose to adopt, even though you have biological children! I really wish more Christians would consider adopting. I have dear friends who adopted a little girl from Ethiopia, while having 3 biological children ~ ages 4 years, 3 years and 18 months when they brought home their baby sister! Yes, 5 under 5! And I know it is a long and expensive process, they did a lot of fundraising with selling t-shirts, bake sales, hosting community picnics, to raise the money they needed. Ethiopia’s adoption laws at that time (2009) were really different than South Korea. They only had to travel there once, but they had to stay for 14 days! The older kids stayed with an auntie and uncle who had a 2 kids of their own, both in high school, so they had a wonderful time with them! God Bless you!❤
