The trail is poorly marked because the albino cannibals keep taking down the marks to confuse hikers. They live in the little house with no windows right down from the covered bridge. Your lucky you made it out OK just before dark.
I'm so glad I found your channel this weekend. I live in Bethlehem, PA and love that most of these locations are within a day's drive. At my age I don't do much hiking, but my wife and I will be looking for some day trips we can take.
Hi Michael Thank you for the comment. It means a lot to me knowing that people like you are enjoying my videos. Please keep watching and let me know about you and your wife's upcoming day trips!😄
A gorgeous hike! Thanks for taking us along!
Hi Deborah, Thank YOU for coming with us!
Hey Jenn, I’m Tim from 27:35 Glad to see your upload and relieved y’all weren’t the ones slaughtering deer near random outdoor fireplaces lol
Hiya Tim! lol....no, I assure you, it wasn't us 🤣 Thanks for watching!
Appears to be what is left of a flanger, A car used to push snow away from the tracks.
@tvmann2106 Hi Tom, Yes, I believe that is correct! Thank you!
yeah i think thiose are coyote tracks. It's funny, i too always thought bears were hibernating this time of year until i saw that video you mentioned. Apparently the dude who shot the bear had his house camera on during the attack and caught the whole thing when the guy came out of the woods( the video is here on youtube) . The bear had been stalking him for awhile because it was so hungry. Scary stuff! Thanks for the video:)
Just the thought of a bear stalking me is scary as @#%*! Yeah, you are probably right about it being a coyote. Everything I read tells me that Coyotes are all over Pennsylvania, but I personally have yet to see one. Thank you for watching, my friend!
Wow I’m from Pa….havent lived there since 70 but visit a lot!! Never knew about most of these places….glad I found you!! Thanks for sharing 👍🏼
Hiya Peggy! I'm glad you're enjoying my videos! PA is full of hidden gems!
Wow, that was a scary walk thru the tunnel! But exciting at the same time! Glad there were no encounters….normal or paranormal 😮. Thanks again for the adventure. 🙂
Hi Deb! Truth be told, halfway through the fear hit me...lol That said, it was an exciting little adventure. Thank you for watching, my friend!
Glad you are doing these videos about Bucks County because this county has such a very long rich history so much more that Peddlers Village and New Hope bar seen
Hi Suzanne; I think I'm slowly falling in love with Bucks County. So much history and so many beautiful scenic locations. Thank you for watching and please check in every now and then. I'll be doing much more in Bucks County!
As soon as you said "baby bigffoot" the BF looked over at me, I always bring up sasquash or the albino cannibals when we are hiking thru the woods. 😂
Hiya Jill! So funnt...lol " albino cannibals" ...I remember a story about them. I seem to think that it had something to do with the church in Bryn Athyn.
@@jennsylvania1633 Its about the albino cannibals of Haycock Mountain, over by Lake Nockamixon, its right off of Top Rock Road there is the trail head. Just be careful in summer when you cant see them because of the foliage, they come from up in the trees and grab you. 😄
@@jillj8665 OMG! - I hiked that trail and made a video. It was summertime and , yeah, it gave me an eerie feeling. Had I known the story, I would have been scared @#$%&@## Here's the link : ruclips.net/video/-eSWfRcAnks/видео.html
@@jennsylvania1633 Haha, yeh its can be a little creepy going up there, last time I was there it had a lot of graffiti on the boulders, I know there was a group that was supposed to clean it up.
@@jillj8665 Aauggh...I hate graffiti on rocks and trees
This was a great snow hiking video. Very pretty Preserve for sure.
Hiya Darcy! I agree, it was a beautiful day for a snow hike! Thanks for watching!
Hi Jenn! Enjoyed your video of the preserve. I’m very familiar with that area. You talk about getting lost there, well ya wouldn’t want to keep walking in a circle all day! But if ya go east ya hit a very private gun club, south is ridge road, north is the ridge valley creek and then the larger Unami, and a walk to the west will put you on camp green lane. So ya can’t get too lost there, but it’s big enough to feel wild. Thanks for the video.
Hi Dale! Well, you never know, I do tend to walk around in circles quite often...lol Kidding of course. Yeah, you are correct. One can only get so lost there. Thank you for watching. It's very much appreciated!
Really nice walk
Hi Florian, Yes, it felt good getting outdoors again. Thanks for watching, my friend!
Coyote tracks.
Hi John, yeah, that's sort of what I'm think now as well. Thank you!
I love it there! Nice to see what it looks like in the snow
Yeah, it's a pretty cool spot. I'm thinking I will enjoy it way more in the spring and summer. Thanks for watching!
