EJ25D is the best engine. Turbo Subaru engines don’t work. So of the N/A engines the DOHC EJ25D is boss. Massive torque curve one of the biggest you will see. No it’s not a big number that’s not what I mean. I mean it make’s torque from like 800rpm it’s crazy. And it carries it till 4500rpm that’s a big curve for a weak street car that’s a four cylinder
Can both circuit breaker be used as a killswitch?
Yes, you can disconnect the battery with the circuit breaker, but whether that works for your intended use of a killswitch may or may not be the ideal solution.
It’d be good if you made the difference between ’negative’ and ‘earth’ because you call them both ground. This video did help me heaps though, you really explained things in a way a novice like me can understand. Appreciate it 👍

How can the rear wings hold the insulation properly, if they are formed around the silicon seal? I thought the whole reason of crimping over the insulation sheath was to support the cable from being pulled out of the terminal. Your crimp method means the load and the support is only being held by the front wings, because the silicon seal is not going to hold the cable if it is pulled.
Sealed connectors do not have additional support because the rear wings hold the seal tight and keep moisture out.
The seal crimp should be a circular profile, not a B crimp. Thats what the other nests on that tool are for. This prevents any possible damage to the seal.

Who makes the truck mount seen in your video??
The base for the mount is a one-off part we made, but the main battery holder is made by MeLe Design Firm. That's all you really need for this install.

If I accidentally miswire the connector, will it destroy the alternator? I think I replaced mine and had the far right and far left opposite 😅

Wait a second... What about cars that don't already have wheel speed sensors???
If you need this unit and your vehicle doesn't come with ABS and therefore doesn't have wheel speed sensors, then you would need to swap at least one hub with an ABS unit so that it has a working wheel speed sensor to feed iVSS.

Do you know if this would work with the new WRX
Unfortunately, the 02 sensor setup is different from the new WRX, so this kit is not compatible. However, the newer models have true wideband 02 sensors, so this would not be needed.

Im confused, what do you mean wrx non turbo???
I'm not sure exactly what you are referencing, but the 15+ WRX shares connectors with the standard non-turbo applications, so there may be some confusion as a result of that. The 14 and older WRX uses a 4-pin connector which we refer to as the "turbo trans plug"
Where is the speed sensor located on 2015 Subaru forester transmission?
Automatic transmissions are a bit different than what is being talked about here, but generally, there are 2, and they are located on the bottom side of the transmission.
So this tells me nothing what about non turbo engines

I have bought a Subaru legacy 2.5gt 2009...came with 2 incomplete engines...both is EJ25 block but not the same pistons...how do I know which one will work with the turbo

So if I have a 02 Subaru legacy 2.5 in my Rail Buggy and I have a Aftermarket speedometer, and I buy a 2 wire speed sensor, (since I have the front wheel hubs on the rear,) can I take the white wire and hook it to my speedometer and ground out the black wire? Will I get a accurate reading?
Unfortunately, I do not think that will work, given you are mixing vehicle speed sensor signal types. Your best bet, whether you have a Subaru transmission or non-Subaru, would be to utilize a 3 wire sensor type which the ECU and the aftermarket speedometer most likely can read.

Just replaced my alternator and the clip broke but the connector stayed on I been hitting bumps got home car was on but wouldn’t take gas was pushing got in the drive way mph meter dropped I was going about 20 at the time then car wouldn’t start as I parked

The process would be very much the same. You'll need to remove the front lock to access the tab to lift.

This is the same wiring setup on B5 Audi/VWs with Hitachi MAFs. Inspected the wires and thought something was busted when I saw the extra wire just dangling.

How do you program a 2013 Subaru WRX STI using a Cobb tuner to make the unit fully functional with the wideband signal? How do you get the updated MAP software? I am getting 8mpg and poor power.
This would be dependent on your tuner and your setup. I would reach out to who will tune your car for clarification on how they would get those two features working. You may want to investigate the current issue with the car before adding new parts to make it easier to diagnose.
@@iwiresubaruwiringsolutions5538 I tune the car myself the COBB Accestuner software doesn't have settings that match your unit. You have a list of pressures and voltages but nothing matching that data from COBB.
@@ChetJang The AEM pressure sensor is a standard component for this project. I would be surprised if Cobb didn't have the specifications or if there wasn't a way to put in your own values for the pressure sensor. Can you send us an email to info@iwireusa.com so we can help you sort this out?

What is difference between the 3.5 and 5 bar ?
AEM 3.5 bar map sensor: Supports around 37 psi of boost. AEM 5 bar map sensor: Supports around 58 psi of boost.
Do I need both harnesses?
If you are adding an 01-07 AVCS EJ205/207 engine to a none AVCS car, yes. If you have a complete/uncut JDM AVCS harness to match the engine, you will not need the AVCS Intake Manifold Kit, but you will still need the AVCS Bulkhead Kit.

What does it mean if it I have avcs solenoids on both heads and neither are plugged in
If they are not plugged in, you will not have functioning AVCS.
The grommet to the fender is blocked off by some control module boxes in the VA. There's no room to get a hand in there let alone a knife, hand and eyes.
