The face is great! I wish I had put her on a different body in this video... she matches the 1.0 Kissmela better and also the pink red Mengf one. But at the time I made the video, I thought I could live with the match between head and new body 😅

Overall, no heads are fine for me 😅 But I would HIGHLY appreciate darker skintones. Regarding action figures, the lack of different skintones is a real bummer to me 😮‍💨. WorldBox is still young, especially when it comes to the girl bodies. Maybe we will get more diversity in the future. At least I have seen full sets with WorldBox bodies lately. But so far, nothing I really fell in love with... but that can always change 😁

Maybe at some point in the future, I won't be able to do that anymore, but I don't expect that to happen anytime soon 😆 It sounds like you had some real troublesome weeks! I mean, having time with a cutie like a baby grandson must be great... but you still were recovering from your foot injury. I am sure it still should be checked, but as always, the most important thing is self-awareness. When you feel that it is good again, then I am sure it is. I guess the fun at the fair was not worth the sickness 😢. Every infection of the respiratory is just bad. I had a very bad pneumonia at the age of 19 and ever since, I got my problems with the lungs when I get real sick. Therefore, I can absolutely relate! I hope you cured out the infection, because you know it can come back... and most of the time it is then even worse. Sure, they can 😅 But I never talked about it 🫣 I think it is a valid part of the whole kitbash idea. You can buy seperate headbacks with different hairstyles to swapp them out, for example. Of course it is also easier to repaint or airbrush the face without the hair. But of course the head shouldn't fall apart when removing only the neck adapter 😱 Very recently I got a Super Duck head that had it's neck adapter glued in. It was only a small part of it glued... So, I don't know if it was intentionally. I guess the way they produce these heads also safe production costs. You make the head backs and you can then use them with different face plates 😁

@Endollphins ah!!! Glad it wasn't me! I ended up getting the neck connector out and in a panic....l.glued the wig part to the head🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The new pink red one is the first one that does not have any grey undertone 😃 I hope they will have more new colors next year, would be great for Barbies! I used to face up and blush my resin BJDs and you are totally right, MSC can change a lot... and not always in a good way! Even when you use high quality material 😮‍💨 It's fun, but it also takes so much time and when the sealant dries in a funky way or it chips, I'm loosing it 😁 Last time I did a face up was already 2 years ago, but maybe next year again... With fashion dolls, I truly enjoy the factory screening. It makes playing with them so easy but I totally understand why you like to customize yours. It is always a way to impress your style and understanding for art. In the end of the day, you transformed a mass-produced item into a one of a kind 😃 I love the fact that there is a ton of possibilities to enjoy the doll hobby 😄

Thank you so much❣️ I am surprised that I haven't seen an announcement for a new series so far 🤔 Hopefully, Zuru will not sort out the series... I mean it would be possible, because production can't be that cheap. But maybe they just skip it for a while, because series 3 was first released with bags only and later on with shoes as well. I am sure a lot of collectors were upset about it, because they already bought the "only bags" version and the price difference was not that big. It is really hard to judge on the defective ratio of the items. For that I would have had to open up way more of these. Overall the rate was pretty low. So far I had two pairs of shoes that were defective. The fabric on one pair was largely damaged on one pair and one pair of boots were very uneven in length. With the bags, there were some minor flaws on the material and some wonkiness on some closures... but I think the unfinished side of the blue one plus wonky label and Super Glue stain, was already the worst defect I have seen. As collector you always want perfection on a new item. But so far the overall quality I think was the same for all 3 series. I hope they can keep up with that 😁

You're right! It is a rather busy time, but overall it is still only a few days 😅 The black and white is really nice! I am so excited to see what the next series will look like... It can, but only with a very, very stiff or hard head. I originally bought them for the MGA Topmodel heads I bought prior on Ali. These heads work great on those bodies, even for looking down. Older, smaller Barbie heads with a more firm structure will also be able to look down... But it is still in fact pretty limited 😅

@@Endollphins I might have to shave (by using a heated knife) one side of the neck pegs to make the top slanted so that from behind , the back of the head would be able to look down.

It's worth a try. I guess I'm more the sanding down type than the cutting off one... but I think in the end it should be the same result 😅 The neck peg has a very unusual shape. No clue why they chose it in the first place.

@@Endollphins I will make it like the licca head neck peh. it should be cone like, I think the top edge is what is preventing ithe doll head from bending down.I tried the heated knife technique with my Audio Technica M50x headphones. I just shaved some part of the cylinder which has a small indent that blocks any 3,5 mm wire. now i can use any 3. generic wire than the headphone's expensive 2.5 specialty wire.

I wish I could❣️ For doll clothing, I am just a buyer. The dresses are originally made for very tiny BJDs called Lati White and Felix Brownie... and they are old. I bought them at least 10 years ago 😅

I totally get what you mean. The thing is that the screening is very flat on these. It is not a multi colored layerd print like with IT or the traditional Barbie screening. But for the price it still looks good. The hair is definitely not knoted and there is also no glue. There was some shedding for mine, but not too bad. With most of the budget Defa Lucy dolls, the shedding was more intense... but not even for all of them. So, I guess it's a bit based on luck 😅

Yes, at least mine did not have any real attachment like glue or heat treatment (like Mattel does it nowadays). I never beheaded a Rainbow High doll... I wonder how they keep the hair in place 🤔 When it comes to Kanekalon or Saran, Mattel also used no method to keep the hair in place before the mid 2000s (I think 😅). When the plugs are full, the shedding is comprehensible. But for sleek nylon, it is problematic since the fiber does not have a lot of grip... if that makes sense in any way. The one in the video has very curly hair, so I didn't try out different hairstyles. But I have read that some collectors added glue to prevent the hair from falling out too much. I hope you'll like your new doll and that she won't shed so much... aaaand, of course, that they still use this hair fiber. Since that was the best part on her for me personally 😊

@@Endollphins Thank you for the product information. Yes, I recognize that about nylon hair. In fact I prefer nylon for how smooth it is, which is why I wish manufacturers would knot the hair strands in place because that’s what happened to my red-orange haired Defa Lucy- the nylon strands fell out so smoothly just combing it. Now I have to save the strands and find time to reroot it. We really got what we paid for somehow, cheap price, minimal labor on hair.

With nylon hair, I always used glue 😅. I did knotting for Saran before, but nylon was too slippery for me. I use acetone free glue, which takes weeks to dry completely... but I think it's saver for the vinyl. Nylon is very nice to touch 😊. So far, luckily, I had no doll that lost full streaks while combing out. That's, of course, not nice 😮‍💨
