Heck of a lot cleaner than buying a MAF extension harness and lopping off one connector and using the one that comes with the AEM IAT sensor like I did 😂. Way to go Brian, I love y’all’s stuff and what y’all do for the Subaru community!
Given the Hybrid SD kit can still use the MAF (depends on tuner) I think the situation would not change in regards to a BOV vs. BPV. I would suggest reaching out to your local tuner for a better answer on when it would be appropriate to use a BPV vs. BOV.
i know this is old, but no you would want a full SD setup for a bov. hybrid ive been told by my tuner will not support a bov still. im SD converted and running a tial q and its great!
Hey how's it going? I have a n/a 3.0R h6(2005 outback), have a Weapon-R intake, hi amp coils, full exhaust(has two front o2's, not either rear o2's). Would the hybrid kit work for me? I'm having troubles with the MAF on my car, little off in the idle, hesitant on takeoff. I already replaced with new denso maf, it helped but still getting a little sputtering. I was wondering if I could use the hybrid kit, install the iac on my air box? I have an on board tuner, I was going to get it tuned @ ecutek this spring/summer, just wanted to get everything done first. Came across this and sounds like a good solution. I'd appreciate it. Thank you for all the vids!
I have a 2011 sti it was tuned at speed density I have the regular MAF connected to a grimmspeed cold air intake, I still get the check engine light for MAF do I need to make a hybrid MAF?
Hi Edgar, thanks for contacting us. There are multiple reasons this check engine light may be on. Please send us an email to info@iwireusa.com so we can help you with troubleshooting.

LOL, I like the creativity though
Good explanation! Just purchased an H6 Outback...
Does that bunt need welded on the top mount?
Yes it does.
Ha ha I'm so impatient for your answer, I just got on to the website and found out thanks y'all
i need a cobb for tune, or can be tune with ecuflash?
thanks
Many options are available. The choice is yours!
do you have to drill a hole and then weld on the bund?
Yes, you will need to drill a hole in the bung of the intercooler so the IAT sensor can read the temp inside the intercooler.
Is the bung included with the kit?
If you purchase it with the sensor, the bung is included
Question: you done anything with the EG-33 motor? Reason I ask, I have a low-mileage one shelved in my garage...
Hi do you’d do a harness merge for jdm v2 wrx?
I’m looking to tap my OEM intercooler the same way you have it. How deep do you need to drill the hole? How do you prep the hole for the intercooler?
We had a shop weld on the bung for us. We'd recommend contacting your local shop and having an expert do the welding.
Would speed density still need a AEM 3.5bar pressure sensor as well as IAT SENSOR?
We would recommend upgrading the sensor to one with better performance (AEM 3.5 bar) but it is not required for a speed density tune
Can i run speed density with my stock turbo 2020 STI?
As long as you have a tune, you definitely could. I would suggest a Hybrid kit for this case.
Can you make hybrid ones for Honda j35z4 and newer engines?
Unfortunately, we are only making these for Subaru engines.
@@iwiresubaruwiringsolutions5538 Ok thanks, no worries.
Does this means I can use a bov for my sti instead of using cobb bpv once I have the hybrid speed density installed and a tune?

Please email this question to info@iwireusa.com so I can get you to a tech that can help :)
Hey any issues with Cobb greenspeed?
No issues. Cobb left the SD and Hybrid MAF as is.
Do u make a kit for 2g eclipse and dsm and do u use ecuflash to tune with and can u help with a tune i hv been working on
Hello, unfortunately we only making wiring products for Subaru cars.
Do you guys know any tuners you’d recommend in Socal?
Yimisport would be a good place to start.
