Hi Holly! Right? That smoke house was so cool. Sort of reminded me of some of the stone structures at Columcille Park Thank you for watching, my friend!
The grounds looked so nice to walk around. Really beautiful buildings and looked like there was lots of signage to explain the history and what each building was. Thanks for the tour.
Hi Sara, Yeah, it's a nice area. I'm glad that I pulled over to check it out. It was well marked with story boards and they pretty much answered all of our questions. If I do go back, I think I'll take the tour. It might be something you and your family would enjoy. Thank you for watching!
At first I thought you were in CT! We have a Historic Cornwall too! Many towns named after those in England. When I hiked through the A.T. in PA there was so much history on the trail alone. Learned a lot about the furnaces and the communities they employed. We have a few furnaces in CT also. The buildings look to be in good shape for their age and the grounds are beautiful! Thanks for taking me along!
Yeah, so many towns and cities up and down the northeast are named after Cities in England, so not surprising that there's an iron furnace in CT with the same name. So, far I've only driven through Connecticut but would like to change that someday. Lots to explore there, I'm sure. Thank you for watching, my friend!
@@redrooster1908 yeah, it does.I'm really enjoying exploring all of these little known historical sites. Thank you for coming along. 😊 it's very much apreciated.
I'm a wanderer too. That smokehouse is so cool looking! PA mountains are riddled with slag: the very pretty but worthless gunkies that came out of these furnaces. I love seeing it though. We have several furnaces here in south central PA in the mountains. Yours are way better looking. We don't have mines. Our Ironmasters Mansion is still fully functional as a hostel to Appalachian Trail hikers. That place is pretty amazing! Ours is nothing fancy. That is really beautiful! That pond is so pretty. That iron furnace is stunning! You'll have to google ours at Pine Grove Furnace or Caledonia to see how different they are! That place is really awesome compared to here! 😂 I love those windows! Great video! What a cool place! 😃💚👊
I think that the Smoke House was my favorite building there. I just googled the Pine Grove Furnace and now I want to explore it! It's more ruins out in the woods, as opposed to a historical site. I prefer the rawer explorations, so It's now on my list! Thank you for watching , my friend.
Hi Daniel, I love the adventure of discovering the past. As you can probably tell, I don't do a lot of research prior to going...I sort of just find what I find and try to figure it out. I'm glad that you find my videos interesting. : )
Very nice place and beautifully maintained property. Don’t ever stop laughing Jen. Your 5’11 and I’m just 5’3. Chris has to give me a boost to look at stuff sometimes lol. Have a wonderful week 🤗
Very cool! It appears to be a much larger complex than at Hopewell Furnace nearer to me. The stonework is reminiscent of Pennhurst, where some of my family worked. Thanks for taking the time to share with us!
Hi Lumberjack! Hopewell Furnace is a place I really want to visit...have you done a video there? If so, I'd like to check it out. I would also like to explore Pennhurst, but I believe that it's off limits. Thanks for watching, my friend!
Eagle Iron Works and Curtin Village I vol at you need to check out sometime. I have a few videso of it from this summer. They celebrated 50th anniversary of tours this yeear. I live right down the road from it.
Keep the suggestions coming, my friend. I'm always looking for interesting spots to explore. Just added Curtin Village to my list! Thank you for watching.
Beautiful grounds and amazing-looking buildings. And that place operated for 139 years, which is incredible.
Yeah, it really is. Not many businesses last that long these days. Thanks for watching, my friend!
The buildings are beautiful ! Thanks for the tour.
Yeah, they knew how to build back in 17 & 1800's
Thank you for watching!
Whoa that gothic building was cool. Awsome places 😊

Wow, 141 years in business, how many companies can make that claim! I can tell you have a quest for the unknown! Another interesting video!...Daniel

@jennsylvania1633 we have been to Hopewell Furnace, but no video as of yet.
@jennsylvania1633 oh and Pennhurst is off-limits except around Halloween. It becomes a haunted attraction.

You must of came up 422w to Lebanon City . ? Oh did you pass Daniel Boone's home ? 😮
I wanted to check out the Daniel Boone homestead but ran out of time. I hope to be back in the area soon.
