By being in trusted and admired positions of authority in teacher and mentor roles and then using their trust and innocence to plant these ideas that the majority of them need to be questions things which they do not at all need to be worried or stressed about, we are actively causing them harm and distress that they shouldn’t normally have. For what it’s worth, I do think GC public figures, like you, are better served using preferred pronouns. Not using preferred pronouns will make questioners -who might be initially interested in what you have to say-label you a bi got for it. Ray, we don't think of humans (which in your discussion always seems to mean women) as animals because we have conscious choice. Women can choose whether to have children or not (at least prior to Dobbs vs Jackson they could), unlike Bonobos (I suppose). I have an agency that supersedes my biology. I am a person before I am a vehicle for procreation. I am "Le pour soi", I exist before you can define me.

It would seem like a good place to start would be with Simone de Beauvoir (SdB), after all, Le Deuxieme Sexe went into great detail about the biology of reproduction in humans and other species, so let's see what she has to say about it. "Of course [biological differences] play a role, but the importance we accord them, is derived from the social context in which they are situated." In SdB's mind, sex is a social construct. The way we look at body parts cannot be separated from the society in which we exist. That is, there is no objective view of sex, we see it through the cultural lens in which we exist. Language doesn't just define sex, it creates it. No matter where you go in evolutionary history, we use our language and understanding of it to limit and define our understanding of it. Sex doesn't exist independent of language. Anybody that has read Foucault would acknowledge that understanding genitals and their significance is a question of hegemonic power. Judith Butler (JB) basically says, there is no logical necessity between the recognition of bodies and the gender that is imposed on them. Cis-het parents & doctors look at a baby and determine what it's sexed body and gender should be, based on cultural norms and expectations, without any agency on part of the individual. A third party tells you who you should be. After all, we could, if we wanted, simply say that here is a child, with genitals, and raise it without any gendered expectations whatsoever. There's no biological necessity to that, that's cultural hegemony. JB's point is that we construct our idea of the body based on our ideas of determinism (which Ray appears to be a proponent of) vs free will. To whom does my body belong? Does society determine how my body should be, or do I? Does my body determine how society views me, or am I free to be who I want to be? In Ray's mind, if my body developed in the womb with ovaries, even before "I" came into existence, the "I", my essential sense of self is per-determined, even if I don't associate with the expectations of that gender, even if I take testosterone and exist in a male spaces, my self, my ego, will always be determined by some immutable genetic or physical force.

I really hope that other AGPs see your video and are able to be open and honest with who they really are, what they actually want/need to lead a healthy honest life. I saw a LOT of happy 'sissies' who knew who they were, accepted their sexuality and were leading 'regular' lives. Kinks are...to put it gently 'weird' and trying to explain them doesnt always make sense, but each to their own, and as long as its something you and your partner are comfortable with, then more power to you and hopefully you both lead the best, fulfilling lives you can! I searched up, down, and over the hills to try and figure out my sexuality, so i came across a LOT of people with different kinks, whilst trying to define myself. Turned out i was just autistic and thats why i was really struggling to find where i was meant to fit in adult spaces. Congratulations on openly accepting yourself, and good luck in the future.

You're not supposed to be able to walk into a doctor's office with a self-diagnosis and demand treatment. That's insanity. You go to a doctor with symptoms, and the doctor seeks a diagnosis and possible treatment options. That's how medicine works. What these activists want is not medicine to help people, but yes men and enablers to unquestionably validate them. And considering what activists did to people like J Michael Bailey, they've almost totally suppressed the research on transsexualism within the medical community that doesn't fit with pomo queer theory. They've bullied medical professionals to the point where as you said anyone can walk into a Planned Parenthood or gender clinic and get hormones with few or no questions asked. Craziness.

The guy lived as a father and husband before suddenly transitioning and was just accused of the sort of sexual deviancy overwhelmingly committed by men. He might be the most famous AGP out there right now but nobody is talking about that aspect of him.

We're dealing with not standing out in ways that are dangerous. All transwomen I've seen so far take up physical space in ways that women are socialised not to. There is a lot of danger to navigate from ostracism and violence to simply the male sexual gaze. It is hard for women to be outspoken due to being doubted their whole lives. Transwomen's physical and vocal confidence can appear very male to women.

Thank god for this video. Unfairness is in your face as a little girl and hitting my teens was a shocking process of disempowerment and finding out I was prey, ranked by looks and always second. I have not met a trans person or man who understands what it felt like, only biological women so far.
