Add honey to the list, some found in the pyramids in Egypt 2000+ years later and still edible.

@@eonrider2572 Ah, the original survival food! Looks like the ancient Egyptians knew how to stockpile for the Long Haul. Sweet choice! Here are some other facts about honey: Antibacterial: Honey has been used in ancient medical texts for its antimicrobial properties. Studies have shown that honey can inhibit many types of bacteria, including salmonella, shigella, H. pylori, and E. coli. Wound healing: Honey has been used topically to treat burns and promote wound healing. Cough relief: Honey can be effective in reducing the frequency and severity of coughs. It may be as effective as some over-the-counter cough medicines, and it's a good alternative for children over 1 year of age. Anti-inflammatory: Honey contains flavonoids and polyphenols, which can help reduce inflammation in the body. Antioxidant: Honey contains antioxidants that contribute to its health benefits. Immune system support: Honey may help protect the immune system and enhance the levels of circulating immunoglobulins. Cancer treatment: Honey may have apoptotic properties that make it a possible natural anti-cancer agent. Thanks for sharing. Be safe.

@ topic was canned. I wouldn’t recommend ANY canned foods. Jars are better, even certain plastic containers. Acidic items in cans is a bad mix. Vitamins will take care of needs, all that left is protein and carbs with some fat (peanut butter). One year best for cans, jars much longer.

I’m surprised the view count is low. This is a good general info video on having a variety of supplies for emergencies. The one thing that I’ll point out that you’ve hinted at here but didn’t say in the Honey segment, is that Honey has such good anti-bacterial properties that it can be used in wound care. In this respect , I understand Manuka Honey is best in terms of an anti-bacterial agent. Manuka is expensive, but keeping a wound from becoming infected in an emergency situation makes it worth it. I keep 2 jars of Manuka for this medicinal purpose, and keep separate local raw honey for eating. Cheers. 👍

Buy dry beans, boil them rather than canned beans. You can them yourself rather than buying them.

FInd Jesus. Make him your Savior. Time is running out. All the cans in the world won't help you for what's coming ....

True, but if Jesus ever gets hungry, I’d like to think He’d appreciate a well-stocked pantry too!

I bought cases of canned fish - mackerel, sardines, kippered herring, oysters - during Amazon's Black Friday sale. I literally have months of protein on my storage shelves.

With that much canned fish, you might just be the next contestant on "Survivor: Canned Edition!" Just don’t forget to invite me to the feast! 😉

I totally understand where you're coming from! The prepper community can feel overwhelming at times, but it's all about finding what works best for you and your situation. At this point, I think maybe you should just stockpile a bunker full of ramen noodles and call it a day! 😂
