crazy that it failed. I have 2015 honda accord ex-l with 285,000 miles, oringal engine and transmission. ive never had any problems with my trans.

What bothers me most about the CVT problem is that Honda does not have new replacements or have parts to rebuild the transmission. What happens when there are no more used ones available? And why would I trust a used one with significant mileage when it is likely to go bad soon?

Mine is stuck in safe mode but I never had a dead battery or replace the battery and the keys were working perfect all of a sudden it is just stuck in safe mode and it only has one code that says lost communication with immobilizer . I'm having trouble finding where the immobilizer unit even is located. I would like to get a new one and install it myself and then tow it to the dealer who said they can program my existing keys to the new mobilizer for $220. Has anyone ever had this problem? Suddenly goes into safe mode for no reason and lost communication with immobilizer. Do you think this would fix it and where is the immobilizer actually located??

How did you manage to remove the supercharger and then pump it up, I mean the supercharger flows coolant inside, did you plug the coolant rubber hose from the supercharger?

My accord hit 200k before the CVT started acting up. I was ignorant at the time and had no idea it needed to be changed every 30k changed the oil and it ran fine.

When replacing an engine on a hybrid vehicle..can I just buy the replacement engine as is? Is it any different to replace and engine on a hybrid vehicle?

It still outlasted most GM transmissions. But the one thing I'm uncertain about with CVT failures is how the car has been driven. I believe maximum longevity can be achieved thru slow and steady acceleration, draining and refilling the fluid every 50,000 miles / 80,000 km, and never, ever, pull a trailer.
