Gave a video like. Had to rewatch this one. Great video, John. I like how you said most of all, I like vintage because its nostalgic for me. The first non-common players I had in my collection were Pete Rose and Willie Stargell cards my grandma grabbed for me, even though their careers had ended a few years before I started collecting in 1990. I kept that appreciation for players who played before I began watching sports the rest of my life. Feeds into my appreciation of history as well. Thanks for sharing, John.

3:25 Pre WW2, China was made up of multiple tribes and different people spoke different languages - think of the word "China/Chinese" as the way you think of the word "Europe/European". At the beginning of WW2, Japan attacked China's capital then, Nanjing. China never agreed to the world war. The Japanese was ruthless killing everyone, including raping and killing women and children - this is called the Nanjing Massacre. The scattered people of China came together and prevented Japan takeover. Japan was having such a hard time with China that they spread their army thin and couldn't defend their own country when the US marched over to their islands. Americans took all the credit in history that they alone defeated Japan, but in reality, China played a huge part in that victory. Anyway, still to today, Chinese and Japanese hate each other. Japan don't teach the Nanjing Massacre in their public schools. I think there was some sort of Japan public acknowledgment and apology for the Nanjing war crime recently - but even so, it was way overdue. When WW3 comes around, you can bet China is going to get Japan back hard.

Great cards and shout outs! Awesome Lazzeri! I noticed on stamps that I've sent in, if they were soaked out of a stamp album with no glue on back, they get a 2 for a grade. Still look great though.

Love those diamond stars! I have 1 and at one time I had about 20 of them when I was planning to build the set. That ended up falling off as I changed my mind on building sets. Lol

Hi John. Nice cards. Do not crack that one bazooka out or SGC will regrade it. If you submit with just that top slightly off, they won’t regrade it (just recase)