Hi Em’ had a feeling I might find you here 😃. I follow Jenn too!
You don't have to run faster than a bear, you just have to run faster than who you are with.
lol...this is true. : )
Speaking of the Trolley Barn, I have a DVD on the old Liberty Bell Trolley line, a historical look at this trolley system. Contact me if you want to watch it
Hi Mark, That sounds really interesting. I've thought about trying to do a series that follows the old trolly line. So yeah, I would very much like to see it. If you could email me sometime, that would be great!
jennsylvaniastation@gmail.com
Going to agree with you here in centeral pa jersey shore area i think we got maybe 4" this year and not much more last year definitely not like when we were kids growing up
right? I can remember years where we have several snowstorms that would drop 6 to 12 inches of snow. Anyway, I should probably watch out for what I wish for. : )
Awsome place. Awe poor deer. I cant wait fer you to go back in the spring and explore it better when its safe. Are those tracks coywolves. I dont know but be careful. Take care jen 😊❤
Hiya Holly! I hope that you are doing well, my friend. I doubt it. I don't believe we have any wolves or coywolves in Southeastern PA, but not sure. Yeah, this place isn't far from where I live, so I'll absolutely be back again soon. Thank you for watching!
Thanks Jen I didn’t know about this trail. At the north end of the lake near the youth hostel are the mysterious Rosicrucian pyramids..check it out..great job
Hi Larry, Yes, I've seen them from the road. I sooooo want to do a video there. It's church property and not so sure they would be okay with it.
Thanks for the vid you guys are a funny couple make me laugh. A small handbook on scatt and tracks can help identify prints. Seeing bear a this time of the year , there's probably something not right with the bear. Like the one in Jim Thorpe it had rabies always good to be armed in the woods thanks again
Hiya KK Yeah, I like the idea of having a small handbook with me on these adventures. One to identify trees, plants and mushrooms would probably be a good idea as well. I'm glad that we amuse you...lol... we do have fun with each other and I think it comes across in the videos. Thank you for watching!
Great video! I think those things on the tree are a type of mushroom called a poly pore mushroom.
Hi Eileen! Thanks for sharing your knowledge on the mushrooms! Always nice to learn from comments. Are they edible?
@@jennsylvania1633 Hi, I'm not sure if I'm correct. I was guessing by how it looks, I'm no expert. I do photography, I saw something like it and did an image search that's what came up. I wouldn't eat it just in case.
@eileenkirsch6790 .always best not to eat an unknown 🍄 ...lol Thank you 😊
@@jennsylvania1633
Most likely coyote's, took down the deer. Bears are hibernating. carcass and remains will feed many in the forest. Happy New year, did see you last week in Perkasie train tunnel. Been in tunnel several times. My Dad lived just blocks away, and we walked there several times. Four years last Friday since his passing. Have not been back to Perkasie since. Thanks for your great adventures and sharing info. Stay safe, always enjoying Marc
Hi Marc! Yeah, I'm thinking that the coyote makes more sense than a bear taking down the dear. That tunnel was soooo scary! Thanks for sharing your memory you have with your father and the tunnel. It sounds like the two of you had a wonderful relationship. I'm sorry he's no longer with you. As always, thank you for watching as well as for your kind words.
@@jennsylvania1633 Thanks Jennnnnnnnnnnnn My Dad and I had our moments, the best part is that he inspired me to be adventurous, travel and try new things. I thinks that's why I like your adventures. getting out and exploring. Thats how we learn and grow. And I have so much family history in Bucks and Lehigh County I love seeing you exploring the area. Thanks for your acknowledgement. Enjoy your weekend.
Jenn, those big rocks may well be diabase rocks from an ancient volcanic dike which originated in Pallisades NY and is from the same dike that forms Devils Den in Gettysburg!😮
Hi Craig, You seem to be quite knowledgeable about rocks. Makes sense to me. One day I want to check out Devil's Den. Maybe in the spring. Thank you for watching, my friend!
Gettysburg made my ears perk up! I love it there and make it down about 3 times a year. And I still have not seen everything to see!
I am so happy that you found the ruins! I walked right by them enjoying nature when Mrs. Lumberjack pointed them out. Like you alluded to, this place is most assuredly a hidden gem! Thanks for sharing and mentioning our channel. You're very kind.
Hiya Lumberjack! I would have never seen them had it not been for the vultures making so much noise. Not a problem. I really enjoy watching you and MrsLumberjacks adventures!
That was neat to see the old stone fireplace still standing. We came across a dead deer a few weeks ago on a hike and it's gruesome, but also kind of fascinating to see how the vultures and other animals will pick it clean for food.
