Getting a bit alarmed at 17:52, which is understandable. It's meant to be a festive movement, but Prokofiev makes it disturbing and suspenseful (Prokofiev being Prokofiev). I love it, but it's definitely unexpected.

Yeah, if you're gonna finally be charmed by Prokofiev, it'll be by this ^^ I gotta confess I'm not the biggest Prokofiev fan either, but Romeo and Juliet - perfection. Bit sad this particular suite didn't include the heartbreaking finale - R&J should always end in tears I think ^^

I love how the dissonant note at 6:01 still makes you smile even though it doesn't really make sense. It works on a non-rational level. Good old Prokofiev...

I've been following you over a month and I gotta say that your content is amazing. For a future video I recommend you the Goldberg Variations of Bach. It's a "long" piece (1h more or less) but I think it's one of the best pieces ever composed for keyboard.

Amazing Amazing, shame they didnt provide the title of the excerpts in this performance it would probably add to your experience. Also from Prokofiev I would recommend listening to excerpts (or the whole thing ideally) from Cinderella (Ashkenazy recording)..absolutely superb and my favorite of his ballets
