My uncle and I had done a lot of hiking when I was younger and we always had coffee, hot chocolate, tea and even tang in our backpacks. We also had homemade "gorp", nature valley granola bars and single serve lipton soup, and oatmeal. He was a WWII veteran and I believe that he was teaching me to be prepared for anything. Oh,I almost forgot we also beef jerky . The coffee was single serve Folgers or Maxwell House, the tea was Red Rose and Herbals. Tang was our morning cup of juice and warm up before the coffee/tea and oatmeal. Lipton soup was the mylar bags that came in a box of 4 -6 packets. I still keep a supply of that stuff around.

We’ve been thinking about the survival pantry lately. Never thought about keeping eggs and milk in the pantry. We will now I do keep it well stocked ,but should the survival pantry be available for up to a year or how long?
It's great that you're thinking about your survival pantry! Generally, it's best to aim for items with a shelf life of at least 6 months to a year. Many foods store much longer than that. Fresh eggs can be stored using the water bath method for up to a year or more. Just make sure to rotate your stock and check expiration dates regularly! Thanks for watching the video. I hope it was helpful.
