@@DanMmusic apparently the cut knob only cuts treble on the power amp section, so it makes more of a difference when the power section is being pushed, but not so much at low volume.
The matchless DC 30 is definitely top 10 of all time greatest amps.. you’re right about the modeling I have a last gen Peavey Vypyr pro 100 that has an awesome matchless patch in it as well as some other boutique amps they just sound ridiculously good. In my experience all of the different modeling technology just does way better with these type of amplifiers versus the usual suspect high gain chugging amps😊
This is really informative. Thanks for being very concise and giving an excellent historical run down of the Matchless 30 amps!
Dude. That is a badass tone in the intro. Glad you mentioned the cut knob, I had been wondering about that.
Thanks! The cut knob is a weird one for sure, very subtle

The Matchless is a true collector's item and will hold its value forever. The Kemper won't. Kempers are going to be throw-away's some day.
This is the end all be all?
This may be the King. But the Queen is the AC30.
I see what you did there
Ah! I didn't get it at first! That's pretty good!
Then is Marshall “The Governor”?
Most epic intro ever
I miss doing the cinematography parts of RUclips lol. Glad you liked it
