Digging into the Eventide H9 | Favorite Presets and How I Use It!
Just use the tremolo bridge. Don't break your guitar.
I need a full cover
I'm sure that no matter what type of guitar it is, It is unnecessary to bend the neck to achieve vibration effect. It added unwanted tension to the neck, resulted in change in neck relief. Also it puts unnecessary force on the neck unevenly, increase the risk of having a twisted neck. That's why there is trussrod to help stabilize the neck through climate change, and keeps it straight. One time a friend of mine came over and bend the neck of my Fender Customshop Strat, I thought that was so stupid, all he had to do was use the tremolo bridge. I will never forget that day ever.
Verheyen might be a great player but he obviously doesn't understand the simple physics of the strat trem. What he says is total physics nonsense. If string tension equalled spring tension, the bridge would be decked, hard. Look at the lever lengths of the strings and springs to the knife edge rotation axis. It's much longer for the springs. In order for the bridge to float, it's the TORQUE from the springs that must match the TORQUE from the strings. And to do that, spring tension must be much LOWER than string tension. His angled claw is also physics nonsense. You get exactly the same intervals whether the claw is angled or not. Because the trem has a single common axis shared by all the strings - the knife edge. Also, there is not typically less tension on the treble strings and more on the bass strings. He's wrong about that too. But it doesn't matter anyway. You get the intervals that the string stiffnesses and their individual lever arm lengths to the axis give you (affected by things like saddle heights). You can't change that by angling the claw. You would need a different trem design to do that. Just watch Frudua on youtube. Straightforward trem setup procedures without the nonsense physics.
Hope you don't mind, I will be using this for someone showing their love for...well dirt...probably best not to ask
I've gotta see it! Send it my way hahaha
dont mind at all
as a Tonex / Quad Cortex, newly Kemper Stage owner this was awesome to watch. I don't know why but no one covers this in depth. I'm all about the DI captures because I'm an amp in the room kind of guy and I was trying to figure out the best way to go about this. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything. I'll be using a Jet attenuator and a Fryette Ps-100 to create my Di captures and like you I have a Behringer mixer that I'll mix 2 mics to create a "Studio" profile. Thanks for the video man
Daniel, you rock! Love your playing 👍🏼. I think you could make any pedal, etc... sound good. Great tones and a great little to the point review. God bless you!
Nice. What is that box on top of your Matchless head? I always see that but I don't know what it is.
Yet another video that talks about the Carl V tuning method, but doesn't demonstrate how to do it.
Thank you both fornthe video. What about the tone? Is it affect the signal?
How are you getting on with the thornbucker pickups?
reharmonization is SICK AS HELL bro omg this gives the solo so much movement and energy i appreciate it a lot
I saw Carl's video about 6 months ago and did this to my Jeff Beck Strat (which already stayed in tune) and it took maybe 1/2 hour and works perfectly, except it's set to a major 3rd for the G. The low-E side spring and claw touch the side of the rout, but it has no negative effect, so go for it if you want -I love it!
Whar is that kemper pedalboard standing on? Is it something specific for pedals like a tray or something?
Males turning soft in this world Sad
You may cover this here but If I want to use my analog delay and reverb pedals, how do I use these with the player? I assume you just put them AFTER the Kemper - but the Kemper has balanced L&R out and would be going into pedals wanting to see unbalanced TS cables?
not sure if this is still monitored, but I get the E, B, and G intervals, but the E still goes sharp when I am aggressive with the tremolo bar...it's frustrating to adjust, play, tune, and need to adjust due too the E going sharp... I just read here a comment by BrainClark saying to only adjust one of the claw screws...I'll give this a try... also the comment by gm6417 saying back in the '70's he's been using this method with success. I've watched the Carl Verheyen video too, and neither that one nor this one actually SHOWS how to do this...
@@backlineguy yeah it’s definitely a painful process to check and recheck the intervals when tuning this up. But well worth it in the end!