Yeah, right? It's amazing how nature has a way of not wasting anything.
The sound of boots in the snow, unmistakable 😂 Interesting stone walls. If these walls could talk, right?!
Hiya RedRooster! yeah, for whatever reason, it's very calming to listen to footsteps in the snow. Thank you for watching, my friend!
I feel like there must be other dwelling remains close by.
Hi Lana! Yes, I agree. I need to go back sometime. A day in which it's not soooooo cold...lol Thank you for watching!
Hiking here was a pleasant surprise. I feel as though there is so much more to this park and I plan on heading back in the spring!
Renovo is extremely cool, I would love to see original video footage of the Pennsylvania Railroad at Renovo, not too far back but like in the 1960’s or the final few years of steam. Does anyone out know if Emery Gulash, Pentrex or any other, shot any footage on VHS/DVD here at Renovo. Thank you
Looking at the tracks in the snow at 0:44 clearly shows the railroad is NOT abandoned. Practice extreme care! The vertical shaft was for leaving out smoke from steam locomotives. I thought the tunnel has two of these. I believe the other was where that first large ice formation was in the middle of the tracks, and is plugged now.
You are correct. I didn't know they were active at the time. That said, I don't believe they are used often. I only saw the one vent, but you may be right. A second one was probably iced over. Thank you for watching, my friend!
@@jennsylvania1633 yeah, even when I was still living in the area before 2005, train activity was sparse then, maybe once per week. Looking at satellite imagery, looks like the Fres-Co Systems parking lot has been built over the southern vent
The tour guide asked me if I would be able to live there, and I enthusiastically replied, YES! She seemed shocked, and said, really? There are several different tours available, covering different parts of the building, with one that takes you from the basement, to out on the highest tower Neat little fact: If you look closely, you can actually make out the stone farmhouse that the castle was built around.
Good morning! It’s fascinating to think about how the castle grew around the original farmhouse. Thank you for watching, my friend By the way, "ElementofKindness" - I love it!
Really interesting! I'm old enough to remember when there were drive ins just about everywhere. People greatly enjoyed them back in the day. But I wonder, 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘵𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘺? Nowadays, we have large screen TVS, the convenience of having movie clubs and movie channels, the fact that it is so much cheaper to watch at home and that you have can all you can eat treats such as snacks or food at much lower cost, you can pause your viewing when there is an urge to hit the bathroom, and there is no risk of flu contamination when you are safe and comfortable at home. To each their own, of course. But why go to drive in when there's no place like home? Anyways, thanks for sharing this interesting video.
Hi Merc Great points! Drive-ins today are more about the experience than just the movie. Watching under the stars, the fresh air, and the retro charm make it special. It’s also great for families-more relaxed, no worries about noise, and a fun outing. For nostalgia lovers, it’s a way to relive the past. That said, home viewing is super convenient, and I totally get your perspective! In the end, it’s all about personal preference. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts-I really appreciate it! 😊
I enjoy your videos. Just moved to this area. It’s great to see what’s around this area. Will continue to watch. Thanks
Hi Doug I'm glad that you are enjoying the videos! Welcome to the area, my friend!

How you doing I wish all videos had no graffiti your video so far are number one with no graffiti that's awesome
I agree, it's refreshing to see a place without graffiti.
The trolly barn at one point was an antique store about 15 years ago! The building you showed too are in fact apartments! 8 apartments inside the building! I lived in that apartment building as a kid on the second floor! Thinking back now it was cool to live in an old historic building!
Hi Jason! Wow, that's awesome! Thanks for sharing your memories!
I used to work at this place back in 1991 as a welder on the final assembly jig. This building began life as a repair facility for steam locomotives and then transitioned into repairing diesel locomotives. Then a company names ACI bought it and that is who I worked for. We had a govt. contract to fabricate sea sheds which are basically metal containers for cargo ships. I was 25 years old at the time and we worked four 10 hour days. Seeing your video brought back memories for sure!
Something you may want to do a video on is the paddle boat the "Hiawatha", located at Susquehanna Park in Williamsport. It runs on the Susquehanna River, the spring through early fall. It's about a two hour run, but relaxing and enjoyable!
Hi Deborah, I took the ride a few years ago, prior to starting the channel. I agree, it would make for an interesting video. Thank you so much for the suggestion: )
I live local, and attend events there. They have a really nice Christmas market every year, the first weekend in December. My daughter and son in law got married in the event room on the 2nd floor.
Hi Deborah, That's wonderful! I love hearing about the personal connections people have with these places. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
