I like rechargeable flashlights with AAA adapters. I have a crank radio that's also solar powered and rechargeable.
As for maps I have an extra phone with an app called organic maps. I downloaded a map of the united states so I won't need the Internet. If it dies I have two solar power banks (I won't let it die). If my phone breaks I'll use a physical map.

So don't get anything, and then you can take yourself to the FEMA camp and save them the trouble.

Well, if it comes to that, I hope they have good snacks at the FEMA camp!

The Red cross isn't one of those kind of agencies, on the other hand though FEMA is. They're an arm of DHS,and and if you go onto their website and look at their list of what you need to store for SHTF or any other kind of disaster, they've got you. Now you're on their radar and they have all your Information , good luck with keeping them away from your home and supplies. Once you lose your supplies to them you will either starve and die right there or they pack you off to one of their camps, so you can't cause any problems for them and you slowly waste away on what they will feed you.