Love my Powered Head. Due to several factors such as finance and lack of accessibility with Rig Manager, I, as a blind musician haven't been able to use Kemper products until recently when I discovered that someone wrote accessibility scripts for rig Manager to work with my screen reader. I'm hoping that Kemper and other companies will consider blind and disabled musicians in future, but for now, loving the tones I'm getting from the Powered Head and Kemper nonpowered kabinet. Have you found an easier way to transport the head?
Dude sounds great! I love mine i have been a 15 year tube amp pedal guy past 2 years I’ve made the plunge to digital so glad I went Kemper . I love the MBritt stuff but I’m open for new suggestions for the rig I’m building for the new band I’m with
I made some great direct profiles running it through my suhr reactive load. But everyone on the Kemper forum told me I’m not supposed to use a load box per Kemper. Not sure how else this would be accomplished.
Switch them back bruv
Good video!
This is fantastic. I love it. Is there a tab available for this anywhere?
Pop Music needs more guitar solos
I agree!
This will be a loooong weekend with 6+ floating bridge guitars...

Thoughts on pedals I should include?
Question.. whats the signal chain?
Any chance you were able to keep the P90 covers that came with the fralins, but used over the almafitanos? That is to say, if you had nickel Fralin covers, could you use them with the almafitano pick ups?
I believe I reused the covers! I just dropped the guitar off at my tech's and he did the swap
@@DanMmusic Don't mean to push......but any chance you can confirm with your tech??? Would love to know for certain....
I LOVE my Powered Head. Best guitar purchase I ever made.
I love my Ampero One Silver Edition for 180 EUR, but there are some bugs I wish they would fix
This would be a good unit for someone just getting into the modeliing world. Get a short TRS to XLR male cable adapter so you can plug into FOH cables easily.
Just starting the video but I’m guessing the answer is going to be no. I can’t imagine anything taking the place of my Quad Cortex.
Are you Phil McKnights relative? You talk and looks just like him.
This thing is best for straight amp sounds, presets be damned. The amp models are perfectly usable and can be boosted with most famous boost and eqs. The modulation and delays are fine if used sparingly. It's best to run these through at least 50-100 watt amp so you can turn the amp up and control the volum through pedal, makes it sound less synthetic.
In all seriousness buying these units is insanity. I use a podhd500x which is under $200 on reverb. I have done blind tests with bands, pro guitar players, and average joes. It is literally just a good as a helix. People hear with their eyes period. Don’t spend a thousand on a unit. As soon as the next generation comes out they always go down in value by. 80%
The damn thing is pretty fckn awesome.
you could use the first pod at any live gig and not one person would know. ultimately, we guitarists are buying equipment for OUR ears....not the audience. the cheapest modelers sold today are still very gig able. even the $36.00 cube baby has 2-3 decent sounds. we have arrived :)
Love the tones and the board! The hybrid dual-lock/velcro approach blew my mind way more than it should have. Never thought of that before, but it makes so much sense.
The phrase I hate more than anything is "just as good as" - if you have to say it then it's not.
Pretty good contender for the price point. The tiny buttons for changing the effects is a weird choice. I expect adding more foot buttons would crank the cost up pretty quickly. I think "at the end of the day," a better choice would be the Pod Go, which is like 10x the device at 2x the price....
Clicking on the side might be for the way hot air from inside ?
Thoughts??
Hello! Amazing board& your skill! Did you put q-tron at 1st in the signal chain? Could you tell me about your signal chain?
Did you get the standard, low or high Wind Lollar Imperial F space?

Thx for the profiles man ! I Just tried these a bit and that FAT KU47 is a killer I used a noble screamer with it and its sound like the best profile i 've found for gary moore style blues . I always find the kemper overwelming that theres like 30000 profiles but I think i found a profile to stick with U made me a happy kemper user again :)
So glad to hear, that one is a mainstay for me as well
Hello Daniel ! Do you know what size strings are needed to adjust the vibrato in the way presented on Carl Verheyen Whammy Bar/Floating Bridge Setup? Actually i play on EXL 115 with .011 on the 1st string. Should I change string size ? THANKS !
Thanks, am tweaking towards that point with each string change. Next one will just about get me there.
